well i can tell you raptor farming without a weekend event is pretty unprofitable.
During this past weekend event i was making around 40-50k an hour.

That sounds like a gross exaggeration. The average over the weekend was more like 20-25K / hour. I farmed raptors for 30 hours over the easter weekend (mostly for treasure hunter points) and netted 500K in bunnies, eggs and regular drops.
My 500K was in actual sales, not taking the highest price offered by traders and applying it to the total i farmed. The average sale price was 250g for bunnies and 125g for eggs. Very few were buying at 300g / 150g and not for very long. Factoring in the mods, dyes and a couple of nice chest drops that i kept, add maybe another 150K to that.
The norm is around 5K to 10K / hr in NM, assuming you're not selling weapon mods. If you can, add another 5K.

Farming vaettirs in HM is more profitable by far anytime, including weekend events.
You get glacial stones....perfect spellcasting mods/inscriptions....mesmer tomes....some really great weapons.......and Norn points.
During the lucky weekend i got both a stack of ale and a stack of clovers in 2 hours. That's about 90k worth of stuff..........so about 45k an hour just from event items. In that time I also fill my inventory with golds.....which nets about 10k just merching, not including mods. So it actually does come out to a no bullshit 50k an hour during weekend events.
Oh yea, those figures don't include the massive amounts of glacial stones or mesmer tomes.

I just read Mr Kotte's average time to do a Raptor run with an E/A AoE build. At less than a minute it's definitely faster than the W/Rt i was running. I've run both and the E/A didn't seem that much faster than a W/Rt in NM, maybe 10-15 secs per run.
Haven't tried Vaettirs yet, impressive returns Dimento! So maybe it is possible to do 50K / hour on event weekends

IMO I find it better to sit in town buying event items (130g for eggs, 260g for bu nnies) and then selling them all in a few weeks when prices go back up to normal (sweets are usually 150-160g per point)
E/A build I use is
[skill]Glyph of Elemental Power[/skill][skill]Shadow Form[/skill][skill]Sliver Armor[/skill][wiki]Intensity[/wiki] [wiki]Ebon Battle Standard of Honor[/wiki] [skill]Death's Charge[/skill][skill]Dark Escape[/skill][wiki]Air of Superiority[/wiki]

Out of interest why are you running in NM? I think you'll find everyone else is running in HM, so you won't be as fast or get the same amount for your loot.
Edit: @Mr Kotte I know HM is quicker I was wondering why he was running in NM as he stated in both his posts.

HM is acctualy faster then NM imo - as you can have a speedboost all the way through the aggro (saves roughly 15 seconds) and the nuking part takes about 8 seconds (total save 7 seconds).
One HM run takes me 57 seconds to cycle.
Got about 80 easter items of each/hour. Made 800k total from this weekend.
In HM and without easter, I'd say you make about 5-15k depending on luck. (I.e if you get 3 elemental swords r9 you can sell them for atleast 15k/ea - and if you get none you have to have faith in your merchs/mods).

How long do you take for a run? As I do a HM run in just over 1 min.
