Thanks to OP.

Just made a sin, got him ready and tried yesterday. Works great although 6-12 ecto seem exagerated. I usually get 2-4. Best run was 6e and 2 scrolls.

Haha. As I have an utterly atrocious habit of letting my eyes drift away from current enchantments, and alt tabbing to read stuff whilst farming, I wasted 15k on failing.

Then I dropped the habits for one more run and managed to get 7 ectos which, despite my failures, was still profitable. XD Then managed to get another 7 from another run.. and a half. I alt tabbed and read junk again for one run. *pouts*

Thanks for the builds - use the MoR + Lava Font one. Works well.

7 consistently is nice. I also use LF+MoR. Takes about 25 minutes as try to agro at least 3 riders at a time. I know this has been discussed a million times but does it seem better to aggro 1 or 2 riders at a time?

I'm currently using the Pheonix+Inferno build, Should I switch to Lava Font and Rodgort?

Are there any differences in drop rates between the two?

The more the merrier.

If you go 4 at start, 3 at that shrine and 2 at the end then you can do the run in about 20 min. But if you aggro them in smaller groups then it'd probably be 30 min. So if you want to complete the run faster then aggro more

I haven't used the other yet. Reading through the thread, I think the only difference is the MoR + Lava Font build kills Aatxes with Viper's Defense. I have Dash in its place, though I managed to kill a few Aatxes without Viper's Defense. I usually ignore them however, as it slows down the run.

Managed to get almost 85k from three successful runs - even one ecto from a run makes up for the money spent getting into the UW.

(Why couldn't it be called something else? The anagram for Viper's Defense is nashty. XD)

lol. i tried 5 times and couldnt figure out the route then i figured it out the 6th time and got to the riders where it was smooth sailing, i use the MoR + Lava version, however first time i went 1 rider at a time and it took me an hour lol :P. but time well spent imo, i got 7 ectos and 4 gold drops.

You don't need Viper's Defense to kill Aatxe and it only takes 2 minutes to kill them. Kill 6 of them with the Grasping and it only adds a minute onto your opening room. Not that bad.

i used the pheonix + inferno build for awhile. today i switched to MoR + Font. font is much faster(3 minish) and less stressful on energy. with P + I you have to use P 3 times and I 2 times to kill the spectrles and wait for them to recharge while doing that. with MoR + font u just cast MoR once and wait for the 5 sec of font(or 2.5 if u have HSR

) and use font 3 times to get the spectrels. only thing is with this u have to keep ur health low or enemies scatter...which is very easy to keep health low if u have a vamp. i highly recommend this over P+I. i still use dash and im able to kill the aatxes

Energy wise:
PHEONIX(P) + INFERNO(I)(3xP(15)-18from enrgy return from FA) +(2xI(10)-8from energy return of FA)=39 - 15 from GOLE (20-5 to cast) = 24 energy total

MARK OF RODGORT(MoR) + LAVA FONT(1xMoR(15)-6fromFA) +(3xFont(10)-12FromFA)=27-15 from GOLE(20-5to cast) =12 energy total

now of course these dont apply recharge time,energy regen but u can see the difference.

I've noticed I'm getting way better drops with the Phoenix/Inferno build, that is because Mark of Rodgort/Lava Font kills all the enemies at once, and when I use the Phoenix/Inferno combo a few times I get the mindblades at around 10 hp, which is perfect for wanding them to death, usually resulting me in more drops

Not so long time a go there was a topic(can't find the thread though), where 2 people tryed "syncing" their runs. Which means with my crappy english that they tryed to enter same zone at same time. Other was killing stuff one by one and other was killing many at same time (aoe) and their loot was 90% same. (that 10% error in same loot was/is simply there because it's hard to zone exactly at same time)

So i do say that the loot is generated when you zone, no matter how you kill your stuff, you will get your items.

My last run time was 35 minutes, which has been my normal time. After watching your videos, I just did a 22 minute run, without a single problem. If I wasn't so greedy, I'd give you ecto as presents. For now you'll have to accept this big <3

Killing them one by one definitly gives more drops (for me anyway). But considering that ecto droprate is not affected and that is what you are really farming for then you may as well kill them all at once.

[glyph of swiftness] = reduced recharge by 25%
essence = reduced recharge by 25%

So yeah, you could but then that would mean you're making less of a return in the long run.
