DCore Farming War/Rit nerfed? Thoguhts ?
I was logged in last night just after the update and decided to do a bit of Dcore farming (first wave of Glints) in hard Mode. I use a similar build to that previously posted on this site- basically continuous VwK through bringing a QZ ranger Hero. I have farmed about 300 Dcores this way in the recent past, so I know the build worked.
Well, I went in with my Ranger - AND COULDN"T KILL ONE DESTROYER
I lasted for several minutes (It used to take me about 4 minutes to finish a run), getting volleyed and spirit rifted like crazy = -29's everywhere and none dropped. It seems they have buffed the monster skill "INNER FIRE" to keep them healing regularly.
So, I tried in Normal mode - still with ranger - and killed one before the cycle started again. I survived for 1000 + spirit rifts but couldn't kill them.
SO, I added EoE (to add damage if I did start killing some ) and Predatory Season to reduce the effect of healing to the ranger - still no luck.
Tonight I will cap the elite skill Quicksand for my ranger- hoping this will cause some energy denial and maybe keep them from healing so easily.
Elite Nature Ritual. Create a level 1...8...10 Spirit. All non-Spirit creatures within its range lose 1 Energy each time they attack or use a Skill. This Spirit dies after 30...78...90 seconds.

Well i'm no expert but if you have some suspicions about inner fire i'd suggest that you look up the update feedback and see if you were right...

He is right, or at least so it says on wiki. I will imagine this effects the e/me hm variant as well which relies only on sliver armor for damage, which sucks since I spent the past weekend getting my ele through eotn specifically for this. Oh well...

unfortunatly inner fire does not require energy so they will still spam it without energy. it says in the update that they made the skill work, i guess it dident work before and no one noticed. the price of dcores might rise as a result of this.

Bug Fixes
* Fixed a bug with the Destroyer skill Inner Fire that caused its user to not receive any healing from the skill.
As it is, that's the change.

E/Me will still work until you have like <5 destroyers left since the damage is so fast.

Sliver Armor
How is Sliver Armor faster than VwK ? Every attack on you with VwK does 29 damage back to the source - I have never run a sliver armor ellie but from reading the skills I dont see how it can be faster. Course at 16 earth it does more damage than VwK so maybe that is what makes it work.
Also, Inner Fire does require 5 energy - so energy denial may work

Sliver will do massive damage to one target, rather than doing small damage to several targets (Which will easily be outhealed)

I liked farming the cloths of the brotherhood for my heroes. It was a pretty mellow, easy h&h. Can't do that now.

My guild seems to think this is all just part of the April Fools event, and that everything will be turned back to normal later. I doubt it though... So depressing, they go to such great lengths to stop people from buying gold and yet here they are nerfing some of the few remaining reliable income sources.
I guess I'll have to go make an Ele and farm Raptors like all the kool kids.

Elementalist still works, if you use an ultra overpowered sliver build. (Intensity etc.)
I hope this will bring up the prices of cores.
Since I'm mainly farming on my Ele, I kinda like this nerf. But it's still a nerf of a main warrior farm.

On a (somewhat unrelated) side note, this update may very well mean that [skill]Scourge Healing[/skill] will now be one of the most effective destroyer destroying skills. Its long duration and short recast could completely negate the presumptive health gain and turn it into damage for a whole squadron of destroyers.
If I'm not mistaken, the net damage dealt over time will range between 370 at smiting 12 and 540 at smiting 16.
Although destroyer core farming may not be able to profit from this, it will at least help rebalance PvE gameplay in Destruction's Depths, the Raven Dungeon, A Gate Too Far and the G.O.L.E.M mission.

Inner Fire doesn't heal, it's a health gain skill, so Scourge will not trigger (I assume, correct me if I'm wrong).

wrong I just checked and Scourge Healing works
kudos to philo for a great idea
now the sad part is the time :/ (but keep in mind that was my first try)
but the D-cores should jump nicely in price

"30 health/second" isn't regen, (+15 regen wouldn't do much), its heal for 30 every second. Although usually "gain != heal" but that's how it's working here. (Wonder how victorious sweep works...)
