How does this monk build look?
Been trying out this build I made last night,
[Dunkoro's new build;OwYT0s3C5hhUSub1j7KyY6bRAA]
it seems to work okay, any comments or ideas for improvements?
I wanted to try a build with UA and that came to mind.
the attribute points are:
healing prayers: 6 +2 (the major ruin is from a previous build I used, I don't remember why I chose a major ruin though)
protection prayers: 11 +1 +1
divine favor: 12 +1

I would replace Purge Conditions with Dismiss Condition, seeing as you have a fair amount invested into Protection Prayers.
Also worth considering is that your quick heals have activation times of 2 seconds and 1 second respectively. This may cause issues against Mesmers and Rangers.
I've been trying to work with Unyielding Aura as well, as I think it's probably one of the better Res skills now, with a healing bonus to boot. Just some food for thought, I've been trying to build a party-wide healing build - Unyielding Aura + GoLE + Heal Party + Divine Healing + Heaven's Delight.

the reason I chose purge conditions instead of dismiss conditions is because purge removes all conditions from that ally and I thought that would be useful
the quick heals are there for both extra e-management since they are signets and to make sure of the extra healing they get from UA

It also has a really long recharge. Not very useful when multiple people have conditions.

The signets don't get their healing buffed by UAura:

Moreover, I really don't think the -1 degen for the sake of an insta-res and the ~13% more healing it gives you over Healer's Boon is worth it. HB is by far a better option.
Aside from that, the only spell UAura will work with there is Cure Hex, and due to your investment in Healing Prayers it wont heal much with UAura's buff anyway.

Crappy version of the HB chain?....gole heal party.
Some people in my alliance have been working on 2 monks with arcane mimic. One having U. Aura and the other HB. They heal for like +104% or something ridiculous. They are pretty amazing. I think one of them tested infuse with it and said it healed for like 800-900. However that might be a little overkill. I think 1 monk with a heal/hybrid bar and one prot monk would still overall be better then 2 healing for so much.

Agree with Celestial on most of it. Don't use signets to heal when you have a buff to monk "spells." However, Unyielding Aura is godly, and absolutely without fail SHOULD be on at least one party member's skillbar. Why, you ask?..... unlimited instant rez range with full energy and health. nuff said.

I just can't bring myself to think of an elite res taking precedence over an elite that might actually keep you alive. The rest of the build is ok except I'd go:
[Dismiss Condition] over Purge and [Dwayna's Kiss] over Signet of Devotion (2s cast for not much heal is meh, not sure why its getting so much play in gvg)

that builds pretty bad tbh.
if you need an res so bad that you build your monk around an elite one at the cost of effectiveness you'll just need a res even more. sure you'll have one, but dp will build up to catatatastrophic levels of 9000 or more and it's better if monks just keep ppl alive in the first place.

sure, it's a godly res. but i seem to be doing just fine going with the lol-res-nothing-dies-ever approach. i think you meant it should be on at least one party member's skillbar if you expect to fail badly (pugs).

Bad. You have 2 really slow casting signets, and an elite that's less powerful than WoH.
Off the top of my head, a better hero bar would be...
[word of healing][protective spirit][glyph of lesser energy][dismiss condition][shield of absorption][signet of rejuvenation][cure hex][aegis]
I'd normally take [patient spirit] or [dwaynas' kiss], but hero energy management merits [signet of rejuvenation] instead.

But if you have party members who run out of normal res range then you picked your party really badly.
I can't think of any normal situation when I'd need to res someone from over the other side of the map. Perhaps when you need to split for G.O.L.E.M. you're slightly out of the range of rebirth ...but any people have managed to do it well without dying before in the past so...

the elite is a very good battle rez.
I think I will switch sig of devotion with Dwayna's kiss, should make for a better heal with extra healing from UA.

I wouldn't use targeted prots on a hero bar. They try to use them for the DF heal and don't pre-prot, thus wasting energy.
I'd suggest something like this:
[Unyielding aura][patient spirit][dwayna's kiss][mend condition][signet of rejuvenation][aegis][divine healing][heaven's delight]

Do you really need GoLE on that bar? Other than prot spririt, you have 5e spells and signets. If its for the prot spirit, heroes ususally don't use GoLE like they should.

It is just incase his signet don't get recharged from a morale boost and they all go down except his Mok hero.he can flag his monk here away then flag them close to party hero who has rebirth then use UA or on himself as well it takes away the dp.

If you need an elite res you are doing something wrong. And to make it worse you waste your monk's elite.... wow.
