Anyone got a Ranger build for farming these Corsairs? I trapped them easily, but because they all die at once, I get less loot maybe? Did about 30 runs, no gold, gonna try some more.

This is a moddified version of someone ellses , not super fast but super safe, if you want you can swap armor of earth out with another attack spell.

If you mean the Grub Lance on the way just ignore it and its friends, cast all enchantments before me meet them then run past and engage the corsairs, your silver armor will eventualy kill the insects and the Grub lance does 0 damge to you anyway.

Edit: I farm Zehlon Reach as do most other players here.

Yeah there is the ele build I posted somewhere around here. Simply ditch Aftershock for Glyph of Elemental Power when you're heading for Zehlon Reach. And you can actually kill monks if you get their AI Pattern down.

They first send their melees in and while the melees are still attacking, the monk will kite like the crazy monkey he is. But once the melee fighters are dead, the monk stops kiting and stands still, awaiting his death. The bosuns and medics don't have any healpower anyways. They're moreover specced on smiting.

And the observation I made earlier about the Loot Quantity and Quality highly depending on your killspeed seems to be somewhat true. The ele build is no doubt slower than the Mo/D Build, simply because it kills them one by one. The funny thing though is, over the course of an hour with each build, the one killing them all roughly at the same time wields a lot less loot with a lot less quality than the one killing them one by one.
Often enough when a whole mob dies at the same time they drop 2 or 3 items. When they die one by one they drop a lot more. Maybe there is indeed some mechanism like there is with soul reaping. Who knows, until I know better I stick to the slower Build. Maybe it really is just coincidential luck but i'm not gonna break my luck on purpose

that's the build I use too, but you could have 9 in earth prayers, to keep your regen while you're weakened

FINALLY after many many runs my colossal dropped for me. been doing this right since HM went live and i finally got it. req 12 though but im not bothered as ill use it as a nice caster weapon

Also managed to find a gold max req 9 ornate scimitar. Are those worth anything at all? oh and a gold req 9 strength istani shield. Any info on those would be appreciated

and for all those who still havnt gotten their colossals yet, just keep at it. its quite rewarding when you finally get it
