Para heroes question
Never really played paragon, neither brought para heroes with me, so was just wandering how good para heroes really are, considered you can`t put "save yourselves" and "there`s nothing to fear" on them?

GAH! There's more to being a para then SY and TNtF!
I love my paragon heroes-Racthoh has a nice thread detailing how he pimped out his paragon heroes, and they're pretty sweet.
Personally I run an Incoming build on my Hayda:
Blazing Spear
Spear of Redemption
Disrupting Throw
Incoming
Anthem of Weariness (or Flame if I have enfeebling blood floating around)
Go For the Eyes
Aggressive Refrain
Signet of Return
I have 8+1+1 in Command (for 4s of Incoming), 11+1 Leadership and rest in Spear with a minor rune. This build has served me very very very well in all sorts of vanquishes across Tyria and HM dungeons in EotN.

Well as a start choose your playstyle. If you play more defensively then take an SoR and an SoP paragon for lots of defense/healing.
If your style is more aggressive take something like Racthoh's paragons, as found here:

Overall i like to take one Commandagon and one Motigon, as this is good synergy in a physical team ( Command + Orders = big damage )
Good luck.

Using head +1 bonus on lowest att is waste.
9+1 / 10+1+1 saves you att points

Lets do some math real quick-you might be right and I can optimize this build a bit more.
Lets look at my current setup. With Command at 8 you'd still have spear at 12 and leadership at 11, so with runes you're still at 13/12. With that spread I have 6 leftover points.
In order for me to set Command at say 9 to move it off the headpiece, I'd have to lower either Spear or Leadership to 10. Now to keep the 21s breakpoint for AR I'd want to have Leadership at 11+1. So if I set Spear to 10, then it would be 10+1+1, which is 1 lower than the previous spec with 14 points left over, which can be used to raise Command to 10+1, leaving 1 point leftover. With this spec. all I'm really gaining is slightly lower DPS, +3% increased crits from GftE and 1s on Athem of Weariness. Both Spear attacks (ignoring Disrupting Throw) would only be losing 1 damage from 13 to 12 (I'd still have 3s of burning with Blazing).
So now it's a choice-do we go with the slight extra DPS or the increased crit rate/weakness duration? I went with the more DPS obviously, but the other route isn't bad-you'd only be losing maybe 5 points or so off of it.

I am confused
Your original spec is:
8+1+1
11+1
11+1
8/11/12 does not seem to be workable with 200 att points.
- correct?

Yeah I was looking at this last night-I did mess up in my original specs. It was 11/11/8 with 9 left over.
So the 2nd paragraph with the new specs (10+1+1 spear, 10+1 command, 11+1 leadership) is a more effiecient setup. It would have the same base Spear DPS with a little extra benefits for GftE and the Anthem.
I made that build when I was still new to para'ing and never thought to try to optimize my points.
