very soon colossal simitar = dead sword (nice skin, but allmost NO value)

I never cared about skins so much...but damn this thing looks nice.

Someone already begged to buy mine for 100k ++ I was thinking about keeping it, so wondering if these things have really doubled in number and chances are that it will significantly drop in price

they have alread dropped a ton in price

Req 9 used to go for 100k+140 ectos

now it sells for around 100k+30e...... or even less.

"Fizzled" is right. I've farmed here for hours and no scimitars. Now I get 1 purple the first run and nothing else but copper shillings and corsair raiments. I even do missions, change characters, take long breaks! wtf

217 runs @ 5 minutes per run = 18 hours to get my first one. I don't even want the thing now, but I sure as heck am not gonna sell a 9 for a measly 100k+25e. Forget it. I will stick it on my Koss for 225k. Turn back now before you waste your life. I could have made way more money farming other items in that amount of time. People puking this thing out at 100k+25e are crazy. I can't believe I wasted that much time. I spit on this colossal and all others like it.

So what is the next million g item that we can turn worthless? Actually, ANET pretty much did it for us with that last update. As ectos drop past 6k this morning (trader-1k)...other items will drop as well. Anyone else notice farming and the game in general got a lot less fun just in the last 2 weeks?

I think I am gonna dye this colossal a flaming pink color....

lol well i have done this runs countless times and no sword for me

But i have noticed i`ve been farming 3 diff areas over two days(7hrs per day) alternating between zhelon, bergen and titans (defend denravi quest).

Now all day yesterday i was getting not great gold drops but i had steady drop rate of golds purples and tomes along with few chests and today i have done the same 3 runs and all i`ve had is 3 golds wtf. Mainly white crappy drops .( and i have been trying to mix it up a bit with trading and doing little missions but to no avail)

And anet said the hard mode anti farming hasn`t been touched, my ass

So the solo farming hasn`t been nerfed lol .
when i first learnt about loot changes i went spare, then when anet abated to solo pressure i thought great, but after soloing since the changes i feel the guts have now left the game for me as all the prices have dropped, so theres nothing to farm for anymore and the drops are so bad after u farmed an area for a bit it seems.

So in conclusion

Yes anet have given a new dimension to the game if u like to do the missions all over again or u cars about title, but to be honest so far for us farmers its not looking very good not really alot to look forward too now, farming was always great as u had hope of that 1 mill weapon dropping which is why alot of us farmed, now that 1milll weapon and others like it will be worth less than an id kit soon.
I will be spending more time farming to see if this continues but i dont hold much hope>

So i raise my glass to you anet ty for 2 great years but you have taken away a big part of my guild wars gaming recently and i think i`m gonna have to look at other games for my enjoyment now Phhhfffttttt.

If for any reason you can't go Mo/D but you have a 55 monk... here's a build for that. I am not ascended and not planning to do that in the near future so I just worked this build out:

Shield of Judgment, Mending, Balthazar's Spirit, Shield of Absorption, Shielding Hands, Watchful Healing, Healing Breeze, Protective Spirit.

Now, I have not finished 15 attribute quests so you can even tweak the attributes further. My attributes are:

15 Smiting
12 Healing
9 Protection
9 Divine

55 HP, 20% Enchanting +5 energy weapon, -50 cesta - Basic Setup

Timing is crucial in this build. When you have both Watchful and Breeze activated, you will have 0 degen so shielding hands/soa timing is really important. Anyways, this build does its' job. Got a gold Adamantine Shield and a purple Tattooed Scimitar for my caster in 3 runs, so I'm happy

The farming spots are IN ELONA. Why would someone who has BEATEN NF not be able to go Mo/D?

Alright, let's think, shall we... You only have to beat NF once to get hard mode unlocked for all characters, right? Right. So, let's say you make a monk in Factions due to fast leveling up process there and go directly to NF. Now, you can't pick Dervish as your secondary in Factions and you have to ascend to be able to change your secondary, which is a waste of time. Makes a bit more sense now?
