Default Help with 7 hero Urgoz NM

So I decided to try Urgoz's Warren in NM with 7 heroes. I'd never been there before, but I read the wiki and searched gwguru then had a few goes. Eventually I got the hang of the popups, environmental effects etc and made it as to the final room using this build...

... at which point I realised that I'd misread the wiki and ignored the two Greater Serpents. I had planned to get Urgoz down to 90% by running in and out with my warrior and chipping away at him, then using the Edge of Extinction trick. But the Greater Serpents healed way faster than I could do damage whilst staying alive, and in the end I had to quit.

So now I need a way to kill those serpents using heroes, without getting killed by the explosive thingies. The best idea I can think of is to run heroes in under cover of "Don't Trip" and use strong DOT nukes, then run out again. I figure three Meteor Showers cast under Glyph of Sacrifice might do it, for example.

But it'll take me an hour or two to get far enough to find out. So I would like to know what other people think, and whether they have any suggestions that are known to work in that room.

I run pretty much the same w bar but with buh (by urals hammer) slotted in. At urgoz i just flag the eoe somewhere safe and in range, then run around with the rest of the heros, atking urgoz. The heros never last very long as i dont bother flagging them but thats when buh comes into play. After 6-8x buh, urgoz is usually down.

Just make sure you stay alive and moving, but that shouldnt be much of a problem.

killing urgoz with seven heroes is difficult. i doubt one player running in and out will have enough firepower to kill urgoz with only eoe due to his regeneration, and heroes dont kite explosive growths, so they pretty much die within 10 seconds of entering his range. i am sure there is a way to do it, however, but its alot easier and faster with other players

I got it, after a couple more attempts, thanks to the advice from Squishy FTW (buh) and ccb (ignore the serpents).

I flagged my SoS/Extinction rit at a fairly safe point just in EoE range, flagged my UA outside the room for insurance, and flagged the rest of the heroes next to Urgoz locked onto him. The main hero group did about 10% of Urgoz's health before dying. I ran in and out under cover of "I am Unstoppable" so he couldn't pin me, triggering the explodey popups for Extinction, and used "By Ural's Hammer" every second trip. That killed him in about 8 iterations.

Thanks for the offer of help in game ccb, I appreciate it but I wanted to do this one myself.

Thanks folks.

On the matter of builds... ISTM getting through this dungeon is not about team builds, any decent team could survive and kill it. It's about technique, extreme care/patience with aggro, knowing what can go wrong, and having tactics for the tricky bits. Once that is down you could work on your time if repeating (I'm not).

I think a warrior doing ball and spike would work well here, there are lots of corners, but you will need some serious long range protting to survive the groups of 4-6 thorn wolves -- one of their attacks hit my warrior with a shield for 110 damage in NM.

Please don't use this forum to brag unconstructively. Posting alternative builds for discussion is fine but making unsubstantiated claims isn't helping.
