If you manage your health right, yes. Also it can kill attaxes.

IMO, yes. Just be sure to have your health below 100 once you hit the plains by allowing SF to run out in a safe area and maintaining the low health with a vampiric weapon. That way they won't scatter.

I don't select enemies when I attack, I spam F. And that's my entire point, the Aatxes are the only ones who need a second application of MoR which is why I use GoLE as my timer.

Nice thread and guide, thanks for the vampiric tip bloodgoat this dramatically sped up the run . Just be careful if you make a vampiric melee weapon the aataxe have repost so auto attack is very bad for your health. Learn't this the hard way LOLZ.

This is not fun at all. So I give up at the third tried last night.
and I also reduce my health by let SF expired. then recast again with combo, to the mobs and keep wanding them. this your health will not regen. Keep SF up and enjoy the mascared!

I dont get why you post pictures of you getting ecto, if we all did that then this thread would take ages to load.
Also I am pretty sure it has been stated about 500 times that dropping your health to 50 keeps them aggroed to you.
Also why do you use dark escape? I honestly think that is the worst runnign move out of the other ones you could use.

For those who had trouble with the charged blackness, it is actually possible to outrun them. I've done it, not the funnest things though.

I tried to run with [Ebon Vanguard Assassin Support] instead a running skill to disarm the Behemoth traps. Looks like it works pretty well. Just send the poor assassin to the behemoth, and when the traps triggered, walk trough the path.

to trigger traps without taking dmg(IF you need to do this) run close to the trap then run back, it takes like a good second for the traps to actually go off.

That's what i did on my first 3 runs as i didn't know the running route that well... in fact, on my first run i did do it totally wrong, but still managed it
I pretty much aggroed all possiple blackness groups there are :P

just found out how to do perma-shadow with my E/A (yes, 100% perma E/A. i was running around northern shiverpeaks in HM). just going to try this run tonight... it should go faster with E/A as i have more energy and more "Fire" power... considering my character name and all...
oh, and i don;t need Sup Sin runes which are now more expensive than ecto's themselves... if you can buy sup runes.

Yep, and if you've taken too long (for those that aren't used to the route through the mountains) and have the charged blacknesses waiting for you by the entrance to the plains, just pull them with a bow and run around the path to the other side. Easy to do with any speed boost.

Jebus, the main point of the build is to get to the Chaos plains and kill the mindblades. Compared to that, Aaxtes are not at all important.
If you really, really want to kill them, though, run Mark of Rodgort and Lava font instead of phoenix and inferno. Note that they will die alot slower than the squidy things(name escapes me atm).
