Default SF pew-pew advice!

Hey all, I've been running this on my sin for lols and its been working out pretty well. It plays pretty simply with little to no micro- DC into mob, watch mob die. repeat.

I originally used an Aotl mm, but if the Ua necro went down i found that the rest of my team was doomed to follow. Bringing Dual UA stopped this and means that it pretty much never wipes(well duh). I simply found the added anti-wiping powers of ua stronger than that of Aotl.

What id like some advice on however is the last slot. I've currently just put an SoS rit in there as it deals decent damage, and fills in for the lack of heals elsewhere. However it doesnt really gel with the high damage aspect of the rest of the team, im wondering if an IV necro with splinter/resto or a channeling rit would be better, any suggestions?

P.S

A few things:

I like lots of copies of prot spirit, im used to running a ST rit and like having that layer of protection.

Despite the way it looks, it does actually have adequate healing as the overboard on prot seems to make up for it. The prot/healing balance seems to be in a pretty good place(atleast for the way i play it). In longer fights(like "When kappa attack! HM") i could see more healing being needed, but for general spikey spikey gameplay it seeems to work allright.

I'm pretty happy with the 4 ele "back-bone". I understand that hybriding it up would probably make it more effective, but then i might as just go to pvx. I've thought about changing the 4th ele to water, but the lack of decent non-elites makes it look a bit meh. Also looked at swapping it out for a panic mes but it didn't make much difference. Unless changing an ele out to something else makes a massive difference, i don't really see a massive benefit in doing so.

Too much of the same prot, spread it out over different characters

I'd say drop the 4th SF Ele and bring the IV Resto instead

Meh, I'm not gonna tell you to remove eles or anything because you're having fun and that seems to be what matters to you. That said I'd refine my backline a bit.

UA+Heal
AoTL MM with prot
SoS/resto

Or
UA+Heal
ER/Prot or ST/Prot
AoTL MM
Should work pretty well.

I'd say lose the 4th SF for an FD mesmer, change the first UA for an IV with Prot, change the second UA for a Necro Resto with curses (PoD, enfeebling, weaken armor). Finally change Ghostmirror light for PwK on the SoS resto. Might be a lot more to change. Don't think you need three copies of FB! at that spec really (you can push it up to 9 command, the breakpoint for FB is 9, the breakpoint for energy return on GG is 9+1), so more optionals for the third SF.

Also I'm not too keen on Glyph of Immolation, but maybe it means stuff starts taking damage sooner, at the beginning when everthing's already balled. At any rate, I think you could drop it on all but one (and maybe take Mark of Rodgort on one of the others?).

Glyph was just a bar filler i guess, especially since its only single target. I'm wary of putting other damage skills/mor in its place though, as SF is notorousily energy hungry.

I agree that splitting the back-line into separate prot and heals is gonna be the way to go, just need to find a composition that works for me i guess. I like having splinter in there and at-least a copy of ua, so a n/rt channel/heal and a n/mo prot would be good, with maybe a MM/prot

Thanks for all your input btw guys, muchly appreciated!
