Well I'm a bit late jumping onto this band wagon but started my corsair killing spree last night with my E/D, got a gold vabbian, purple vabbian, purple tatooed, and a gold bow. Only did 3 runs so looking good.

Finally got a req 10 one and gave it to my monk. Odd thing was...i got 6 rares in total that run.

There is a true army of Mo/D there by now. Roughly 30 monks in the district and running out at every moment. That means a lot more of them outside. This thing is going earthbound. Reaaaaaally quick.

I need to get my monk the derv secondary still so I tried with my necro. It was not pretty... I can kill them, but it takes a long time with smite hex + burning arrow.

At this rate I'll be able to buy a Colossal Scimitar (even if it is req.13) before I ever get to try farming them myself.

I have been attempting this for the last 2 days.

Had 2 gold Tattooed ... Still waiting for a Colossal. And i'm probally one of the only people that don't want to sell it :'(

I STILL havnt gotten a colossal. iv been farming zehlon for days and havnt gotten one yet! my luck sucks!

I feel horrible for dropping the price like that. srry people.

I noticed that no one seems to have gotten a req 8 yet. Maybe i'll get one after doing this for so lond

Correct jeans please stop kicking yourself it's really not a big deal.

People were already farming there as soon as HM was released. The only thing you did was confirm that they were actually dropping there.

It's not hard to figure out that:

Corsairs drop Colossals
Level 20+ Corsairs exist in HM on Istan
55 builds with Mystic Regen and SoJ will take them out (no healers)

As for your luck: I'm deeply sorry! It's not fair that other people are getting them in their first few runs and you've been farming for days and none dropped...

I got mine last night after three days of farming. Req 9 and it's clean (no mods just inscription slot). I probably farmed Zehlon and Moddok for ~9 hours total before one dropped. I'm going to sell it just because they are going to become cheaper and cheaper as time goes by-just like Dead Swords did. I figured sell it now and get what I can for it and rebuy it down the road for 1/3rd the price. My only saving grace is that mine is a Req 9 which is still pretty rare.

Also mine was dropped by a Cutthroat if anybody is interested in that. My runs were very crappy last night as well. I was getting runs of only 1 pile of gold and 2-3 white drops. Then on like my 4th run I finally got a gold bow or something, then the 5th run I got another gold bow and a gold off-hand, then on the 6th run the Colossal dropped. So if you're drops are going sour continue to be persistent and it will pay off!

I'm about to cry, 4 hours last night farming, none dropped yet. You'll be seeing me as a Mo/D in the astralium in a few hours again. I'm pretty determined, eventually ill get it, just seeing the people who get it at like their 4th run makes me cry haha. O well, some peepz have all the luck eh?

Any colossals drop in maddog I wish they are because it is harder in zehlon than maddog. And any other corsair other than cutthroath drops it?

Ok, their droprate is INSANE. got in total 3 colossal scimitars. 1 yesterday, 2 today. req 9 (kept for my wammo), req 13 sold for 170k, req 10 sold for 500k

By those prices you allready see that their price is dropping FAST

Well after hearing a friend farming for colossals I decided I would give it a try, but alas no monk. Now I've read people are doing this with Ele.

My question is what is the build, and do you farm zehlon or moddock. I tried one Ele build posted in this thread, but you can't kill if theres a monk.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
