MoP Promise Necro and heroes
Well, I got a little bored and went out to cap Assassin's Promise to try a variation N/A Promise MoP nuker and tossed together these hero builds to go along with it. The pets along with the spearchuckers can get some mad DPS going along with MoP and Barbs up. Not to mention the KD's from GDW.
Me, Promise Curses:
[build prof=N/A Curses=12+1+1 Soul=10+1 Deadly=8][Enfeebling Blood][Assassin's Promise][Mark of Pain][Barbs][Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support][Rigor Mortis][Great Dwarf Weapon][Ebon Battle Standard of Honor][/build]
Heavy Tengu Spear of Fortitude: +33% Weakness, +5en, +30health
Tengu Curses Focus of Aptitude: HCT 20%, HSR 20%
Acolyte Jin, Stunning Strike:
[build prof=R/P Beast=11+1+1 Expertise=10+1 Spear=10][Disrupting Lunge][Holy Spear][Merciless Spear][Disrupting Throw][Stunning Strike][Tiger's Fury][Comfort Animal][Charm Animal][/build]
Stygian Spear: 33% Dazed, 15^50, +30 health
Any shield since you won't be meeting the requirements
Margrid the Sly, Cruel Spear:
[build prof=R/P Beast=11+1+1 Expertise=10+1 Spear=10][Disrupting Lunge][Holy Spear][Wild Throw][Disrupting Throw][Cruel Spear][Tiger's Fury][Comfort Animal][Charm Animal][/build]
Cruel Tengu Spear of Fortitdue: 33% Deepwound, 15^50, +30 Health
Master of Whispers, Icy Veins Healer:
[build prof=N/Rt Soul=12+1+1 Restoration=12][Icy Veins][Mend Body and Soul][Spirit Light][Protective was Kaolai][Life][Foul Feast][Signet of Lost Souls][Death Pact Signet][/build]
Tengu Spear of Enchanting: +5en, 20% Enchantments
Restoration Focus of Aptitude: 20% HSR, 20% HCT
It's not the best thing in the world and obviously lacks some defense, but the pets do a good job of taking aggro, I was planning on giving them [Rampage as One], and have yet to test it so that comes next.
Not taking credit for this build because it's kinda obvious it's not all too original.
Edit: Holy Spear was there to take care of the minions in areas infested with Stone Summit. -.-;

True enough, I just prefer keeping GDW on the physicals and Splinter kept removing it.

id replace a ranger with an mm, this thread actually helped me a little thanks. i got bored of running sabway and throwing the odd hex around and so i was looking fro something a little different. so ive been experimenting with hero builds that all synergise with each other plus the promise build. id go witht he traditional sabway n/rt tbh though.

The N/Rt was originally a Jagged MM, I've just been fooling around with them, tweaking as needed.
The original N/Rt looked like:
[build prof=N/Rt Death=12+1+1 Soul=8+1 Channeling=10][Jagged Bones][Animate Bone Minions][Death Nova][Putrid Bile][Splinter Weapon][Ancestor's Rage][Signet of Lost Souls][Flesh of My Flesh][/build]

Splinter is even > Barbs. Since he is bringing [[Great Dwarf Weapon], splinter is not really needed here, although it can be painful for the player to keep it up on heroes/henchies and pets.
MoP effectiveness depends on the skill of the player. Heroes just have no skill.

this looks pretty solid. you might want to change one of those rangers for a paragon. I dont think your gaining much from the ranger primary.
I wouldnt use this myself though, i kinda fail with AP :/

I like the pets. :x And I got tired of watching Morgahn and Hayda running around. I was looking at a more defensive version using the paragons, but that'll come later.

I mainly try to keep GDW up on the two rangers, and if I'm in EotN I put it up on Aidan as well for some mass KD. And <3 MoP, I was taking out whole groups of Charr in a couple seconds while questing for Ebon Vanguard skills. The defense is kinda on the low side though.

Great Dwarf Weapon is awesome. The only thing I would suggest is dropping Master of Whispers for a Paragon.

Instead of [Disrupting lunge] I'd probably take [Barbed Spear] and [Poisonous Bite]. The interupt from distrupting strike is too unreliable for my liking, and I like to get in some more conditions, cos if weakness is removed, it renders [Disrupting Throw] and [Stunning Strike] useless (no conditions).
Other than that it looks solid, but yeah, I'd take an MM. 10 Minions + [mark of pain] = win. end of.

Because I took it off my monk and didn't want to put on a +30hp mod. -.-
