Take the destroy the ungrateful slaves quest and let the king die, then cast EoE a little bit out of aggro, then splinter weapon, then just barrage, run, recast splinter, barrage, repeat until dead, it should only take 3 shots to kill them all. Always use the 33% speed buff to run after you barrage, you can do it with 25% speed buff but then you need to wait for the group to settle before you can attack again.
EDIT: Current places you can use this build -
Ungrateful slaves quest - Normal mode and hard mode
Protect the learned quest - Normal mode and hard mode
Battle for Turai's procession quest - Normal mode and hard mode
Stygian veil - Normal mode, will post a build for hard mode once I figure one out that is reliable

You really only need 6 skills for this to work, that is why I only had the 7 listed, nightmare weapon is only needed if for some reason there is 1 guy left, and it only takes 1 shot with nightmare and he is dead.

i don't understand, splinter weapon only hits adjacent foes.....they're not even adjacent to you....how do you activate the splinter weap?

hm then it's the skill description that's confusing....if it's adjacent to the target it should've been foes adjacent to your target instead of just adjacent foes

Whenever someone is coming up with a new approach to farm some already well known spots, u r the one who always has something to complain.
Why don't u just help him to improve his build or just tell him that it is a nice idea he came up with, is it so hard to respect others and give some credits for their ideas ?
btw Sk8boarder, nice build, works well, am using a similar splinter weapon build on Zehlnelun and his friends, just nice to watch how splinter weapon works

well, has he tried it ? is he in the position to judge this build ? he didn't mention that he has tried nor that he has ever played this build in other regions, so where does he base his critique on ?

With the VwK build sometimes it takes more than 30 seconds to kill the mob... 30 seconds is the fastest... this build kills them in 15...I do not see how VwK is faster, the only rit build that is faster is Rt/W and that is not as safe as this.

i have tried it....mebbe it's cuz i'm not skilled enough....i can't kill them fast enough.....and with activating the speed buff.....i did get a grp spawn that can curse me thus ends my natural stride.....and they followed me to my grave. even when i manage to kill a grp, it took me very very long.(again i blame it on my skill)
well mebbe arkain said this is slower because when you kill one group u have to wait for the next grp to come and then settled down b4 u can att again. with the VwK build u don't have to....u can almost straight away aggro the next grp n continue. but then the time difference, i can't tell.

This build is great alternative for farming dead sword, i dont know bout the speed on killing, but this build is a lot more fun then the Vwk build.
@Kenichiukiya
Are you using a longbow or flatbow? if you are, make sure you are at max range for the bow and rite before you barrage hit the natural stride and start running back, your character will shoot the barrage and run back without aggro them and repeat 3 times and make sure your using a 33% speed buff and not a 25%. I hope this will help you out.

Yeah but can the VWK build do this?
Thx for the build as you can see I modded it a bit, and used it for the Stygian Veil. You have to learn which enemy has which agro, but it works splendidly
Superior Beast, Expertise & Minor Markmanship.
Flatbow is needed due to the long flight time of the arrows.
Put down EoE. Cast Splinter Weapon, Barrage on closest. When the arrows leaves the tip of your bow use 1 of the 33% running skills to loose agro and run away . Repeat till they have died. If one of them is left use any weapon spell and wielders strike for an instant zap. ( Got a gemstone )
I think this build will work on any group of monsters that balls up , and it isn't that slow either....
** edit Created a New Thread: R/Rit Barrage Splinter Mob Farmer, with Props to you. **
** edit 2, I now did this run with my build and this is way faster then doing it with either a SOJ monk, or the W/mo build. Prob also faster then the VWK build because they don't scatter. So first try it then, say if it's slower or not.

GJ on coming up with a r/rt build, I do not have a ranger so I was not able to try it. I am sure the higher beast mastery helps kill off the last couple guys, I am currently trying to lower wilderness survival a bit so I can raise it, it seems to work a little better, but in stygian veil you have to be more careful with some mobs as they sometimes follow for a long time.

I updated the attributes, I found that lower wilderness survival in favor of higher beast mastery works better, I have yet to have any enemies survive now with a more powerful EoE.
