I just going to pop in and confirm what everyone knows, stacking Necros and Rits is pretty win. Went with SoS Rit/SoGM Rit/Curser+Blood Nec/MB Nec/Healing Burst Monk/2xSmiters+Prots Monks on my Warrior and rolled everything.

Pros
A lot of "passive" AoE healing due to Healing Burst, Dwayna's Sorrow, Blood Bond and three instances of Heaven's Delight. The sustainability of the setup is phenomenal.

Tons of absorption due to having up to twenty-ish spirits and minions at one time.

Lots of sustained damage, both AoE and single target.

Lots of debuffs and pretty good condition/hex removal.

Cons
Somewhat weak versus spikes, especially AoE spikes due to rather subpar prots and few spike heals.

Some ramp-up time, damage wise.

Not good at spiking, unless you can get a decent ball and MoP the mobs.

Considering dropping a Smiter+Prot monk for an ER ele and switching the Healing Burst monk for a Dwayna's derv. Thoughts?

Triple Discord, Panic, Ineptitude, SoS, Soul twisting, and whatever I want on my elly (currently running Ether Renewal, but thats overkill with all the necro and rit healing + prots):

Yea just did the easiest ever vanq, in an area that I was finding the most difficult before this update (Garden of Sebhorin with loads of roaring ethers).

I only needed to prot against the ethers, everything else I didnt need to do anything but run around and it all died fast and easy.

I like difficult and challenging games, but after 5 years of GW you get fed up and al I want to do is finish filling my HoM.

I didn't VQ yet because my main is doing survivor boxing now and I'm scared.. but I will roll with myself as Inep or cop caller, SoS, Sogm, 3x discord, Panic, and an SH. SH probably will be a stupid idea, in which case I'll switch it for a physical or a second mesmer.

May I ask why a para bar?
I mean a Curses Nec would be more useful.

I was actually meaning to switch the panic for a Me/N PI with MoP+barbs, but I haven't gotten around to testing it. Basically decided I needed another physical for the orders.

Second Barrage guy or Punishing Shot? I'm not convinced the Para stuff is worth an actual hero since most of it can go in on a /P secondary. Then again, I'm not sure a Ranger is any better.
If the ranger spirits were actually usable I'd say take Winnowing and maybe even Favourable Winds, but the cast times and recharges suck so much. I suppose a ranger with a pet might work out.

Well, I'm currently using a cruel spear motigon with finale, but the bar is just really ugly. I'm not really sure if it's an effective bar or not. Guess I'll try another barrage paragon for lulzy envy spam. I'm hesitant to use a pet because of the awful ai.

The scattering from Chaos Storm is minimal, especially if it's your only DoT skill.
You have more to worry about from Splinter.

Thanks for the input guys, but I've pretty much stopped caring what I run in general pve. I can grab 7 random caster heroes and faceroll through most of the game. What I'm working on now are builds to get me through the four areas of DoA in HM without cons(individual builds for each area) and eventually one to get me through a FR. I've started with foundry as I expect it to be the most difficult and have done well in preliminary testing. Builds are here:http://www.gwpvx.com/User:Life_Guardian/7hero_DoA. The build I'm running is a A/W dagspam with sy, ascan, and iau. It's extremely forgiving of mistakes atm and im hoping to refine it a bit to have increased offense. Being a melee char is very restrictive unfortunately. Any input or personal experiences would be appreciated.

Mass AoE block/blind is always nice when those Earth Tormentors start slashing your frontline (ie you) to pieces. Wouldn't have more than one mesmer in any team; Panic works well by itself.

Only working on foundry atm, where there are no tormentors. I actually wish i could have a third mesmer so i could run an esurge as well :<. Ill have to do some testing on how many more nukes get cast when i only run panic. The thing about doa is that it doesnt take large groups to completely own you. The group of 4 rages in room 3 is more than enough to wipe your party if you dont agro properly. Smaller groups limit the effectiveness of Panic, but not of PI.

Also, the MB has become more of a nuisance than a help. I need to find a bar that can hold the prots and still be useful, but for the life of me i cant come up with a good enough nec, ele, or monk build :<. Necro has no good elites(i have way too much shutdown for ss to be useful). Ele has savannah, sandstorm, and unsteady, none of which are that appealing. Perhaps an ER prot and drop some of the defense off of other heroes...? I'm not really sure what to go with at this point.
