I had to break with my board-lurking ways to comment on this thread, as the concept is one I've always enjoyed. In particular, I feel drawn to comment on the all-Paragon team build and the all-Mesmer questions.
FoW is fundamentally incapable of dealing with Paragons, like... well, pretty much everywhere except the Desolation and the Domain of Anguish. I've gone and exploited this pretty much everywhere with my paragon, and it is always an interesting challenge. From my experience there, I'd like to give a few pointers regarding paragon team composition.
One, a paragon team thrives on daze, and there are a number of option available to paragons to cause it. Daze + focused fire = useless and soon very dead caster.
Two, the chants and shouts in that build are far too redundant, which means they overwrite each other constantly, depriving the team of their full effectiveness. Also, this leads to neglect of a lot of other skills, which may seem less amazing, but will work rather than compete with each other.
Three, Finale of Restoration has unparalled healing qualities when sufficient chants and shouts are present, so much so that you can completely ignore hexes that do damage, as opposed to prevent you from shouting or gaining adrenaline.
For a more specific example, I'll leave a 4-person/hero build I occasionally do the FoW with. Admittedly, one is a R/P, and thus its almost cheating in this thread, but this is just for demonstration and I can't get a third paragon hero anyways. Here it is:
Me, as P/W: 11+2 spear, 10+1+2 Leadership, 9 Tactics
Spear of Redemption + Spear of Fury + Anthem of Flame + Anthem of Fury (e)+ Save Yourselves + There's Nothing to Fear + Watch Yourself + Signet of Return
Morghan as P/x, 11+2+1 spear, 11+2 motivation, 8 leadership
Spear of Lightning + Merciless Spear + Song of Restoration (e) + Mending Refrain + Signet of Synergy + Chorus of Restoration + Lyric of Zeal + Signet of Return
Hayda as P/Me 11+2+1 spear, 11+2 motivation, 8 leadership, 3 inspiration
Spear of Redemption + Spear of Lightning + Finale of Restoration + Song of Purification + Ballad of Restoration + Chorus of Restoration + Signet of Synergy + Hex Eater Signet
Margid as R/P 11+1+2 marksmanship, 10+1 expertise, 10 command
Broad Head Arrow (e) + Distracting Shot + Screaming Shot + Whirling Defense + Lightning Reflexes + Anthem of Weariness + Anthem of Envy + Go For the Eyes!
Now, Mr Mango was wondering about whether all-Mesmer teams could do this. The answer is: all the time, and even in HM. Just this last weekend, i was in a 5-human 2-hero mesmer team that cleared the FoW in NM, but we've also done it in HM before, and that team was engineered far better. Here I'll shamelessly post a link to Deelundra's picture of the final scene:
http://razor.ovlla.com/FoW-HM-Mesmer.jpg
I'll try to recall the general build:
Three Domination Mesmers, one with Power Block, one Energy Surge, and... I don't remember the last. Between them, multiple copies of Empathy, Backfire, Shatter Enchant, and Cry of Pain were key.
Two Ineptitude Illusion Mesmers, one with Epidemic, both with clumsiness and various forms of degen skills.
Fast Cast Protection, with Protective Spirit, Spirit Bond, RoF, et cetera
Fast Cast Healing (You can see Dee's bar in the link)
Assassin Spammer (That was me)
(Assassin's Promise + Arcane Echo + Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support + Augury of Death + Shadow Sanctuary + Dancing Daggers + Entangling Asp + Res Sig)
This build provided the same kind of "tank" that necromancer minion masters do, a distraction while the enemy is disassembled by the other players. In fights, about 6 assassins can be kept active at a time.
Mesmer teams form to do things like this every week in International District 1 of Deldrimor War Camp at 9:00 PM GMT, I believe. There is are impressive threads on our other accomplishments on some other forums, as well.
I apologize for the comparative lack of professionalism in presenting these builds, but as I explained earlier, I am not an accomplished poster. Best of luck to all those who enjoy flouting "Balanced" teams.

And the PvE skills arent NEEDED, they are just there because its the best option, and makes it easier.

I would advise dropping SoL for Swift Javalin on all bars if you take the OoV.

Yes, it could be an option, but, you could just choose not to use SoL during OoV :P.

umm.... not really, i really dont like the whole tank idea, too dependent on one character, also you would have to wait all the time for the tank. With this build you can just keep running.

For your comment on the daze factor: since casters (monks/ele's etc) die so fast there's no need to make them dazed. Theres more than enough offense in this build so if a team can't outdamage 2 or 3 monks (without daze) they are probably playing it wrong. Better get a Cruel spear for the Stunning strike. Ofcourse, this was all NM but I can't imagine it would be alot more different in HM really.
In your second comment you certainly have a point. However, because of the lack of other usefull skills (In the motivation line, 'cause I think you're pointing to the SoR guys), we choose to use these. Also, if you pay a little bit attention (or only use it at the times that it's needed) most of this 'overwriting' can be avoided. We don't need condition removal so SoP isn't an option in FoW. Might take out 1 ballad of restoration for a 3th spear attack, but like said in the first post it depends on how offensive/defensive you wanna run this. Also, beware that if you're not running with essence of celerities that you should take Agressive Refrain on these motivation guys.
For the SoL vs Swift Javelin arguement; yes SoL doesn't benefit from OoV. However, SoL's damage is also (very) good without it, and it's maybe even equal or more DMG (on the long term, since SoL has much quicker recharge). Given that OoV isn't up 100% the time, we choose to go with SoL. But ye, swift javelin can be a replacement if you like it probably wouldn't matter much.

If Great Dwarf Weapon is spread around well enough it should make up for the lack of Dazed in HM.

Heals in HM are pretty bad actually. They easily heal for double the usual ammount with better recharge and cast time..

Though paragons can still easily outdamage it
