a friend who used to be in my alliance is the one who created it.
He got his legendary vanquisher title using that one.
I don't know if it's the best, but it definetly works.

Stock setup works just fine.
You can help the discord spammers along if you take some AoE hex and condition spells. Shadow of Fear, Weaken armour, Enfeebling blood, technobabble are all good.
The one and only place I have found I couldn't vanquish with this setup was the 4 man Eastern Frontier. The Grawl healers required I took a mesmer to take em down.

To be honest im not sure if your friend can "make" discordway, all it requires is for 3 heroes to take discord and for hexes/conditions to be supplied somewhere. Pretty much as soon as Discord was buffed people were experimenting with it, and it was about a day before the suggestion to use 3 discord spammers was posted on this forum. Every skill other than discord is optional, ritualist healing spells are used as they're solid at 10 spec and so dont impede the investment in death magic.
Tailor the build to your tastes, if you play a healer, take less healing and more offense. If you're a physical, slip splinter weapon in there. Its up to you basically.

lol or so he says.. i could say that for myself been using it before i ever read it on these forums.
instead of 3 i use 1 cos i like curses en necro/resto (splinterweapon) and they are specially runed with superior
i have no opinions on discord it helps i only put it there cos my livia happened to be on 16 death magic and is a mm duh so i figured
discord
animate bone minions(yes only one cos u only need one)
death nova
putridbile (consider this mini death nova)
rest optional skills monk resto rit whatever

I am using this now for my chars. My bar setup is Assassins promise followed by YMLAD and then Finish him. The rest of my char's skillbar is based on the main profession. This is by far the best setup I have been able to use. Call ur target, use sin's promise then immediatly YMLAD then finnish him when prepared. Rinse and repeat.

Yeah, me too.
And discord is good, but in my own experience I found Sabway works better.

That wiki version is.... alright. the thing about discord is that its so flexable you can do whatever you want. I pretty much end up with a different build for every area i go to. dipping into at least 3 attribute lines is a good idea though, no reason for 2 restos.

Considering Discord covers your damage needs, the rest of your heroes bar's is quite flexible. I'd throw in a few more defensive than the wiki one has - namely Enfeebling Blood, unless you want to rely solely on minions which can be risky at times. You'll also want decent hex and condition coverage to meet the requirements for Discord. Some skills to consider would be Rotting Flesh, Suffering, Malign Intervention and Vereta's Gaze.

Discord is fun. I too joined the 3 necro discord army and my Derv char helps with Asuran scan and wounding strike and when I blink the lvl 20 enemies die. With my Rit I throw parasitic bond and weaken armor and enemies go down quick. As long as you call the target and meet the condition and the hex the heros are smart enough to cast it.
Only time I change up my team is when I'm in a hex heavy area, I'll bring Talhkora who's set up as a protection monk or good ol' Gwen who can shutdown casters fast.

I just put discord on my sabways build, replaced a few certain skills, did a few mods to the attributes so death magic went up to 13/14 at least, and there...I had 3 discord heroes
the builds are very flexible so I use the builds I originally put on my necros as a base and then modify it depending on if I need certain things for certain areas.

^ is what I've been running in HM.
Mesmer hero has plenty energy management and dont need to say about the necros, I find bringing an interrupter along helps massively, especially versus annoying casters, and she brings extra conditions and some enchantment removal. I use a mesmer over one of the N/Rts because she makes a sturdy support character at the cost of ~15 damage. Go figure.(I only use 14 Death on the Necros.Wtbmoarhelfplox)

Get used to how discord teams work with the pvx one, then change it to get the full potential of death/curse necros.

The pvx one is far from the best setup you can use (bad attribute splits and rotting flesh 3seccasting wastes time), although it works. There are numberous variants posted all over this forum.
If you want a good backup hex+condition malign intervention and enfeebling blood are good options. you can also run veratas gaze on a discorder who has no minion spells to increase your army.

I hope people post their own optemized variants of discordway. I am currently trying to make my own 6 man version. Except I want to rely on an ap character for the conditions and hex requirements. Anything else would be added as extra. For example, barbs hex and malign intervention for a free minion and damage from vanguard sin support.
I figure it'll help speed up kills to only focus on discord/ 1-2 hexes or like enfeebling blood for defense. The more utility spells the better. As long as it doesn't distract them from their discord spam.
