Jerneh Nightbringer Farm
Can someone provide a rough estimate as to how many runs it takes to farm the Nightbringer from Jerneh Nightbringer? (even a range such as 15-25 runs or something similar would be helpful, as long as it is accurate.)
I am looking to see about what the odds are, 1/10? 3/20?
Thanks In Advance

I killed him about 25 times with a full H/H party, without flagging them away, and I got his spear three times.
Maybe I'm lucky.
My bad, thought you were talking about that Darksong guy

^Sure it's the same guy? The Nightbringer is a Death staff.
I tried 10 times to get it in a full party and never did so I just gave up and made something similar for my MM hero.

As with all greens no one can give you a spot on nuber or even close to one. The algorithm is simply not known in any way to be able to estimate that. I went out there a few weeks ago killed the dam thing 30-40 times Solo and didn't get one. When NF first came out and she was in a differant spot i killed her 5 times and got 2. Its not predictable.

I see...
So there is really no way to determine the chance for the drop... Completely random algorithm? I have heard people mentioning solo farming and flagging heroes/henchmen, taking a full party v.s. not etc. What is the difference? Do you have better chances for drops solo or is it just a better gold piece yield?

Greens are random,will take 1-852runs.
You have better chance for drops period when solo, heroes take there fair share of the drop % just like a normal person.

heroes and hench take drop percentage, so solo would i guess be more effective, loot scaling does not affect green items though, i've seen screens (never my own experience) where a solo person has gotten 2 drops of the same green at once.

Heroes and henchmen don't take any drops when you flag them out of compass range, but gold will still be divided. If taking H/H gets you to the boss quicker, then do that, and flag them away. If their names are gray in the party window, they don't get drops assigned. If H/H doesn't save you time getting to the boss, there's no point taking them. Either way, you want to kill the boss solo.
No idea on the drop chance, though.

take a full party and clear out everyone BUT the boss and then loose aggro, flag your heros/hench far away so they are grayed out on your party menu and then solo the boss.
an assassin can probably solo him pretty easy, disease loose like the biggest problem so hp regen helps or you can even try 55, spoil victor build on him. he shouldnt be too tough, killing him without heros/hench is your best bet to get the green to drop for you.
gl and i hope you get one soon!

actually, he's kinda hard to solo with a perma sin, because he does, I think, 115 dmg with vile touch. u need some strong healing/regen to counter that.
