Need Prop-EotN Heroes skills Build.
Hi all.
I recibed the GW prophecies and Eye of the North pack a few weeks ago, and I really am enjoying it (even if I started to play only to get HoM rewards in Gw2) but, I recently noticed one sad fact: My heroes sucks big time.
I started to read in this and other forums that almost all goob builds need to use skills from Nightfall and Factions. I also read that henchmens are much better than the default heroes (at least, on EotN). But the EotN henchmens are not going to come to the prophecies maps with me, and I'm not able to buy any other expansion for the next 1-2 months.
So, I started to look for builds for my heroes trying to replace Factions and Nightfall skills with something else from Prophecies and EotN, but since I'm a totally noob, I cant say if that skill is worth or not. But notice that also, I have to learn that skill first with my character (and I have not so much money/skills slots to start the try-error game)
So finally, I totally surrender before I became mad.
Please, can someone post me a decent build for my heroes? Just EotN / Prophetcies skills, please. I don't need the best build... just some decent build to be able to make (or at least, have a chance to make) quests and hard modes... or even try to farm something.
Thanks a lot.
p.d
My character is a elementalist, and I have al the EotN heroes except Anton.

For your Elementalist I would just use the Elemental Attunement elite with some fire magic skills like Fireball, Incendiary Bonds, Bed of Coals, Rodgort's Invocation and Flare. Of course, you could also use Earth or Air magic with that same elite but Fire has more damage-per-second, in my opinion. But, if you're facing enemies who are resistant to fire damage, then use Water Trident (Elite), Rust, Ice Spikes, Glowing Ice, and Deep Freeze.
For your Necromancer: Enfeebling Blood, Weaken Armor, Animate Bone Minions or Bone Horror (or both), Death Nova, Aura of the Lich (Elite) and whatever else you feel like using.
For your Mesmer: Cry of Frustration, Power Drain, Leech Signet, Energy Surge (Elite), Empathy, Shatter Enchantment, Drain Enchantment. Also unlock the elite skill Panic when you have the chance, you may need it later on.
For your Monk, just focus on cheap and reliable skills such as Divine Healing, Remove Hex, Cure Hex, Spotless Mind, Spotless Soul, Dwayna's Kiss, Word of Healing.
Now, for your Elementalist hero, I recommend you give him some Protection Prayers like Aegis, Mend Condition, Protective Spirit, Shielding Hands, Reversal of Fortune, and then some energy management skills like Aura of Restoration and Ether Renewal, while maintaining Life Attunement or Vital Blessing on that hero (so he gets more energy from Ether Renewal).
The rest of your party can be filled with henchmen and you should be ok.

Thank you a lot, Sir. My party success rate has improved to the roof XDD.
I don't have all those skills yet, but the improvement is substantial.
Just one question. When you talk about the elementalist hero... those skills are monk skills, aren't they? Is it worth? I mean, I still lack some dps, and my elementalist may be my best prepared hero (since I already have unlocked most skills for my own character).
Anyway, really, thanks a lot for sharing your wisdom.

A lot of players like Ether Renewal heroes. They can spam spammy skills and skills with chunky energy costs. Make sure you flag them back if there's a lot of enchantment removal and macro them to prot you or whatever in time of need (like when you aggro).
I think you should just buy the other games/expansions. It's worth it.

Generally it's good to have 2 healers of some kind for a party of 6 or 8 and you only have 1 Monk hero so that's why I suggested that you use your Ele as your second healer. But, if you're having an easy time so far, then it may be better for you to get one of the healer henchmen and then use your Ele hero for more damage. You can change your Ele hero to Protection Prayers when you get to the harder stuff.
I'm glad things have worked out for you. Enjoy GW

So, ether renewal aside, there is no a special reason to choose the elementalist as second healer, isn't it?
If that scenario, I may prefer to use Xandra or Hayda (ritualist and parangon) since their core skill are locked for me, and there is no way that I can improve them. May be usin Hayda as Parangon /monk (second healer) and Xandra as Ritualist/Nigromant (second nigro) Spawning power seems to improve the minions too.
Not sure what to do with Jora and Anton (finally got him). Also noticed about Kahmu (dervish).
p.d.
As I said earlier, I'll probably buy the other expansions in the future, because I'm enjoying the game, BUT that is not going to happen in the next 2 months or so. "Buy the expansions" is not the advice that I need atm, but thanks anyway.

You should only need one hero with minion skills, since you're going to have a limited amount of corpses. But, you're right, it's probably a good idea to use your Ritualist for your Death Magic skills and then you can use your Necromancer for those Protection Prayers skills. This way, whenever an enemy or even a minion dies, your Necromancer healer will gain energy and will be able to cast more Protection spells.
But, if you want to give some other build to your Necromancer, then I suggest you give the Protection Prayers build to your Dervish (or even your Assassin) because he has +4 energy regeneration, which is better than a Paragon, who has only +2 energy regeneration.
I wouldn't use heroes nor henchmen that have to go in melee range because their A.I. isn't very good at this. They'll spend most of their time just running around and getting body-blocked. Most people would advise you to use henchmen that can attack from a distance instead.
