A/E Blossoming Glacial Stone - HM Farm (Image Heavy)
Ohaaidere gais!
To start off I say that this is my first image heavy farming build guide so if something is missing - take it easy.
Sorry if this was already posted....hope not.
TYhis weekend we all got very happy from the introduction of the new PvE versions of skills including the aweasomest [shadow form], it made Assassin arguably the best solofarming profession!
This weekend I got myself a Mo Zing....yeah...what could be better to use for shadow arts then the Mo Zing mask just to try out the new perma SF... after farming raptors for some time I was about to go try to farm UW with A/Me solo, chatting with a friend who was farming Vaettirs for stones, at htat point I have got an idea to farm them too.
To my great pittyness niether the Raptorish SF with nooks niether the sliver armor builds didnt work.
While being able to tank the guys i could kill them fast, their armor to elemental damage was too high...while [sliiver armor] could kill them i was falliung asleep waiting for it to kill it all...so...so...long...and at a point you get energy issues.
And then, BOOOOOM! I got an idea of using mu aweasomesauce dagger atack chains to pwn the guys with [death blossom] and huge dagger damage to which their armor is lower, just like derv does, but betterm faster and on HM without any worries.
Here is the build:
[build name="Vaettir Butcherer" build prof=A/E shadow=12+1+3 dag=10+3 crit=8 dead=2][glyph of swiftness][deadly paradox][shadow form][golden fox strike][wild strike][death blossom][golden lotus strike][dark escape][/build]
This build involves the aweasomest maintense of [shadow form] to stay invurnurable. while packing huge damages with [death blossom] and other dagger atacks to kill the guys...WOW...extremely fast for a Sin (6-10min.), without even worrying about energy which is limitless.
usage is simple:
*mantain SF all the time using [glyph of swiftness] and [deadly paradox].
*use you chain in order: [golden fox strike] --> [wild strike] --> [death blossom] --> [golden lotus strike] --> [wild strike] --> [death blossom] --> rinse and repeat, stopping to renew the SF sequence.
run to the spot from Sifhalla, mantain SF spam dark escape and you will be just fine, just straight, map that has no popups is below:
Dont worry about mobs you encounter, they wont hurt you a bit, just inter SF sequence and run.
Run thru the tunnel, watch out for traps!
Rest of the run is ez pez, you are there in no time.
Pull the whole first group here and kill it, there would be no scaterring.
Second group is harder, scatters much easier, try lovking it between trees to avoid this.
Ok, here it is, hope you guys enjoy and tell me how to make the pics bigger.
Special thanks to Rainbow Ftw for explining me how to use imageshack and Aenn Dell for criticism and observing the run.

just to add (if you don't mind) that after the run... if you still have free spaces in ur inventory you can map to Bjorra marshes and back to respawn the vaettirs and do it again.

Am I doing something wrong? Every time I try this, almost the entire group ends up having very little hp left... leaving me unable to finish them with another combo.

Not enough dagger mastery?
Not high enough mods/damage on daggers?
Could be either of those.

These guys also use Elemental Resistance, dimming the damage down to around 7 per hit at 16 Earth.

sliver armor with 16 earth magic = 7 dmg to vaettirs.
they have 160 armor vs earth.
i would expect this lack of knowledge from a lazy member.

What about the A/Me one?
[Ether Nightmare][Cry of Pain][Wandering Eye][Clumsiness] are all armor-ignoring damage.
Or does that cause too much scatter.

It scatters. I've found that only PBAoE damage works, or PBAoE degen from like, Radiation Field. Sliver Armor works, but it takes a while, while if I take my time, PBAoE Degen and Light of the Deldrimor works well.

a/e build works a treat for the vaettirs along with a few other places.
but as for the assasin being the new ultimate farmer LMAO i'll take my ele over it anytime, the new sf buff simply means you can farm more than a few places now with a sin

The elementalist earth line also has [skill]crystal wave[/skill] and [skill]Teinai's Crystals[/skill]. The armour ignoring damage caused by these spells bypasses the massive damage reduction vs earth enjoyed by the foes here, the [skill]Sliver Armor[/skill] build often encorporates both these skills and they do the vast majority of the damage. I am unsure as to how effective these two skills would be in connection with your build in terms of energy management but as a general rule armour ignoring damage ownzzzzzz in Hard Mode

Why not put Critical Agiligty in there? Faster attacks = better e-management.

Running there from Longeye's Ledge is about 150 times easier, for the record

Ok thanks for all the criticism, will change the running route guide too, it seems running the from Longeye would be faster unless you bump into the wurm there somewere (his why I ran from Sifhalla) but Im not sure about it. To be honest Assuming that you have SF sequence on you all the time you care very little about mobs that follow you, just run straight, they wont harm you.
Some players have pointed out the extremely low damage that [sliver armor] causes to the guys, yeah, thats very true and is the main reason to farm them with physical damage.
Unfortunately Assassin's energy, as far as I know with no energy management wont affprs the use of [crystal [email protected]] and [teinais [email protected]] wilst those spells would deal consistanly less damage then they dp with ele, making little differense.
One player pointed out thet sometime vaettirs are left with very little hp, true, happens sometime, this why you must make sure to have about 13, his reduces the chances of this happening.

A/E sliver works fine on them, but usually leaves acouple left... well i do anyways, takes too long to clear them out. If you use Ebon Battle Standard of Wisdom, they take over 24 dmg from Sliver, and thats is more than enough to clear them out. As for daggers, HM would make them flee if you don't pull them against a wall or something.
Daggers work good one them, but seems to kill ur drop rate big time.
