OK, I'm a noob when it comes to equiping casters, so please be nice.
How do I equip the restoration necro with a 40/40 setup? I'm guessing that I want the 40/40 in restoration, but I can't find a 20/20 restoration wand mentioned anywhere (wikki nor google).
Also, if anyone could help by suggesting which collector/weponsmith/bonus/green/etc. items to start with and how best to mod them, I'd appreciate it.

Ive been using these three builds before I can get hold of all three necros:
[card]Blinding Surge[/card][card]Splinter Weapon[/card][card]Ancestors' Rage[/card][card]Enervating Charge[/card][card]Glyph Of Lesser Energy[/card][card]Air Attunement[/card][card]Death Pact Signet[/card]
[card]Word Of Healing[/card][card]Signet Of Rejuvenation[/card][card]Reversal Of Fortune[/card][card]Dismiss Condition[/card][card]Protective Spirit[/card][card]Aegis[/card][card]Resurrection Chant[/card]
[card]Jagged Bones[/card][card]Animate Bone Minions[/card][card]Death Nova[/card][card]Blood Of The Master[/card][card]Extinguish[/card][card]Spirit Bond[/card][card]Aegis[/card][card]Signet Of Lost Souls[/card]
As this is the setup I use on my necro (who has a similar build to sabs Curse necro) the combination of Barbs + cracked armour and weakness makes mobs go down pretty fast.

works well doesnt it? Anything that breaks through the minion line is blinded and spiked with AR. And as if that isnt enough, the monk deals with any left over damage, conditions or hexes. All pretty easy really. Only thinking of swapping Aegis out on the monk for something else...

Im SS so im using the MM, the necro healer and a ele warder.
The warder uses Shockwave, Ward against Melee, Ward against Elements, Maelstrom, Sliver armor(replaceable ofc), glyph of lesser, Aura of restoration, and earth attunement. Works good for me....
When i go Vanq with a friend he takes prot mo, heal mo and Nuker.
Never failed before.

You might try switching out [wiki]life[/wiki] on this skill bar for [wiki]empowerment[/wiki], since both of your rits are using item spells.

Hi Sab and others, I have a question.
I play a Monk primary and only have 2 Necros (Olias and Livia). It will be a while until I can get Master of Whispers (had just gotten Margrid...), so I wanted some suggestions on what to put on the 3rd hero spot. Livia is the SS, Olias is the MM. So I need something to replace the WoR Necro.
I was thinking of a Ranger (BHA/DShot/etc) or Elementalist (Mind Blast/Rodgorts/PDrain/etc). Could also go smiting (plus Pain Inverter) for myself, and add a hybrid Prot/Heal Monk hero.
Suggestions please?

I have very good results runnin as an SS with MoW and Olias running as a Jagged Nova Bomber and Heir to the Master and Livia as a Blood Necro/Rit battery/party buff. try for a heal monk and prot monk with fire nuker and an earth elementalist. not much need for tanks...the 20 or so minions handle that job pretty well themselves.

I'd go with a DA or SoR Paragon, and stick Splinter/Ancestors on the MM (instead of the Prot skills).

Well Sab your Necro Builds have serious results with little tickering them iv made 2xMM Build based off your MM Build using one as Prot/MM and using the other as Healer/MM and it works great. These Necros helpe me do Forgemaster Run in less than hour with a friend to cover. Looking at the build, I think this necro build help ppl farm FoW with 2 ppl and not 8 ppl and probaly do FoW clear in 2 hrs or less at the rate i was going.

I tried sticking splinter and ancestor's on the MM, but it didn't seem to work too well. Ancestor's does damage based on the level of the target it is cast on, and minions are low level. I didn't feel like splinter was being cast on the minions, either. Lately I've been making the MM a N/Me and using appropriate mesmer stances for defense. Making him a N/E and bringing some wards has popped into my head, too.

got my leg vanquisher with sab's build a few weeks ago. Only thing I ever changed was put convert hexes on the MM in the area with the many skales in Tyria... And the skill that allows your MM to take over hostile minions(verata's gaze?) for some areas (like the one with the moss scarabs in the jungle).
TY Sab... your build rox!

I have no clue how the AI picks it's target with AR, but a Flesh Golem would make this spell shine on a MM.

So is there any other option beside jagged bones? I dont have that elite and I have read that is what causes the MM to be slow and out of aggro range.

Tainted flesh (although if you think jagged bones causes the MM to lag behind, tainted is worse - just flag him up and he will stop casting and catch up with you).
Ward against harm
Restore condition
Deny hexes
Icy Veins
Reaper's mark
Expel hexes
Just about anything really. The core of the bomber build is [wiki]animate bone minions[/wiki] and [wiki]death nova[/wiki]. [wiki]Taste of Death[/wiki] is also great for keeping the hero alive. Other than that, any or all of the skills can be replaced depending on the situation you are going into and what you are having problems with.
