in need of dust farming spots
hey guys ive seen all the material farming spots and builds, mostly about bones, cloth slabs and feathers.
now heres the question, is there any good farming spots for Dust? ive trawled through the forum and theres places like CoF and Uw, but then again apart from dust they drop other stuff, im looking for places where dusts are majority of the drops. help anyone?

Where dust drops in high-end areas (usually from undead), they tend to drop in large amounts. Try farming those spots and see how much dust you get, then compare that to feather farms, cloth farms, etc.

I farm feathers outside of Seitung Harbor with my Rit. its about 60-70 feathers in 10 min runs. Personally to me I think its faster than Nahpui. Dust can be obtained thru 600/smite in The Hidden City, etheral garments and such turn into dust and as the others have said undead farms tend to spit out alot of bones of course but dust is in great supply as well. There is many spots for this CoF of course, Undead outside of Bergen Hot Springs, Gates of Kyrta. Thats all that comes to mind right now. Hope it helps.

Since I dont play as much anymore , this is where I got my mats
Feathers - Caromi outside LA in HM even going 600/smite I could get a stack
Dust - "highly salvageable" insc + Gold Giant Conch = 75 - 100 dust per
Bones - N Kryta mission even in NM I can get a stack

Outside of Bergen Hot Springs near Lions Arch. There are a lot of undead out there and they tend to drop piles of bones and glittering dust.

The Raptor farm produces alot of Great Conch's (the shield) wich turns into dust when salvaged. Usualy get 1 or 2 per run, if not more.
Then there is always FoW and Dark Remains(best spot in GW), I have a stack of 250+. I just salvage them as I need dust.

The Black Curtain can be farmed with a Fire Ele and can get you Dust (by drop and by salvaging Dark Remains...remember to just use a normal salvage kit, Scales and Plant Fiber.
When salvaging remember to use just a normal salvage kit to save gold.

Or is it more efficient to just raptor farm or ecto farm and use your revenue from that to buy dust from a merchant?

If what you need is dust.... one of the best places for it was in a thread right below yours:
Here
Out of the Temple of Ages, run to where the Fog Nightmares are, the green circle.
The shadowy remnants turn into dust as well. You might want to save them fro Wintersday. They are one of the collectors items you can use then.
You can also farm it with a warrior. I do not kill the boss, so Pain Inverter can be replaced. I am sure the build can be tweaked. A run takes about 15 minutes.

Enjoy!

Wow, no one mentioned Gates of Kryta yet? Wow. Okay I'll do it!
Try the Gates' of Kryta run. There's many a post about it, and many a build that you could use to solo it. I used to use a 55 Mo/D back when I did it last. It's been quite a few months since I've even bothered to load up my monk though.
I think it was this one: [Monk Undead;Owok4oPLktiT94uyeNIrR9h8AgA]
I got alot, ALOT of dust from those runs. At one point I must have had 20 - 30 stacks. Just make sure that you don't stop the run after you go around the back of that house with the fence. Most will stop after they kill all the dead that spawn there. I keep going west (I think it was?) and then head north until you get to the random boss.
