Destroyer Cores
I'm an E/Me and I know how to farm destroyer cores, and I have a build. I usually do Hardmode and this is my build. [Glyph of Swiftness] [Obsidian Flesh] [Stoneflesh Aura] [Sliver Armor] [Armor of Earth] [Aura of Restoration] [Mantra of Earth] [Stone Striker] (OgVEMIWJz5I91G8QaRp4ruVNAA)
I was wandering what variants could be made to make it run any faster. I have all campaigns and all skills available for use. Also, does Hardmode make more cores drop or not, I couldn't tell

Unfortunately alot of the survivability of that build is reliant upon a majority of those skills, so, deviating away from them is asking to get hurt...in hm at least, in nm you can most definitely drop out resto for radiation.
That restriction was always a problem when i put together the e/me and e/mo farming destroyers builds for glints, Thats why I was so much happier when someone else came up with the sin build for doing it, it's magnificent.

Dont go HM its pointless really unless you are trying to get gold drops.
Drop Armor of Earth and Aura of Resto and bring [[Arcane Echo] and [[Alkar's Alchemical Acid]
you can echo either the acid or sliver it doesnt really matter it goes fast either way and be careful on who you use Acid on, dont use it on the rits, their [[Vengeful Weapon] can severely hurt you.
Hope that helps

From pre-nerf d-core farming, with VwK, I think HM was awesome because you would occasionally get a black dye drop and many white dye drops. But if you are only going for d-core, NM is good if not better actually since I recall getting 1 or 2 more d-cores per run through NM. Though I got an average of 3 golds per run before the nerf =)

I do this run with both my ele and assassin and I don't think the assassin run is all that much quicker. However I will say that it is tons easier to do. I usually just do it on my assassin since it sooooooo easy. You could also try the ebon battle standard of honor for more damage or by ural hammer, both are good buff for sliver, but only in NM, it will not work in HM with your current build.
You do not get more cores in HM you only have the chance of getting tomes and more gold drops. If your only in it for cores then just go NM.

I used the above monk build except with Ebon Standard of Honor instead of Alkar's - I figured less chance of a Vengeful Weapon hit back. Both work fine, just make sure to not cast Balth Spirit on the dragon instead of yourself :P
It works very, very well in HM. Didn't know there was a W/Rt build that still was suitable for HM, that's neat.

Not sure I'm doing this right - used my standard A/E sliver raptor build. Did HM a few times, runs take ~8 minutes total before I give up (~4-5 left). Drops seem low - half the runs net 1-3 cores and 1-2 golds, other half net nada (approx 6-12 misc white/etc vendor trash). Did it in NM, runs take ~6.5 minutes, core drop rate about same, no golds tho...
Seemed to take awful long for mediocre drops, but something to change things up, I guess. They don't seem to scatter, so maybe some AOE build might work (also seems easy to lock them up against wall on their left)...

It is very odd that they do not scatter from aoe in this place, i thought it was either a bug or something to do with them floating about?, maybe they forgot to make destroyers flee from aoe easier to farm i guess.
Drops are perfect for me in that place though, steady farming with a slow but consistant gold/core drop rate, couldnt ask for more Although it does get a little boring but what farming place doesnt...

Compared to the setup time, the mobs melt extremely fast in NM, hitting you pretty hard with loot scaling.
I'd rather run HM with this sort of build, you will probably get a few more cores/hour and definitely other things of value.

imo, HM does not make more coes drop, it just makes more gold drops drop. When i farm cores i just do it in NM for speed. They are lower level, have less armor and die quicker. Drop arua of resto for aftershock or something like that for the last couple foes to speed it up.
Anyway, its all up to personal preferance anyway but i thought that was the fastest.
