I got a r12 max dmg on my 3rd run like 2 weeks ago

since then, i've maybe gotten 5 golds total...drops a crap now

I usually clear the whole area. The only things i cannot kill is the monk boss and those nasty mandragors

The build i use is on the pictures a page or two back. Scourge Healing is for the Grub Lance.

Problem is ... if the insect group BEFORE the corsairs has a grub lance .. rezone, game over.

Spirit Shackles can do the trick. Get your energy up high then go in casting : Spirit shackles on the grub>arcane echo>vwk. You can recast SS a time or 2 as you're fighting, if everything goes well he'll run out of energy just as you're on the last vwk, killing the 2 termites, then he's screwed and you can just use another vwk or vengeful weapon.

I also take recuperation instead of any 10 cost weapon spell... because I don't like 10 cost weapon spells for rough areas... they can cause an e management problem at the worst moments with a vwk build. With recuperation you just cast it first with physical resistance, wait a couple seconds for energy to get up again, then go in with normal echo vwk process.

Pretty easy once you get used to it, although there's far easier places.
