Confused about sabway
Hi
Ive looked at sab's thread and i also looked at pvxwiki.com's page on sabway they both seem to conflict with what skills to put in the builds so can someone please clarify the offical sabway build (not bothered about 4man 8man etc). just want the 3 builds for them since this has confused me alot

There is no specific build, if you have three necromancer heroes, using minions to power their energy, you're running a variant of Sabway.

Thats the build there, although i prefer Animate Bone Horror over Minions, Wep Of Resto over Xinrae's and Extinguish over Foul Feat (basicly the way it was a month or 2 ago)
None of the things said about the builds appear to confilct apart from the note about Extinguish, you should run Extinguish in 8man and Foul Feast for 4Man.

the N/Rt mostly stays the same all the time. The MM you can make it a Jagged Bomber or a Discord MM with monk as secondary for [dwayna's sorrow]
for the curse hero, go with [defile defense] where there are lots of rangers and/or sins. if doing stuff in NF try [Cacophony]. Curse Necro are also great at spreading conditions and mass hex much needed for [discord].

I don't get why people call it "sabway", is it cause he's the one to take the already well-known hero combo and post it on the wiki? Too much credit for something which concept's been around since nightfall. Anyways...
There's only a few staple skills on each of the heroes' bars, the rest is up to your liking. Yeaaaaaaaaah, that means you'll have to drag and drop some skills in there yourself unfortunately, it's a shame we can't just copy/paste our way through Guild Wars! But to help you in your quest to do so, i'll help you out and show you the builds i enjoy using.
[spiteful spirit][reckless haste][enfeebling blood][barbs][mark of pain][cry of frustration][signet of lost souls][resurrection signet]
(If i'm playing a physical class, i'll switch out cry for splinter weapon)

I'll usually go with a monk hero, though.

Has Sab updated her build recently? It seems that a number of major skill updates have happened ever since the build was last updated.
For one, Discord has been buffed after the last update that I have seen from Sab. For two, Xinrae Weapon has also been buffed.
The pvxwiki version wasn't even submitted or maintained by Sab herself. Rumor has it she didn't care to submit it there anyway. As expected, other people took it upon themselves to maintain that build from then on.

Like Gift3d said, there's a few staples but there's plenty of skills that can be swapped out for others. This applies to every PvE build.
The more flexible a build is, the more likely it is to attact flames since there's always gonna be people that feel that their personal preferences are what everyone should use.

Hmm...
Runes:
All 3 have a superior vigor rune & a survivor insig on their chest giving them 545 health each (MM has 575 frm +30 mod)
Radiants and attunements on their legs and feet giving them 50 energy each (which i think is more than enough).
Used 1 minor curses/resto/death rune each on their helmets (giving them all 14 points in their primary skills)
Used 1 bloodstained insignia for the MM.

taking out [rip enchantment] for [mark of pain]
weapon: 20/20 curses wand and a 20/20 curses focus
[Healer; OAhjYghsoOWbMm0cyNMHnV1kL]
taking out [splinter weapon] for [weapon of warding]
Note: [weapon of remedy] seems to be used better by heros than [xinrae's weapon] just a thought...you could change it around.
Weapon: 20/20 resto wand and a 20/20 resto offhand focus
[MM bomber; OANDUslfSLVVBoBJgYCBE1DVVA]
Weapon: 40% HCT, 20% longer enchanting Death staff +30 health
Now theyre offically pimped out

I'd disagree with Xinrae's Weapon. I tried it instead of Weapon of Remedy and it practically never got used. It's a dead slot; I'd swap back to WoR.

^ If we all make a big fuss over how its never used by heroes then Anet might change the AI for it, thats how [[Dwayna's Sorrow] got changed. We tested it, posted on this forum about how it wasnt used, then that night it was changed.

You need to pump your channeling here for splinter to work properly, don't know if you have the attribut. points for this without compromising the other attribs

Thanks but since im melee myself i think id benefit more from mark of pain than a health sacrificing skill only to remove 1 enchantment.
Also i corrected my post using your skill bar but replacing rip with mark

I agree with the whole "Ther is no EXACT SABway" about 60% of the skills stay the same and the rest vary depending on the situation.
Olias is my MM and his N/? secondary and skills change alot, but is typically some form of prot or hex remover.
Masters is my Curses and he changes if I need nore Melee shut down or more caster shut down.
If Im going to face alot of AoE and need massive party heals I drop Livia for an LoD Monk
It's all in what you need.

Really? i had the impression that xinrae was just as good as WOR if not better, heroes might not use them well, but you can't go far wrong with either of them weapons elite and they seem to be the best and only option and i prefer xinrae to WOR

There is no exact <insert build for general PvE here> period, not just sabway. This is why many builds are optimized for a particular area. General PvE is much too varied for one team build so you can always optimize it to the area.

As a skill, yes it is FAR superior, but as people said before, heroes suck at using this skill (vanquished 1 area with this skill to try it out and i had to manually use it since Livia decided it sucks)
