Sry, but I'm still not feeling the AP build. As a necro, I figure I'd rather take a pet, spam more damage with Necrosis, apply deep wound every 5 sec with Enraged Lunge, and still have 2 pve skill slots left. I'm loving this build I ended up with:

I used something similar once upon a time. Ultimately, it's your call. Have fun with it. The rest of the build is looking much better.

Alright I finally have a 7 Hero Build that I can always use.
Me - Spiritspammer (PvXWiki Build Variant) [E/Rt - Remaining Points in ES]
MoW - Sabway Healer (PvXWiki Build)
Livia - Sabway Curses (PvXWiki Build)
Olias - Sabway MM (PvXWiki Build)
Ogden - HB Monk (Build from this part of the forums)
Norgu - Mesway Panic (PvXWiki Build)
Gwen - Mesway Ineptitude (PvXWiki Build)
Razah - Spiritway SoGM (PvXWiki Build)

It gets me through most things though the team has trouble in Elementalist heavy areas like the Burning Forest in Sacnnoth Valley. Anyone who says the game is too easy now, I challenge you to go through there without dying once. Then we'll see if 7 Heroes is too much. But thanks anyway for the improvement Anet. Don't take it away. Make sure Winds of Change is good. Maybe another type of weapon which can be dedicated in HoM? All the other campaigns have them.

Anet needs to really fix the Elementalist Profession. While Enemies do over 100 DPS with Firestorm, we can see why the Elementalist is a huge damage dealer. Yet when it comes to us Humans/Heroes/Henchies we do measly damage, 30 is the usual DPS for us. Unless we use SH team spam. 7 SH Ele Heroes anyone? Spamtastic.

Someone should try SHWay. I can't cos I only payed for the games like most people, so I don't have Mercs.

I really love this 7 hero update, gives me so much opportunity to get useful teams. I finally could VQ Grothmar Wardowns on my own! But I'm still a bit fighting with the right hero set up. Usually I take 2 Spiritspam rits, 2 mesmers, minion bomber and a necro/rit healer. I just can't get out what I should put in the last one.



So can anyone give me any advice what to put in the last heroslot? Anyway, the necro-icon before it doesn't mean anything. It was just that I selected something. So what should be there? Another necro? Don't think SS will work together with Panic. ER Ele? UA Monk? Etc? ^^

I would say that you should have a Curses Necro with enchant removal and Splinter Weapon, Spiteful Spirit isn't too bad actually as any enemy melee that rush ahead won't be in range of Panic. Reaper's Mark also works well with your build as it provides a long term degen and almost always guarantees an energy gain. Icy Veins is also useful as the enemy's death triggers more damage. On Orders Necro could also fit the job buffing minion damage. Anything that deals damage or provides damage support would be fine, so a SF Nuker Elementalist could find a role. An Earthshaker Warrior would combine very well with the RoJ as the Enemies can't scatter. You could replace one of the other heroes with the Warrior and put in a Nuker or a Barrage ranger for good affect. The AoE skills like Panic benefit from enemies being unable to scatter so if you want to just add one more hero then go with the Earth Shaker Warrior. If you want to go all casters though then go for the Nuker.

Considered that your Rits are already in use, i'd trow in a ER protter. This would also free slots/points on MM bar, wich can be invested as you prefer(heals as /Rit, Shouts as /P, some support using blood skills or still cover prots as /Mo).
ER+Resto Necro+random heals on Rits should be able to keep everyone alive w/o problems. You could consider to swap the Resto Necro(that has as always a "meh" elite) with a UA healer(most powerful res in the game), but is just matter of personal preference imo. I generally use a different build on communing offesnsive Rits also. Another option can be also to add a meele hero(Derv or Earthshaker war are best options) and put splinter on channel Rit.

This is what im using atm.

Involves a small fragspike, which you can micro or macro .

Frag + YMLAD + Virulence + Epidemic = 1sec mass condition spreading.

The rest is standard spirits and mesway

Seems that you're using pawned, so you should see somewhere (do not remember in which menu...) a "make screenshot of team build" button. You shoud have then a image of all the builds of your team toghether, that you can then upload.

(note i don't use discord way and as you will see, master of whispers serves several rolls, by the way, he spams the hell out of SS, and olias is splinter necro, and he spams the hell out of that)

That's what I have refined my general HM heroes build down to; playing the DS war obviously. Not sure if nuking is really all the great (even with deep freeze and churning) or whether the ER prot hero is all it's cracked up to be...but it seems to work well enough with a nice mix of DoT AoE, single target damage and defense.

Dunno though, played more PvE in the last few week than in the last 4 years

Since my main is a Rit I play the SoS with Boon of Creation too, I even bring in Spirit's Gift sometimes for mass condition removal. It's honestly up to you, but I guess most people chose not to bring them because they are enchantments and you need to pre-buff them.

I've been testing some team builds that people have posted here, mixing up some things. This is what I'm running right now.

1 SoS Rit (Me)
1 SoGM rit hero
3 Necro heroes standard Sabway
1 Panic mesmer hero
1 Ineptitude mesmer hero
1 Soldiers Fury para hero

In most areas I was testing I was killing mobs really quickly and there was never any serious damage to me. I'm satisfied with the mesmers and I don't see that much a difference between Sabway and Discordway, just using Discord mainly for when I have trouble killing bosses.

I wasn't really happy with my VQ of Sacnoth Valley though. I was nearly wiped near the burning forest/Kathandrax, the fire AoE was killing my party pretty quickly.

Any comments on what I could change for that? Or is that generally always how the burning forest is?

EDIT: Obviously the mesmers are supposed to interrupt the casters, but when they fail with that it seems I become really vulnerable. Maybe remove the paragon or 2nd rit and swap for a prot monk?

Burning forest is always the hardest part of Sacnot valley. 3xSearing flames+ Savanna heat+ random aoe fire damage isn't good for your red bars. :P

Options are: 1)insane amount of rupts 2)insane amount of prot+heals/cond removal(and pain inverter) 3)insane amount of damage(kill them before they can kill u).

I'd use the first two tough.

I was thinking about making the second mesmer use a Tease build then, since the curses AoE seems to quickly take down groups of enemies anyway. I think I can do without the blindness and just switch between the two depending on the situation :P

I always flag, and usually have my spirits spread out tanking in such situation with the heroes behind, but the fire AoE was eating everything, I guess I might have overaggroed too.

I tried it with SogM but razah just keeps on running out of energy complet;y because things die to fast en we move to another group before he catched his breath. And energy pool.
I now use soul twisting which pretty much makes him keep up with the rest of us.

In Sacnoth, make sure you have Prot Spirit. Prot yourself and pull the mobs. They will burn Savannah Heat. Run straight back into your heroes so the enemies ball up. Use Panic and spike em down. Rinse, repeat. Watch out for Borgis's Patrol.

I don't recommend switching to soul twisting if you're just using offensive spirits because heroes don't use it well. Did you give him either a staff that adds 15 energy or a one-hander with +5 energy inscription and a focus? Also, what I do is push Spawning Power up to 14 and have Communing at 13 instead of the other way around; that way, he gets 6 energy each time from Boon of Creation. He should have no energy problems.

Hey KIDGOOCH I actually run this now instead of that old discord setup, try it It's not as much damage, but the party's survivability is much better (and you'll need it for the more difficult areas). There are also some improvements I've made since that build, such as moving rezzes away from healers, putting in better skills, etc.
