Using a grail would not be cost effective, would it?

Ok,
Tryed Urgoz. We got a fair way through but took ages and isnt really worthwhile.
IDS is easy, as it always has been, got mine on 2nd kill of 1st run then gave up cos I only wanted to test the build

Ye, most solo-farming isn't worth the (at least my) time (or even bringing it in a group ). If Anet really wanted to please solo!-farmers they should have removed loot scaling imo, but they're probably still afraid of bots, even after those updates in EULA etc.
|
Yup, seems someone else posted similar build on pvx, actually a few people tried to post them there, but of course they delete similar builds. I actually figured it out on my own though within the first 10 minutes of update, but maybe there were a few that knew about the update on SF before it happened. There were already Sliver builds using Air of Superiority, but none actually use Glyph of Swiftness until yesterday. Definately fun to try something a bit different... I been farmin alot of places already. Can only wonder what is next to change, full 10 sec spirit bond without hit limit? that would be nice.

Grails only cost 250 gold, 50 dust, and 50 iron. you clear just chamber and smites, you can make the cash back easily, salvage your demonic remains and phantom residues and you'll have your dust back and you're almost sure to get a few salvageable swords/axes/hammers... not to mention the extra ectos you could get if you can now kill all aatxes in the labyrinth, smites in ice wastes, dream riders and mindblades in the chaos plains, threshers and collectors in the bone pits, and careful planning or [ward of sta] can let you do all terrorwebs and blacknesses in the pools. you'd probably need 2 or even 3 grails for this until you get familiar with it, but still very cost effective.

What's there to come out? I think people like 5 hours after buffs were announced noticed the Glyph of Swiftness + DP + Shadow Form megalolwtfsynergy. Although most of them hoped E/A can maintain it too, but it turned out that at 12 shadow arts it's only 25 seconds. Enough for Mesmers and Assassin's to maintain, not enough for Elementalists.

You can still use Glyph of Swiftness for Sliver Armor while SF still has long recharge, just make sure Glyph is recharged by time you renew SF. Its good to keep Glyph of Lesser energy, it can keep you energy flowing nicely even if you get below 10 energy at times... can still manage to get your energy full from regen. Cast Glyph of Swiftness about 8-10 seconds before you use Shadowform... after Shadowform use Glyph of Lesser Energy, then Ebon Battle Standard of Honor, then Glyph of Swiftness again, then hit Sliver, then Air of Superiority. Just don't do it all the time, as it can use up 5 more energy... plus you sometimes get recharge on Sliver anyways from Air of Superiority. 10 second recharge on Glyph of Swiftness gives you plenty of time to use it for Sliver while SF is recharging...

personally, I mainly use Sliver Form for Elite Tome farming and for that E/A with 18 Earth and 12 Shadow is more then enough to farm any boss. I suppose perma SF is better for farming mobs like raptors and the like, but if you just want to take out a boss E/A is still fine, in fact it might be a little bit better.
One thing I didn't know which I have to thanks this thread for, is the Vanguard Battle Standard. That works much better then Intensity...shame my ele hasn't gotten beyond the Eye though and farming's Vanguard Rep is a pain.

Tried this on chaos plains and it worked a treat just took ages to clear the plains. Is there a quicker set of damage dealing skills that can be used for clearing the plains?
Thanks

Farming's purpose is income. If you're using consumables then your income is 'slightly' decreased.

Rune/Dye/Material traders can run out of their goods if too many people buy them.
Best idea is to just close the window and open it again until they have another, and hope you're the first person to click to buy it.
