No, you fail. Posting about pve skills in the hero build thread is just stupid. And calling people stupid for using avatars on heroes is just stupid.
When i use [[avatar of melandru] melonni and [[avatar of lyssa] kahmu. I always see them in their avatar form while in battle.

120 seconds recharge ftl. do you also advocate MS?
avatars were BAD when they were first introduced (excluding grenth in GvG, but that was just silly). eternal aura was added to make the skills worth using. I am aware that heroes cant use eternal aura, this also means that they shouldnt be using a skill that requires eternal aura to be useful.

Waiting for avatars to recharge isn't very productive...

The point was that since heroes can't use pve skills (so no eternal aura) then using avatars is useless.

It works greatly, I almost NEVER see my dervs in a battle without lyssa up, and it's great for spiking mob healers nukers etc.

[[Wounding Strike] says hi.
Anyway once you get over the mox hype, you should learn that melee heroes suck anyway.

I'm inclined to agree...Avatars are wonderful because of Eternal Aura, without that skill their mediocre at best. Now as for melee heroes...well they are a sure way to fail...but if you absolutely MUST use a melee hero I would go with a Wounding Strike build. Probably go with conjure flame/lightning/frost since that's a nice long lasting enchantment to fuel deep wound. I'd also recommend you keep the build very VERY simple because the hero AI is full of stupid.

I've seen some decent results with hammer heroes, they like to KD, and KD'd stuff doesn't run. And occasionally Jora did use her crushing blow right... So back breaker, earth shaker, maybe dev hammer or Dwarven Battle Stance.
Also I've had good experiences with Skull Crack on melee heroes when forced to use them in quests and missions. With skull crack and savage slash, sever, gash, and some support skills from tactics like watch yourself, shields up(before they were nerfed though...)koss did pretty well at suppressing casters and monks. Lately I've had Fleeting stability on M.O.X. with drunken, and desperation blow, with Grapple and skull crack, occasionally you have to micro fleeting or flag leash him in but he does know what he's doing, and he's less crazy on "shield" then on "sword".

@ OP
If your planing to use the build you post. I suggest you go with Dervish.
Order will help with there energy and the weapon spell will be better on a scythe.
As for Avatar, you will find better things. Wounding strike is TeH skill. no wonder this skill has be the backbone of GvG. It's pure pwnz.
Reaper's sweep is also a good skill (+ damage is good in HM)
Ebon Dust Aura is good to keep melee foes from pwning you squishy. But ebon will negate Order of Vamp.
Ppl under estimate Devish.

If you want to go with Dervish, you should really consider bringing Orders. Even if you have no adrenaline skills on your bar and you dont need DF, OOP or OOV would still help. Dervish benefits alot from such enchantments.
