7h Elite Areas - But which profession?
Hi all
Im having a bit of a problem here... I got my gwamm, LDoA and 50/50 hom - so im mostly just cracking around doing nothing when im online, but i recently decided to give all the Elite Areas a shot using only heroes (SF (lol i know), FoW, UW, DoA, Urgoz and Deep)
I just cant decide which profession to play during my little 'project' here - every time i give a caster a shot, i end up getting all frustrated and feeling inadequet - maybe its because i got my gwamm on my warrior, so im used to steamroll everything using 100b/mop/splinter (and 60al is just a biaatch)
But then why not just play on your warrior you might ask - but after ALOT of hours im feeling fed up...
What should i do?
-Just bite the bullet and play on my warrior?
-Pick a caster class and get the best out of it?
-Go Meta; SY!, Emo Bonder, ST Rt, Perma?
I got something to complain about with all the professions, so please dont tell me to just pick whatever i feel - that will cause my brain to get an err7
My newest profession is my 2nd monk (LDoA) - but i often end up watching heroes trying to kill stuff which is both boring and annoying. Smiting isnt really effective enough for my taste and heroes tend to heal alot quicker that i do So im currently trying to mix some prot skills with PI, Necrosis and Seed of Life for dmg (so i dont have to just wait...) and because SoL is just pure <3

You might want to try Ranger..you can kill crap with your bow, but if you feel like it you can play semi warrior by going /A with Escape daggers....Just an Idea. Rangers also can do FoW and UWSC if you're interested in it. (and doa frostway/EoE in UrgozSC)

Monk is bottom of the barrel for leading 7h around, unless you're willing to mix up some AP spikes with a few prots. Necros, rits, mesmers aren't near as gimped, so give one of those a go. The only place your personal build can really become an issue is UW with some of those splitting quests.

I have found doing the elite areas on my rit with 7 heros to be the "easiest"!?!. DoA & UW, fow, & deep done in NM without cons using heros, I have slowly be taking my other toons around Doa - so far rit, monk, para, ranger & necro all done DoA using heros (eoe on one of the heros really helps in foundry and gloom).
For UW dealing with the quests were you need to split, such as the 4H I was able to delay one side with spirits while heros dealt with the other side, then unflag heros so they came to my aid and we slugged it out around the reaper.

Any profession that's not a Monk nor Ranger should be ok and to be honest, those two shouldn't have much of a problem anyway. Things might get really boring on a Paragon or Ritualist though.

Eh at least you get to make the spirit wall just like you want without a billion flags, that's one plus! Paragon though, yeah. I guess you could play different builds though, you probably don't NEED SY! so you could get another secondary and change the playstyle.

Heck, you don't need spirit walls, minion walls, or SY to finish any of those areas. Anything you want will work as long as you can play well and make a good team.

Dervs are refreshing to play if you've used warrior for a long time. Using VoS, pious renewal or onslaught makes warrior look boring sometimes. Gives you a break off using Warrior but you still get all the warrior fun and goodness.
