Smiter Hero builds for MM?
So I been looking around, and I became interested in the Smiting Prayer's Attribute line as a hybrid damage dealer + party healer or prot to the Rit/N Minion Bomber who typically takes along a Necro-main Hero with Fiends. I'm looking for suggestions on Hero builds. This is for general PVE. For the purposes of this thread, I will refer to both kinds of Minion Managers as MMs. Both MMs typically run heavy on the enchantments, mainly minion-based, but the Rit has 3 main board enchantments always on. For additional reference, my Rit/N thread: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3039479

imho, the only viable smite build (aside from farming and all) is boonsmite (but I'm a boonsmite fanboy lol)
I don't know how that will translate to your minion bombing, but heroes don't seem to have a problem with it.

Here's a first-draft bar, no runes or insignia yet. Basically, between the MB, Fiends MM, and the Barbs-spamming Curses Necro, this build will be dropping spells on the minions and party. I might drop Contemplation... Any suggestions?
[build=OwQTQWHDtBi4So+PkqPLZGKJAA]
PS: Boonsmite has no E-management... I'd rather take Offering of Blood and some health-steal, keep that armor-ignoring theme going.

Slots 4,5, and 8 are, essentially, optional. Fill it in with [Protective Spirit], party heals, a rez, etc. It's core is very strong. Whatever you bring will only make it more flexible.
With the two boons you get a 138 point heal with 13 DF (147 with 14 DF) in RoD, a 1/4 second cast with a 3 sec recharge.
Smite hex/condition are ward-range, armor ignoring, AoE damage, utilizing your frontliners and minions.
For PvE, [Defender's Zeal] and [Glyph of Renewal]/[Divine Spirit] are good alternatives for [Boon Signet], but a very beautiful thing about it is that the Elite skill does not dictate the rest of the bar.
[Defender's Zeal] and [Boon Signet] are good for energy management. You might have to hotkey those skills, but it's not tedious, really. Offering of Blood requires speccing into Blood Magic, which isn't too beneficial when you have DZ.

[divine boon][smiter's boon][smite condition][reversal of damage][smite hex][defender's zeal][judge's intervention][castigation signet]
Replace judge's with divine intervention, it's personnal preference.
I don't like how heroes use Boon sig but some use it and it seems to work OK.

smooth...
perhaps he should try [auspicious incantation] instead... use it on [balthazar's aura]... Seems fairly obvious to me.
EDIT: wait a minute!!! Aren't you supposed to have [[reversal of damage] on a smiters boon monk??? Bargamer's bar is all messed up and wrong in so many ways... just terrible.

Take out OoB, Vamp Swarm and Balth Aura.
Put in Reversal of Damage, Castigation Signet and an elite of your choice. I personally like Spell Breaker to be honest, but Defender's Zeal is quite nice if you're struggling with energy.

Um, its cheap, has a fast recharge, negates damage and with Smiter's Boon and 13 Divine Favour it heals for 83 health. Yes it pretty much is needed.
If you are playing smiter just for the damage then your doing it wrong, go play an elementalist.

...
okay, the point of bringing RoD isn't just the damage mitigation, but the fact that, with the two boons, IT'S A BIGASS HEAL! Look at the stats. 5 energy for a 138 point heal with a 1/4 second cast time and a three second recharge.
It's not only needed, it's mandatory.

[skill]Reversal of Damage[/skill] is to smite monks as [skill]Reversal of Fortune[/skill] is to Prot Monks. It shouldn't leave the bar for anything short of a miracle creating skill, imo.
