In general anyone can look at it this way:
Q: "What is the fastest farming area and method to get [place holiday drop item here] this weekend?"
A: Raptors or Vaettirs (this answer will apply to all the rest of the holiday drop items for the rest of the year)

Well said, im sick of seeing these threads too. Its always gonna be the same two places unless one if nerfed, or its a continent-only holiday drop.
But im gonna make a pre searing toon just to see how it fairs up against the whole kegnuking.

Everyone knows this game is 4 years old and we haven't had anything new to do since EotN was released in August of 2007. So 20 some months ago almost pushing 2 years with no new content and GW2 announce to come in 2011+
They know that destroying something that is at least keeping some players playing the game.
As for the repeated question of event item farming answer is always raptors or kegging, and there is always people saying if SF doesn't get a nerf.

Zidane, I wish that ANET had said they would not touch SF anymore, here is what they said on it:
After repeated adjustments to both the skill and the Underworld, Shadow Form continues to dominate PvE farming. All the adjustments we have made to this style of farming have aimed to slow players down but not eliminate it as a viable farming option. We recognize the fact that farming with Shadow Form-based builds can be really fun, so we have not resorted to breaking the ability to keep Shadow Form up permanently. However, we continue to be uncomfortable with the speed in which players are able to complete various popular farming runs. We have decided to try one last time to scale down the effectiveness of Shadow Form while still allowing it to be maintained permanently. /end quote
Sounds like ANET left the door open...So if they decide that it still allows completion of various farming runs too quickly, then they will make it so there is no possibility for maintaining it on a permanent basis.
At OP; If you decide not to do the farming yourself and you have some extra cash you are way better off buying from people, keep an eye out for people selling low and take advantage of deals.

Hate to say this but its been proved that not only a sin can keg farm - proof is in the farming post by A Simple Farmer and getting survivor - but by using 3 bonders which itself could be done by 4 human team.
Personally i dont see gw dominated by sins - if it was then what do sin haters use ? sins ?
As for answer to main question - 600/smite hm undead , 55 monk undead , hell theres that many places and professions you could probably make a top 100.
Raptors via ele,sin,war,derv,600/smite team ( yes it can be done ) , snowmen and just a few examples.
Myself - i will probably be doin 55 or 600/smite in bergen/gates of kryta or caromi farming this weekend - why settle just for event drops when certain trophies can be stockpiled for halloween/xmas, specially when theres ppl now selling stacks of orr embs for around 10k.
Possibly a 1/3 of gw players will be doin kegs and rest will be doin their usual things - uwsc and dungeons etc

He means - you cant carry items which implies weapons etc so no using enchanting weapon for perma sf .
In other words you can have sf cast but to recast you`d need to let it run out then recast.
Kegs still require you to have enchanting weapon to maintain sf and you have to make sure u drop keg before casting sf.
Ppl could ask you the same question - And how do you think keg-farming is done ? lol

I've mentioned this a few times in the past about these weekend farms. It's THE SAME ANSWER EVERY EVENT people. Wake up.
