I also farmed him for a long time with 55/sliver. Never got a tome from him, but got plenty of gold daggers.

Farming for Elite Tomes is not worth it. With the high number of runs people did, they could as well farm elsewhere with potentially higher benefits.

I think it's worth it. I want elite skills. Plus the number of UW passage scrolls I've gotten is ridiculous. Mindclouder FTW!

I made 100 tome runs. 80 on Buzzr 20 on Exuro
Greens 10 drops
Fow Scroll 1 drop
UW Scroll 1 drop
Gold Items 5 Drops
Elite tome 5 Drops
Just to say 1 Think on 80 Buzzr runs i got 1 Elite tome
On 15 Exuro runs (after that i made 5 more runs, so i made all in all 20 Exuro runs) i got 4 Elite tomes. More over i got from Exuro 3 Elite tomes in a row.
I used a 55 HP Mo/N with Spoil and need 20 secs to kill Exuro
and 55 HP N/ME with Spoil and Empathi and some other skills to kill Buzzr 19 secs.

not to flame, but why use 55hp when he can't attack you due to the wall?

I initially made the same conceptual mistake. Spoil Victor activates on attack, not on a successful hit, and the monster AI is not aware of terrain features that obstruct projectiles. Byzzr is a monk and thus uses ranged attacks, and the fact that the attacks are stopped by the wall doesn't prevent SV from doing its work. This must be the only case of a 55 build that doesn't need Prot Spirit

Not quite...I use a 55 W/N to farm Byzzr, Craw and Zarnas.
The combination of Awaken the Blood, Life Siphon, Spoil Victor and Price of Failure works a treat on Byzzr and Craw so any X/N or N/X will have no problems.
Craw and Zarnas behave much the same as Byzzr, however they can take awhile to patrol within agro behind a wall. To speed things along, take a bow for the pull. Beware that one hit from either one will kill a 55 in HM without PS. Hit Sprint, attack with a long or flatbow and run around the corner for the setup. With a +30 HP bow you'll survive one hit from Craw but not from Zarnas.
PoF doesn't work on Zarnas, but he spams Stone Daggers for double SV damage. He also likes to interrupt and knock you down using Gale - Dolyak Signet takes care of that, so a 55 SV W/N can be an effective build against these bosses. A D/N, E/N, N/D, N/E or N/W will also do the job so there are plenty of non-PS options out there, depending on the run

Why 55hp?
Answer:
Spoil Victory--Skill Deskription from Guildwiki:
For 5...17 seconds, whenever target foe attacks or casts a Spell on a creature with less Health, that foe loses 25...85 Health.
So guys if u go out with a 500+ life character and the Boss life drops -500, u will need another dmg skill to get the last strike. With a 55hp char u just need to sit in the backline and look how the noob KI kills himself.

Farmed all day different bosses, and got 5 greens, no tomes; some golds and scrolls too. Man, that tomes are hard!!
I really think farming tomes is not a good way to get gold in this game, anyway, I started just with the idea of use the tomes myself, not sell.

I did about 20 runs a day for 2 days and never got a tome from byzzr. Head out today, do one run, get a tome. It isnt a consistent way to make money IMO

If you check the previous page, you'll find a laundry list of 10 bosses and farming builds (and a compilation of screenshots showing an elite tome of each profession dropping from the respective bosses).
Darkroot Entrop is a trivial farm for an E/A or A/E and provides a nice pair of daggers as well.
