After a quick scan of the first 2 pages of threads, I failed to find a thread taht actually tells me the PURPOSE of Raptor Farming, and how it would be more or less favorable in that purpose...

One can assume:

that since this is in an Asuran area where, in general, there are lower leveled creatures it would be a quick way to gain Asuran points...Of course this can't be the only reason since you can gain them in a group none-the-less...

weekend event/holiday treat farming? but how would this area differ from other areas in efficiency? (why wouldnt i go kill a pass of any other creature that is similar in level?)

maybe in hardmode there are mediocre drops from these level 20's?

if someone could enlighten me, I'd appreciate it.

Elemental swords drop from the raptor nestlings. Heavy farming dropped the price of these swords.

Theres also event items, they do seem to drop more favorably here.

FArm raptors I got to 9k sweet tooth points from just farming by myself easter bunnies

If i had sold them i would have made at the vry least 500k :P

This is why I made a raptor farmer. After missing out on event drops two weeks in a row with my para, I took seven hours and a few plat to go from nf to rata sum so I can kill raptors for next event. If it isnt nerfed, it will be time well spent imo.

ahh, i was wondering what sort of farm was the cause of this...

ive been playing this game since its release, and I have only a hand full of times farmed; i'm an "economy junkie" as i like to refer to it, making my money off of the economy rather than farm, but since I'm also looking to max alot of my titles out, farming may be the most efficient way...(in this case: asura title, if there are chests treasure hunter, wisdom from ID's, and of course event items and gold to further raise other title's)

Yes, this is done in Hard Mode.

I prefer using my E/A.. takes me about 1 minute, give or take a few seconds depending on the spawn (yes, that's to get the bounty, run there, aggro, pick up loot and map out).

no wonder elemental swords have dropped so much...i should sell mine asap lol.

personally, I want to max titles on my warrior, which i assume would take some more effort to solo with

They don't drop more favorably than anywhere else, but because of the sheer number of raptors (and special items being unaffected by farm/drop code) its probably the fastest way to get them.

EDIT: Armen; I actually don't suggest selling them off, raptor farming has died away a good bit since the pricedrop and the only real farming goes on during events.

Events = more farming
more farming = more drops
more drops = more chance of ele sword,

so you're going to notice during and after events the price of ele swords is at its lowest, while the longer it has been w/o a event the higher a price you'll get.

I suggest waiting out the gaile event, as I dont see any holidays/events for awhile after it, and sell before the next event.

they don't drop well, you just kill more, therefore increasing the chance of getting them

Isn't the Guild Wars Birthday 28 April? I believe that is the date it went live. Aside from the weekend beta events. I assume birthday cupcakes again? Hopefully anyway.

There has been recent nurfings but the way to change it for ele at least is to have..
t 72 energy
Replace flame dynns for armor of mist
replace fire attunment for inferno so ur build should look like...
Deadly paradox
Shadow form
armor of mist
glyph of sac
Metor shower
Bed of coals
inferno
&
lava font
this is what i use and it works fine

in HM of course

I always hated Deadly Paradox in this build so i never got into the Raptor Firebomber. Any reason you don't use Glyph of Concentration instead?
I just tried that and had fewer problems running the build.

I'm assuming this can't farm the boss and you just tackle the two patrols plus stragglers...is that right?
