You made more damage on him than the guards. That's why you got it. If the guards made more dmg than you would then they would get the drop.

Just wondering where i could find the statistics of the drop rate of certain bosses....can anyone tell me a website where i could find this info?
If noone knows maybe one of you could answer my question. What is the likelyhood of the same boss, lets say Whispering Ritual Lord, dropping their green twice in the one day?

Thought I'd add my own twist on this topic - how to deal with Bazzr Wingstorm.
He likes to stack crazy degen hexes on you constantly, so how to deal with that? Melandru's Resilience!
The build I used:
Blood 10
Expertise 16
Wilderness Survival 9
Vampiric Touch
Vampiric Bite
Signet of Agony
Plague Touch
Melandru's Resilience
Troll Unguent
Throw Dirt
Whirling Defense
The reduction in blood magic won't make a big difference - 59 as opposed to 65 health stolen each time.
Exit out of Eternal Grove. Kill the enemy spawns along the way - usually mixes of undergrowths, kirins, mosses, and gakis. They're all pretty easy. As for Wingstorm, pull him with a long bow so the mantisses don't spawn near him. Once you lure him away, immediately run towards him and throw dirt (his wand attacks hurt a lot). If he hits you with Crippling Anguish before you can reach him, put up melandru's and troll, then make your way there. Otherwise, just melandru. Once melandru wears off, use troll and whirling to keep you up until melandru comes back. Usually, it takes two rounds of melandru to kill him. You may also want to take the blessing from the shrine priest to make things easier (though not required).
I was also able to kill Mina Shatterstorm with this build, though using Offering as opposed to Melandru works with him also.
I'm pretty certain that this build can be used to farm a lot of bosses that use heavy degen hexes (or hexes in general) or condition degen. Will experiment further.

This is key.
One good place to practice it is on the way to the Warden of Saprophytes. You have to dodge a few mantises, get past some trappers, then clear an area using geometry to shield you. Should be good practice. Developing a sense of exactly how big your aggro bubble is and what size channels you can sneak through is good, and another thing that's good is learning which types of enemies will Cripple or snare you, and which won't, etc.

If touching the rit construct is giving you fits...
I know its heresy in this thread, but try this:
8+1+3 WS
10 inspiration
12 dom
famine(e)
spirit of failure
spirit shackles
mind wrack
ether feast
empathy
energy tap
either troll/feedback I've used here (never needed troll)
pull the rit construct to the corner opposit from the shriners where he cant hit you, but keeps trying to. he dies really quickly and easily. build concept: :P no energy, no spirits, no heals, no whatever
Use this helpful video for pulling: http://files.filefront.com/Ritualist.../fileinfo.html
Edit: I dunno why, but I never see the spirit damage, it is unnecesary, you could run esurge/etap instead, but dammitall I'm a ranger!

Well, I finally got off my butt and started getting my characters down the luxon side, time to touch some of the bosses down there me thinks.
I must say Evilsod that your guide for whispering rit lord on P.10 makes him frightfully easy, well explained. I hope that all of the more experienced guys doing this can make similar posts where possible to explain the technique or skill substitutions required for certain runs, as often there is a little trick, or different skill that can make all the difference. Nice work all

I really like the idea of using the melandru's resilience for energy/hex stack counter but I do have a/some concern. When you use MR you can't be in any defensive stance, and in my experience with the bad toucher thats bad. So unless you are using mostly just when you've got some dirt throwage yer defenseless AND running out of energy fast. Obviously this would work fine-really well for someone like Stonereaper where you basically dont need to fight anything but him and there may be one or 2 hexes on you , but even Ghial might be hard to farm with this. Not because Ghial is tough, but because you'll be fighting to get to him and sometimes a group of 4 or 5 at once. One obvious idea though for synergy: bring sig of agony or blood drinker and don't plague touch off the bleeding...
I would like to try Talous tho in rheas crater (illusion) with your MR build tonight or tomorrow CalypsoX.

Ghail Bone Dancer can be switched to medium on my list Easy to kill. Run is quick and fast, only need to kill o 3 groups at most
I use:
Vamp Bite & Touch
Touch Of Agony/Wallow's Bite
OoB
Throw Dirt
Whirling Defense
Dodge
Zojuns Haste
12 Blood and 16 Expertise
Way to go is, run past the ritualist boss to Tengu Town, take a left. Fight that one group and fight the knights that guard the bridge and pull back the groups near ghail bone dancer in pairs. After a few fights and what not touch and bite Ghial to death.

Tested.
Easy run, well explained, GJ.
For the record, the reasons I didn't explain all my targets to begin with are:
First, the strategy and builds were more similar than not across kills (use geometry, pack skills carefully, pay attention to pathing and enemies' skills)
Second, when I first posted I posted something like 10 or 15 targets, which was more writing than I wanted to do all at once.
Third, with few exceptions, there were few non-obvious tricks, and the targets themselves were frequently chosen for accessibility and price of result.

Just managed to touch Wing, Three Blade.
Similar sort of build to most touch runs. 2 x touch, OoB, dist shot, dodge, dirt, lightning reflexes, whirling defence is the set up.
Make your way to the first group before Wing's group. Take the rit first, dodge away. Recharge, and go in for the knights, dodge away as required. Rinse & repeat the process to take the whole group.
For Wing's group same method applies. Take the rit first, then any knights. If the ele puts a ward down be careful keep an eye on things as they can prevent a hasty retreat. All in all, you continue that process till you have Wing by himself.
Once you are ready to take Wing, throw dirt and touch with bow in hand. It takes about 6 or so touches for him to use heal sig, distract it when he does. Once you succesfully distract the heal sig switch to your touching gear and unload. Its pretty easy from there. I would rate this at about medium.
**99% of the time it takes 6 touches to get Wing to use heal sig, often he uses triple chop followed almost immediately by heal sig, so after 6 be ready.

I started from Unwaking Luxon later on. You don't even need to do Befriending the Luxons to reach it, just set off from Harvest Temple and you can get in from the back. Its even easier from that side if you can lure him first attempt. If not it becomes extremely tricky with a patrol of Saltspray Dragons passing extremely close to the bridge so you can't avoid them, in many cases its quicker to just restart the run... I started bringing along Distracting/Savage in place of Plague and Whirling, this is just so if you can lure him first attempt you can interrupt his spirits and make him hurry the **** up so another patrol of Saltsprays don't pass in front of the bridge.

Quite true - this only really works against bosses that you pull away from mobs or mobs that you can kill separately. Fortunately, a lot of bosses, including the two I mentioned in my original post can be pulled away easily. Not so sure about Talous though - isn't he with a large group of outcasts? Also, you can play with the attributes some (i.e., increase wilderness) to get more out of melandru's, and have to spend less time in whirling until you can throw up (pun intended) throw dirt again.

I ended up bringing Dryder's and killing the Saltsprays. There are usually four or so, and it's not hard to kill them as long as you stay out of their Breath of Fire. Dist Shot would def be nice to hurry the Lord up though.

@ CalypsoX: I was able to get Talous solo (his mob fights some dragons/mouths). He'll inevitably survive, but his troops usually die. I got him near dead (~1/8-1/4) but couldn't seal the deal, I'll swap some skills out but it may be better to run 2 sup runes to get another few seconds out of the MR, I would've been able to kill him but kept running out of energy. To get to Talous, I ran from Aurios mines, through milthurans puny gang, and then just followed the ele boss on his slow rampage, no aggros till Talous.
@ Hanego: I've been considering dryder's for a few things myself, glad to hear it's not categorically considered a bad idea

Ok, just looked up Talous on Guildwiki - didn't know about the path of the ele boss, but then again I don't spend a lot of time in that area. Also, Talous uses Diversion - ouch, that sucks big time for touchers.
I went ahead and tried this against Xisni Dream Haunt. This one is a tougher challenge since to get to him, you'll need to do some mob manipulation and priest pulling. There is a warden patrol in between which you can't kill because they dont stack hexes or enough conditions and have a ritualist healer. So you have to lure them to the mob of mantises from the exit of durheim and get them to fight. The mantis mob always wins. As for Dream Haunt's mob, you'll need to help of the npc priest. They stack 6-7 hexes on, which means your energy shoots up like crazy, but the damage they do is too much for you to handle alone. What worked for me is to pull the priest up the hill, then once aggroed, go straight for the boss and ignore the others (since they help boost my energy). He goes down very fast after that.

yes, diversion blows, the swap out I should've gone in with the first time would be distracting shot, as even he takes ~1+ sec to cast it giving enough time to shut him up. What I did to get me close though was to wait it out unless I 'needed' to keep touching. I sacrificed my stances one by one to diversion in order to stay alive, sadly distracting shot wouldve helped a lot but I didnt do my research heh.
