600/smite/famine can 3man foundry and city - there are plenty of guides posted on this forum and others for that run.
A obflesh visage or shadow form sliver ele can farm nearly every group in the city solo.
And I believe a perma sin can solo city, although its a little tricky.
Veil I don't think there are any solo builds for, except that you can get the first pops stuck on the npcs and hex them to death solo.

Iirc a 600 with SS can solo the beginning of vale, and gloom parts of gloom can be solod with shadowform.
As sacratus said 600/famine/smite can do foundry & city. And I dont think theres a less then full party build that can clear veil or gloom. Oh and finally, I dont think a shadow form ele can do city anymore since the nerfs but I may be wrong.

permasin with sliver + a bonder can do all of gloom and city.
2-3 trappers can get a long way in veil, i've seen a 600/SS team do parts of veil in NM aswell.

You can solo the first wave of the "Breaching the Stygian Veil" quest and sometimes the second as a trapper. You can defeat all the waves, and keep all the drops, as player + hero. Guide is in the sticky, from yours truly, or you can click here.
Defeating all six waves in the first part of the quest usually yields an average of 2-3 gems, and it takes ~35-45 minutes(for me) to trap it. First 2 waves can be done in less than 10 minutes, but a hero with a res is recommended for wave 2.
