mind wrack, echo, cry of pain?
if timed right, no scatter
guess i need to go try it out on monk
EDIT: wow the ai scatter on these guys is screwed, doesn't matter how long you wait between cry of pains, they will still scatter on the second one every time

It's been stated that if ennemies have a wall on one side of them, they tend to stay in place. It also helps to have a snare but its optional.
Standing on the left side of the bolder in the crevise tends to do the job. Having them attack you in the open will have the jumping like popcorn in a microwave. You can sometimes wand one of the scattering ennemies which makes them take interest in you again.

what i was going off of is what i've found true during glacial farming, if you space your aoe more than 3 sec apart, then they won't scatter
i've seen it farming gok in hm as well, they hit on your soj 3 times then scatter. obviously the raptors dont seem to do that, you can wait 15 sec between cry of pain and they will still scatter

Here's my 55 monk video farming the raptors in HM.
This build will not kill the boss.
The run in this video is sloppy, but you get the point.

You should try your build outside LA : caromis drops some gold items, feathers ($$$), and 1 caromi scalp = 1 ghost in the box @Halloween.
Didn't try grawl, but i will for the easter because more than 2 hours of farming in the same place is boring.
To summary my ranger spots :
- flamme corridor
- caromis & fire imps outisde LA
- snowmen (chests + mass aggro), snowman's lair is ranger's lair (50-60 event items / hour)
=> next one is grawl :P
EDIT @ mystic bella : 130 HP with protective spirit, shielding hand, shield of absorption, smite condition, shield of judgement, balthazar's aura, blessed aura, balthazar's spirit.

Snowman's lair solo with my ranger, yes, see my thread in this section
@tasha : when I say 30-40 event item / H, it was during st patrick so it was ale+clover, not only one of them.

Arcane Echo
VWK
Mantra of Resolve
Vengeful Weapon
Physical Resistance
Not sure if above will work in HM, i know it will work in nm cause almost anything can kill raptors in nm. Physical resistance when pulling, but don't have arcane echo up when you use it, or AE will cancel.
EDIT: right after i posted i realized i have 2 stances in there, the only thing i can see working then is in nm, and when you've got all the raptors, hit mantra and then just cast vwk right away, you'll live fine in nm. HM i doubt would work.

Just go and use the 600hp Rit/Smite build posted here: http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10242460
In skill slots 2 and 5 on your bar, switch them out for mindbender and Air of Superiority. On the monk's bar, switch out spell breaker for Shield of Judgment. Cast your spells while the raptor's are knocked down and you should be fine most of the time.

there are many better wasy to farm these stuff - solo farming. H/H will take too many drops to call it effective. Try raptors or something you can do solo well
