Oh, ya, I'm just saying it's prob doable.
It's probably not worth it, unless both of the duo really want the item for some reason.

But the question is is it worth doing? After all his sword is worth very little nowadays due to overfarming from Warriors (and practically everyone else for that matter). The chances it drops are getting smaller and then the chances it drops for you are half that.

Yeah, and then the net is also low.
A touch ranger armed with the information in this thread can make 1.5k / minute and up on average for sustained periods if you are clever about targeting, so why bother with what boils down to .1 k / minute? Non-starter as far as I am concerned.

Yeah, this and Rajazan, I think they may have nerfed Rajazan AND Sskai due to overfarming from Riposte Warriors. If only they programmed Rajazan to switch to his staff when someone used ripostes.
Oh, and P.S., I hope someone can answer a question of mine. If you pull a boss into a group that it agros, and it isn't killed, does it have less chance to drop the green, or is it just your luck if you get him to WIELD the weapon in question.
Some farms you just can't notice if they have the green or not, EX. Sunreach Warmaker, he uses a hammer yet drops a green Shield or Strongroot Tanglebranch who also drops a green Shield, yet I don't see holding it at any time.

Thought i'd add a new guide to Ghial. I think he deserves Medium tbh. Killed him a few times today (ran to him and forgot to change stats twice :S).
Instead of going over the bridge towards Oroson, Tranquil 'henchman raper' Acolyte. Go the left way. Wait for Dodge + Zojuns to recharge (its advisable to be holding a weapon with +7 armour vs elemental) and run past both groups. Wait to regen before going over, or the patrols might be in the wrong place. Run past the first group (don't agro) and walk up the ramp. And wait for the patrol to come closer before running down the next ramp. Run far enough to break agro but not into the next group (or your dead). Avoid the group for aslong as possible before running past them and up the ramp. Run onto the bridge on the left to regen, if your feeling lucky run right down the ramp and onto the bridge towards Ghial. Once you reach the bridge, kill off both groups of Jade Knights (very easy with Throw Dirt and Lightning Reflexes - Whirling makes casters flee, never a good thing if you want them still).
The most time consuming part is Ghials group. What i use to do was lure 1 enemy and Ghial would charge too.. it seems thats not working anymore. Instead just lure them out 1 by 1 (the majority come alone) using a Flatbow, the huge arc gives you time to move back.
When you get closer to Ghial himself, make sure the corpses have all vanished (its safer than just trying to interrupt Flesh Golem, took me about 20 minutes to finally kill him by luring the Golem away to get rid of the corpse. Alternatively you could just bring Consume Corpse and put a few points into Death Magic. Ghial himself is extremely easy aslong as you put the occasional stance up to avoid his attacks.

Quick tip, which I'm sure all the old pros are already aware of, for some of the tougher runs to bosses, such as Ghial and Rajazan. Pick up one of the old reliable running shields that give +45 health and -2 physical damage reduction while in a stance. Don't worry about not meeting the requirement, you'll still get the bonuses while Dodging (or Zojun's Hasting?) from place to place. Pairing one of these with a +5 energy, +health or +defense weapon makes running alot less stressful.
They're available from collectors all over Cantha and Tyria:
Kiishen / 5 Plague Idols / Shenzun Tunnels, near portal to Naphui Exporable
Guard Captain Mirkoz / 5 Dredge Incisors / Saint Anjeka's Shrine
Axton / 5 Archaic Kappa Shells / Archipelagos, right outside Jade Flats (Luxon)
Lord Dorn Lendrigen / 2 Bleached Shells / The Scar, little north of Thirsty River
Hagnon Warblade / 5 Frosted Griffon Wings / Snake Dance, right outside Camp Rankor

This is no doubt helpful in certain circumstances, and would be likely to be helpful particularly to new touchers.
Personally, I haven't really worried about carrying one of these shields, I just use Set 1, totalling +60 HP. I rarely have any kind of problem running anywhere. Touchers are a bit like cockroaches: very hard to get rid of if you're a PvE monster.

Theres no reason not to have 1... whether your 'pro' or not at running every little helps. I've been using the Crimson Carapace Shield and a +5 armour Spatha for ages now. Extra health is useless.
Armour matters from the moment you take the first hit. Health matters when you get closer to 0.

Well that's the beauty of the Carapace/sword combo for running: you get armor, health, and absorbtion.
+45 hp from the shield
+~10 armor since you don't me the tactics req
-2 physical dmg recieved
and either +5 armor or +30 hp from sword mods.
Slap on sentry's armor, and you are set.
I've done chest runs in my touch build, just because I am that lazy. Besides, any ranger that likes to play around with sword builds will have these laying around anyway. Heck shields aren't customizable, so I stole mine from my warrior character.

I have more green shields than I know what to do with as a toucher, and still I typically just use my old victos bulwark though with a +5 defense modded poisonous phoenix blade. Works well when I actually strap on some warrior skills too. The other green (which is touch farmable) is the yetis arrahhsh's aegis in pongmei valley - I use touch/bite/OoB/throw/whirling/SoA/plague/distracting shot for the healing sig
this shield is -2/+45 in stance

Sword Ancient Kai - Extremely easy if there was even a category for it.
Skillset - V.Touch/V.Bite/OoB/Dist.Shot/SoA/P.Touch/Dodge/Zojun's Haste.
I won't go into the run since it has been explained on many other threads. (Search - Ancient [insert name here] farming. The most popular being Koosun.)
When you get to him, equipt your bow; After exactly 6 touches, it will take him 3/4 to one second to use Heal Sig; Knock it out with Distracting and rip into him. Since he doesn't strike back(Bug? *shrug*), there is no need to pace yourself with touches as it will only hinder you in killing speed by allowing the H.Sig to recharge. Sometimes, depending on your speed, he might start using the Signet again but you can out-touch it if you have +15/-1 wand and offhand on switch. If you fail to distract the Signet on the first shot, just wait for your energy to recharge and re-touch him.
If distracted on the first try, the run takes 5-6 minutes on average. Easiest sword I ever farmed, though the stats aren't the best.

Unless your an ele and can therefore kill Kai in a matter of seconds, theres no reason to kill him at all. His greens worth less than 5k.
Is it possible to solo farm Koosun though? (even though its still faster on ele). Being as the first thing he uses is Starburst, you should hopefully be able to time it to Distract it. Maybe bring Savage Shot for the Obsidan Flame to.

Has anyone tried to kill Sunreach? Most likely as a duo... i assume solo would end with death.

Question re: Chkkr Locust Lord.
Has anyone else experienced him breaking aggro and running even after you've started touching him?
Four or five times now among the many kills, he's just turned and run back to his little islet, sometimes even leading me in to extra aggro when I can't stop a touch quick enough. I thought maybe it was a buggy reaction to Whirling, but I started paying attention after the second time and he's still blinded from Dirt, so Whirl isn't even up yet.
Obviously this isn't a major problem and I can still gank more often than not, but it is rather frustrating and I was just wondering if anyone else has seen this. And if so, if you've figured out why and what can be done? Thanks.

Yeah, I've had this happen. It only happens to me when I back away from Chkkr's island to get more solo room after the fight begins, not when I stand in one place.
Solution: play with Chkkr as he is on his way in to fight you to make sure you're in the right spot, then don't move unless you decide to run.

Thanks Hanego. Maybe this is it, as I do sometimes bounce around a little trying to find a safer spot from the patrols. Also, something from Knowledge's mini-guide on Brightclaw to not switch weapon sets until after the first touch. I'll give both these a try and see if he still runs like a baby.

well, I have been trying solo and dual, and its possible to eventually whittle down sunreaches group until its just him. But, it is extremely time consuming and imo there are better ways
