Current build wiki is found at gwpvx.com. Wikia wiki's, like the one you linked, should be avoided. They're outdated (both in terms of builds and skill descriptions), contain broken code, may contain vandalism, etc.

Hey for self armor you listed runes, but what would you recommend for insignias.
15 Restoration Magic (+2 Rune head)
11 Spawning Power (+1 Rune)
10 Channeling Magic (+2 Rune)
what would i put as two remaining runes aswell

Obviously I can't speak for Zephyr, but:
-Rule of thumb for insignia is to take something that gives an effectively permanent +10 armor. If you're throwing spirits in, Shaman's works well. If you can permanently enchant yourself, Blessed works well. Etc. Survivor's works regardless of the build but is rarely optimal.
-As far as runes go, the attribute ones are the most important. Vigor is handy, though I wouldn't bother buying anything more than a minor. The last one is inconsequential.

Sorry for the late response on this subject.
Marty however is spot on regarding the runes, Highest armor insignia you can get (while being able to meet its conditions), highest type of Vigor rune, and ofcourse some minor runes (not required, but it never hurts), think of : +1 Inspiration/Fast Casting.
And with the left-over rune slot as Marty said is inconsequential, though its good to keep in mind that +energy favors any profession.

So I have been vanquishing like crazy last 3 days. I've done 23 vanquishes in Elona. No wipes at all! They annihilated everything! Zeph, I love this set-up, amazing job on figuring all this out.
Fyi, I use the merc set-up. 1 N/Rt IV, 1 Rt/Me ST, 1 Me/N Inept, 1 Me/Rt Inept, 2 Me/Rt E-Surge and 1 Me/Rt Panic. All heroes use the staves set-up as suggested by you, with one small adjustment: They all have a +1 Attribute/20% staff wrapping. They are fully runed as well. I play as UA monk myself, with Ebon Battle Standard Of Wisdom of course .

So I was reading through the first post at the different teams and was wondering, Which is more ideal Z-Way or the Dps/Healer Player Team? I will probably run it on multiple characters including healers and non healers. I was also wondering which would be good for the 6 man areas if either.

Hey there, thanks for trying out my team build.
Regarding which setup too take boils down on what you are running.
If you are a (good) healer, then just the IV Resto and ST would be plenty too suit you're needs of protection/healing while keeping up good dps / crowd-control ratio.
However if you are the type of healer that wont have enough with just the ST and IV Resto, then adding an additional healer (the E/Mo) will suit all you're healing needs.
That way, you'll be in a 4/4 ratio as in DPS/Heals.
Non-healer player charracters will value the additional healer/protector in the form of the E/Mo, the E/Mo in synergy with the IV Resto and ST will provide almost all the protection and healing you party will need throughout your gameplay experience.
Which in turn allows the player to play any role he desires, though its good too keep in mind that you'll have too try to adapt your build so that it supports the role of you're team (May it be adding physical damage, ''save yourselfs'', more crowd control, more non scatter AoE damage, Signet of Spirits, Practiced Stance + Choking Gas... you name it)

Knowing the situation described above of what You can provide, and the discription of the team composition, you'll basicly ''thin down'' on what you already may have.
All you have too look for is keeping the Heal/Dmg ratio at around 20/80% for 6 man party's, and 30/70% for 8 man party's.
In this case, it will be 20/80%.
So if you are the healer - then a ST could fulfill already you're protection needs, while being 2/6 at this point.
You can consider balancing out the Illusion and Domination mesmers, by lets say taking Two of each. (2x inep, 2x esurge OR 2x inep, 1x esurge, 1x panic)
If just the ST wont cut it for you whilst playing healer, you could grab the IV Resto along being 3/3 at this point.
This leaves a spot open for an Ineptitude, Esurge, and Panic which fairly balances out the party.
This applies the same for being a damaging class.
Being a DPS player, you could grab just the ST + IV Resto, being 3/3 at this point, leaving 3 spots open for the (1x or 2x) inept, Esurge, and Panic.
If you lack mercenaries, then one E/Me will substitude for a Esurge mesmer (Not a panic, or ineptitude mesmer).
_
Though on a fair note, depending on what area you'll be in you will quickly come too realise that when facing much more melee then casters, two ineptitude mesmers will be ideal, while vice versa that Esurge is the better choice.
So you'll have too figure that out a little on yourself, but all in all its nothing impossible or something you can't deal with.
I hope these answers have answered the concerns you had on this subject.
If it wasen't clear enough then i'd gladly try to rephrase it. (my english isen't great, I know!)
Cheers,
Zephyr.

Noob question: Aren't mercenaries just custom-skin heroes? Why would they have a distinct build?

Not sure if you're referring to a specific statement or not, but one of the key aspects of mercenary heroes is that they allow you to exceed the maximum number of professions otherwise available to you. If you want to run a mesmerway without mercenary heroes you're limited to Gwen, Norgu and Razah as mesmer primaries, meaning any subsequent mesmer bars must be adapted to run on necro's or ele's. People with mercenary heroes can just run as many mesmer primary heroes as they want.

As Marty explained that since there are only 3 Core mesmers in the standard game there would still be a 2 hero gap too fill that up.
Since elementists have taken that spot, they are bound too run Domination Magic since Illusion Magic doesn't do enough damage at 12 Illusion. (Same as for 16 Domination being better then 12)
Buildwise the Merc Domination mesmer have no Wastrel's or any rather spamable/low recharge damage skills because their Inspiration Magic energy management wont be able too keep up.
Hence why the elementists run Wastrel's + Energy heavy optionals, because their energy management allows it without breaking a sweat.
Damage wise the Domination Mercs are slightly better then the Elementists, simply because of the 4 point diffrence in Domination, and having an Elite that does great damage (But not so great when it would be just 12 Domination, like the elementists).
But the elementists are able too close the damage gap between Merc Dominations fairly close by providing heavy AoE (spammable) that would make normal mesmers run dry (of energy) in a matter of seconds.

Currently planning to try this out if I can.
I'm not familiar at all with healing builds for players though. What's a healing template for a Ritualist?
Also, what about using something like SoS Rt player with this?

Ritualist
15 Restoration Magic (+2 Rune head)
11 Spawning Power (+1 Rune)
10 Channeling Magic (+2 Rune)
(40/40 Resto Set, or 10/10 wand + 20/20 offhand)
Template code : OACjEyiIpOAAm5wcyJNBAAAAAA
Optional skills : (Elite) Signet of Spirits, (Elite) Xinrae's Weapon, (Elite) Spirit Light Weapon, (Elite) Echo, (Elite) Expel Hexes, (Elite) Emphatic Removal, (Elite) Unyielding Aura, Vengeful Weapon, Spirit Transfer, Soothing Memories,, Recupperation, Recovery, Weapon of Warding, Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom, ''By Urals Hammer!'', Air of Superiority, Pain Inverter, Summon Ruby Djinn, ''I Am Unstoppable!''
___
As you see there are plenty of optionals too take for the Ritualist.
You could choose to go pure healing, pure damage, or a hybrid inbetween.
What this means for the rest of the Team is that if you run Healing, and with some practice you may even not need the E/Mo at all.
However running pure Channeling Rit (SoS) will let you soon enough know that you just may need the E/Mo to deal with excessive damage taken.
No matter what playstyle you choose, try too be the tank for you're party.
It simply means being the first too take (and hold) aggro, act as a sponge and eat PBAoE damage (Fire Storm, and all related skills), or holding aggro on cornors / choke points so you're team has an easier job controlling and killing the crowd.
Since the ST is a corr proffession in this team, you could choose too run ST yourself, while still being able to grab an IV Resto, E/Mo and 5 Mesmers.
So thats also an oppertunity you can choose to do.
Hope it helps,
Zephyr.

Zephyr of Light, thanks for this build however I am not sure how to read the above, is it:
ST = +3 Communing Rune with Blessed Insignia
Resto = +1 Soul Reaping Rune with Blessed Insignia
ER1/ER2 = +1 Energy Storage Rune with Blessed Insignia
Inep1/Inep2 = +1 Illusion Rune with Blessed Insignia
Panic/ES1/ES2 = +1 Domination Rune with Blessed Insignia
OR:
ST = +3 Communing Rune with Blessed Insignia
Resto = +1 Soul Reaping Rune with Blessed Insignia
ER1/ER2 = +1 Energy Storage Rune with Blessed Insignia
Inep1/Inep2 = +1 Illusion Rune with Blessed Insignia
Panic/ES1/ES2 = +2 Domination Rune with Blessed Insignia
OR:
ST = +3 Communing Rune with Blessed Insignia
Resto = +3 Soul Reaping Rune with Blessed Insignia
ER1/ER2 = +3 Energy Storage Rune with Blessed Insignia
Inep1/Inep2 = +3 Illusion Rune with Blessed Insignia
Panic/ES1/ES2 = +3 Domination Rune with Blessed Insignia

(The last one); ±3 on all, but the necro could take ±2 for slightly more health / survivability.

Its been a long day friends..
What a news too receive, hearing our beloved community will basicly come down to an end.
With this news i'd like to say in my very own thread a farewell too everybody.
And everyone that has been helped with Z-Way, I want too thank you for giving it a chance, for some not very special, and for some it opened doors too content they never really thought of completing otherwise.
I'am saying alot but yet i'm speechless..
I hope I'v served my purpose on this section of the forum, and hope this team just like Sabway becomes a part of the history books. (Lately developed, the meta it never got to be )
I'll be saving this entire thread and screenshots of my collection on my hard-disk, too hopefully be posted anywhere it can lay too rest.
From the bottom of my heart.
Thank you Guru, the Admins, and ofcourse the entire community which made it worth every minute I spend here.
Take care, God speed.

Hello. I just came back to Guild Wars (I played it 5 years, took a 1 year break and returned). I have been going through all the builds and I'm trying out a new character Elementalist. I have a very strong build with 2 elementalists, ritualist and all the pletora.
Thing is, I got it from PvX wiki. I wonder why you haven't considered adding it up there, it could easily be meta'ed and then everyone could have easy access to it. You can add skills in a nice overlay, it's a very easy-to-use website. I'm just surprised that I couldn't find anything of ZWay over there, when from the looks of it it seems to be the best build out there.
Hopefully you still see this message. If anything, would you allow me to post the Zway on the PvXwiki? It would be tremendously helpful.
Kind regards, and thank you for all this effort and sharing it with the community (even if it is going to go down).

Hey Joris.
I'v tried to put it on the pvxwiki but haven't been able to create an account there since they abolished account creation there, thus also have not been able to post it there.
However if you are able to do that, I will give you permission and allow you to do so aslong you'll give full credit too the creator/author (me, Zephyr) and put in all info in the build description.

ps :
Pvxwiki seems to be an out-dated, dead website.
Marty Silverblade have referred me and users too : gwpvx.com instead.
So preferably, post it on there.
Cheers,

Nowadays people typically refer to gwpvx.com as PvXWiki. I make a point of writing "gwpvx.com" to ensure people go to the right place. For a time after launch (no idea how long) a google search for "PvXWiki" lead you to the old one. It was important to differentiate between them.

Ok cool, it's really nice that you are still around. I have a curse account (through my YouTube channel) and was able to log into the website. I will take the utmost care to put everything into the build as carefully as possible without missing out on anything. Since I have already seen other people mention this build in-game after all these years, I feel like it needs to be made permanent.
I'll send a link back here when the page is done!
PS: What would you like me to do, create 3 different Zway pages, one for each of the different Zways? (=Healer, Merc, DPS) or have all of those on a single page? Advantage of 3 different pages is less clutter and better overview per category, having all on one page ultimately helps to to bring everyone to the one and only place with all the builds but could be overwhelming for some people.
