A paragon motivation based provides good synergy, me and my guildie run sabway and a variant of this (http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...hp?t=10254869). Try it out, its fun! We sometimes drop the SS for a monk WoH Hybrid and run 2 Ursans.
I just did Selve, Thom, Rand and Forge, using sabway, with the SS bringing Frozen Soil and Pestilence, me as Ursan, 2 monk guildies, WoH Hybrid and HB and 1 guildie Earth Warder. cleared Thom and Rand in under 30mins (used an Essence of Celerity) Selve 25mins and Forge in 40mins (hate this dungeon...), gona clear Duncan with sabway N/Rt resto, N/Mo SoR MM and N/R SV SoS FS tom.

I have read through most of the pages, but I didn't find an answer. I vanquished with sabway all of shing jeas areas. I am playing as monk preferable active prot with ZB, other builds won't be a problem either. Now I wanted to try some more difficult areas... .Anyway I dropped the N/Rt healer because I thought the amount of heal would be overkill. So I thought an interrupt or BHA ranger would be a good choice, but they didn't pay off too well. I had a "nice" try at Silent Surf, but failed miserably, the mob with the monk boss owns my group in a few seconds and in other situations the dmg output of the enemies is too overwhelming and without minions I don't stand a chance at all. So I ask: How would you run sabway playing as monk, because I can't think of a monk build that actually has any syngery with other builds or what would you use instead of the N/Rt healer.
I am sorry if this has been asked and answered allready or if something is unclear due to my poor english, thnx in advance. Nevertheless pretty nice build

I am a Pirate Arr -> my friend runs kinda crazy for monk build but he's not moaning with it.
He is Mo/Me maxed armor, sword (+5e +5 armor) if I good remember, isignia for energy in armor, and shield [+30hp -5dmg(20%)].
He got: Ursan, Summon Mursaat, another pve skill (pain invert ?), Ether Signet (for energy after Ursan), 3 heal/prot skills, some kind of res.

I play as a Save Yourselves! warrior together with all the second version of Sab's build posted on the first page. I can only say good things about it... It has so much more offensive power. I can now vanquish zones with it that I couldn't before. However I'm not certain if you will have enough defense if you're playing a non SY spammer.
Way to go man!

Hi, i've been running Sab's build for a while and i've been experiencing with the rest of the team tryin to complement the 3 necros, but i never actually made real changes on the build of any of the 3. Due to many things i can't really keep on track of this thread, so my question is: is there any update on the first sabway build posted on this thread?

Any thoughts of running Putrid Flesh on the mm hero? Adding disease along with poison would seem to be a good mix, just not sure how well the heros would use that skill.

From my experience, disease is worthless in Sabway. There are many more skills with more utility than adding 4 health degen.
On the other hand, equiping your MM with Putrid Flesh will speed up the usage of the minions as bombs. The negative to this however, is less time spent casting Death Nova, and less minions dying while enchanted with it.
Overall, I'd rather go with a skill such as Putrid Bile, one that can adding damage comparable to Death Nova.

Works for me, just was curious of the utility of the skill as it is an aoe condition. I will give the Putrid Bile a shot and see how things go. It's not like the build wasnt working prior, helped me vanq all of Cantha and Elona =] Always nice to see changes to make things better.

Nec playing an ursan seems kinda silly when you consider the fact that they easily outdamage it with a real bar (yes, a real skillbar, shocking i know).
Ursan shines when there's 6 of them on the team. 6 people with 200+hp and 20+ armor means 2 monks can easily keep them up, so you win pve. 1-2 ursans alone won't really do anything for the team.

Honestly Xonares tipp seems kind of stupid to me.. You are far better off playing a full prot line...
I would recommend depending on the area Rc, Zb, or my favorite SoD (this is shield of deflection hope its the one i mean gives 75% blocking chance etc).
Pain Inverter is a nice thing on ur monk too. drop rezz for it if u have it on your bar.
Some hex remove, SoA RoF Aegis Glyph and ull be good.
Know the area and take henchies accordingly. If you use sabway you should be fine with this...if not I have to think of something more intelligent..
@ Xonare I bet ou can find a lot of different build other than Ursan for your necro to synergize way better and have more fun playing as well. I think with a different build for you its easier.. I like to run an IV hero usually with me if I have a partner... Hope I could help you
Another edit: Sry but I find your friends monk bar quite horrible. And if "I am a Pirate Arr's" team dies so quickly it might be more usefull to strenghten the defence instead of taking stupid dmg skills on a monk. It's my opinion....Oh yea and I think its standart to run a maxed armor for vanquishing and weapons should be his choice i dont really think a shield with -5 (20%) is that usefull..anyways now enough criticism bout u^^

I would really like to figure out 3 more necro builds to run with the original sab's build. Since you already have 3 characters abusing soul reaping it seems like common sense to add 3 more heroes abusing it. However, I have difficulty coming up with anything to add.
Maybe one icy veins pure death necro to use the skills which damage on death. A protection n/mo could possibly help to use high energy elites, or another n/rt but it's hard to find any good elites besides weapon of remedy for the elite.
Just seems a bit hard to add extra damage and utility with the remaining necro heroes available.

Sab's builds cram the functionality of a whole team into 3 characters, and do a decent job at it. They don't do particularly well in an 8-man environment. You'd be better off making 6 new builds and "unpacking" a lot of the mismatched roles that got crammed onto the same bar out of necessity on the original three. Moloch in the necro forum has a thread with necro team builds.

Yeah, but even if you used it with 3 more necro's there has to be some ways for it to work good.
I was just thinking if you had an all death icy veins explosion necro to cast stuff on mobs, and an almost pure channeling necro that could cast ancestor's rage, splinter weapons, destruction spirit/ blood song or something and the spirit rift attacks nonstop it could do some decent damage.
All while keeping the other healer slot open. The death necro might not be that good, but it could possibly just be 2 channeling n/rts or something for extra damage.

Tbh I bring some Paragons for damage instead of three more Necros. If you still want to play six Necros though, I wouldn't use Moloch's builds as the three additional templates he posted are pretty weak and don't actually add much to the ones I posted.
I'd suggest another Resto N/Rt (with different spirits), a Spoil Victor+Curses, and the last guy with whatever damage-dealers you want to bring.

Yeah I usually do bring the 2 paragon 1 order dervish build. But I also will end up vanquishing areas with raptors and I am gonna have trouble with physical hitters in a lot of areas because of blind or adrenaline hexes or blocking enchants. So I was just looking for an idea on what to run when I end up in areas where physical damage will be pretty bad.
