3 Dervish Hero Builds - A Challenge
3 DERVISH HERO TEAM CHALLENGE
Seeing as we have the new Dervish hero on the way this evening I decided I'd put it to the community to design a 3 Dervish team build.
To clarify, the build must include 3 Dervish HEROES. The player can be any profession. You can obviously include your character if the team is designed around a specific player build (such as Rac's Paras and the Imbagon). The build must be able to survive hard mode (I know, the builds may differ between zones depending on variables, but try to come up with a central structure around which to work which can be altered with each zone and party size). Obviously, feel free to exploit secondaries. Try to build a team in which each individual character works well, but they work efficiently as a team. AKA: synergise!
Things to note:
1) Mysticism gains energy when an enchant end and so is pretty for good energy management if exploited correctly, so including a fair amount of enchantments might be beneficial. See: D/N Orders Dervish.
2) Scythes are very good for damage. Providing AoE damage (which can benefit from certain skills such as [[Splinter Weapon], etc). Although, due to the crappy melee AI they're not often used on heroes.
3) The Dervish has several ways to inflict conditions. Through attack skills ([[Wounding Strike], [[Crippling Victory]), through on strike enchantments ([[Grenth's Grasp], [[Ebon Dust Aura], [[Harrier's Grasp]), the removal of enchantments ([[Aura Of Thorns], [[Dust Cloak], [[Grenth's Fingers]), and enchantments that trigger when you're struck ([[Veil Of Thorns], [[Shield Of Force]).
4) The Dervish has many skills which remove enchantments. ([[Grenth's Aura], [[Rending Touch], [[Intimidating Aura]).
5) The Dervish has an array of signets which might be useful. ([[Signet of Mystic Speed], [[Signet Of Pious Light], [[Signet Of Pious Restraint]).
6) The Dervish can deal Holy Damage with a few skills, this damage is not affected by any additional elemental or physical armour bonuses. ([[Heart Of Holy Flame], [[Balthazar's Rage]).
7) They do have a certain level of party support, providing both single target and party healing. ([[Imbue Health], [[Mystic Healing], [[Dwayna's Touch].)
8) They have an array of stances providing speed, damage and attack speed bonuses. ([[Harrier's Haste], [[Pious Haste], [[Whirling Charge].)
oh yeah, and have fun! I look forward to seeing what you come up with.

This is what kill the dervish heroes and the warriors and the assassins... They will probably do ok in NM, although the loss of eternal aura isnt exactly compensated by wounding strike in PvE. In HM melee heroes are a more an annoyance than anything else.
Paragon heroes and Necro heroes still get most of the hero slots.

I use Dervish Heroes regularly. Even as a hero I find them to be a good platform for splinter-rage, and the best melee hero out of all 3.
I wouldn't want to use all 3 at once though...I'd just set them up with different builds for different areas.

Ok, why 2 support dervishes?
I'd rather make the second one just like the first and then have a human Rit toss around splinter/GDW. Have another human player be imbagon with 2 monks and then you cna be whatever. (Pref. Melee)

Because you wont always have ideal conditions,ie a Rit and Imbagon. I couldnt think of anything else to place in the build, sure you could have another WS derv, but imho that would be slightly overkill. You could maybe roll with a Pious Renewal Healer from GoE's Dervway build ( This:[Pious Renewal][Reversal of Fortune][Protective Spirit][Imbue Health][Shielding Hands][Reverse Hex][Aegis][Rebirth]With Mysticism @12+1+1 and Prot at 12,and maybe a different skill over Rebirth.)
Would have to test it out though :P

^Ive been thinking of a zeal prot dervish like this:
[build prof=D/Mo box Myst=12+1+1 Wind=9+1 Prot=10][Arcane Zeal][Mystic Healing][Vow Of piety][Shield Guardian][Protective Spirit][Reverse Hex][Aegis][Faithful Intervention][/build]
I'd use it in combination with another Orders dervish if another player was running the dual para, its not worth having 2 support dervishes if you're only going to have one damage dealer.

I can see where you're coming from, but I thought this up to be used in a melee orientated team;I guess I should've been clearer in my original post.

Not sure if there is much use for a 3 dervishes build. Typical 3-heroes build comprises losely of a tank, a damage dealer, and a healer. I suppose you can try to fit them into those roles but there are probably better alternatives, especially for the role of the healer.

^ of course there are. But thats not what this thread is about.
This thread is to see if we can come up with a half decent all dervish team. I'd rather people not come on and just say.. "whats the point?"
Variety is the spice of life.

Maybe you'd have better luck if you attempted to make a 6hero team based on having 3 dervishes. Then you can focus the other 3 heroes as heal/ support/ damage for the dervishes.
I just really don't see much use for dervishes. One scythe spammer, one d/p blindbot and a d/n orders necro would be the best I could try to come up with.
For me I will just stick with discord necros and leave the triple dervish to my d/a kurzick hfff running team.

[build=OgOj8spKrSXgQXeXgXzECElX7EA]
For the 3rd, the last skill is optional....didnt' know what to stick in there. I'm also thining [[pious renewal] for the elite might be a better choice. I tested these with my para in the Maguuma Jungle and they did okay. I'll test more tomorrow when I'm not tired.
For the first one, you could try:
[build=OgijIqpLrSnbQXXgibYMgXlXJXA]
I haven't tested this option yet, but thought of it after seeing some of the other posts Reaper's could be swapped for Wounding.

Richardt, I think your third dervish will spend more time protting than sweeping his scythe. I don't think that's a good use of order if only one hero is actively abusing it.
TBH with 3 dervish heroes, depending on you profession i'd go with
-N: you as order, 3 scythe
-D/A/W/P, eventually R too: you as melee, 2 other scythe, 1order
-Mo: 2 scythes 1 order, or Smiter and 3 scythes
-Rt: That's where I don't know. I'd go probably with a smiter/channeler, leaving the orders.
-Me/E: no idea
I'd abuse wounding strike, with VoS on one of the dervishes since your target will always have deep wounds.

The new VoS's +damage is triggered when it hits an enemy NOT suffering from a condition. Thankyou to those who actually attempted to create a build. I'd like to repeat what I've said a few times now:
This thread is NOT for people to come on and tell us how they wouldn't use Dervish heroes.

I've found that I get more for my money by using Power Drain and Leech Signet on my Wounding Strike Dervishes. Their damage is only limited by their energy and the frequency that they can spam Mystic/Chilling/WS.
DSlash Warrior,
WS Scythe
Prot Dervish/EDA Spear/Stunning Spear
Orders Dervish
I don't have problems with the Dervish melee AI but that may be because I force him to WS every few seconds to take down targets.

Let me just say that vow of piety on each dervish and one of the dervish/order build = fun heal !!!
Its like 3 random 40-50 hp heal each 1-2 seconds.
