If you mean the ones after the first group of behemots, just wait like 10 seconds before the behemoths. The blacknesses will then go their way and you can go yours. When going up the mountains then dont take the corner where the blacknesses are camped (on your left), take the tunnel instead (on your right). This will minimize your chance of encountering blacknesses on your way.

I believe that only happens when you get up the mountain too slow.

I use roughly the same build (
Prophecies Lava Font
* 4
* 2
* 10
Spell. For 5 seconds, foes adjacent to the location where this Spell was cast are struck for 5..41..53 fire damage. (Attrib: Fire Magic)
+
Prophecies Mark of Rodgort
* 15
* 1
* 15
Hex Spell. Target foe and all nearby foes are Hexed with Mark of Rodgort. For 10..30..37 seconds, whenever each foe is struck for fire damage, that foe is set on fire for 1..3..4 seconds. (Attrib: Fire Magic)
for damage). works good for me. did a 30 min run today (full chaos planes clear)
is quite nice nice

Thanks

As far as I can tell, it is because this requires no title track skills therefore is runnable by anyone, and is also faster as far as I can tell - most people are reporting 30 min runs, the mesmer build takes about 40-50 mins.

in NM the a/me version is about 5 min slower with ether nightmare and cry of pain. however, if you add wandering eye, or clumsiness, i'd imagine that the time is probably more or less the same.

Actually, if you get experienced with this build the run takes about 20 mins. It also doesnt require the timing of Echo in the other build.

I put a map in my first post with a map of the aggros. Make sure you have a longbow for this.

Not with SF, as it won't last long enough with only 12 shadow arts.

I do consistant 25 min runs in NM and I never have anything run away (Not even the riders).
You don't need to get them next to a wall either.
It's all down to the timing of skills.
[Build=OwZSo4PPSfekODZgLCG3iJI]
I use that build and agro riders into a ball then do skills in following order whilst keeping up SF.
4,5,6,7,7,7,4,6,6,7
That should kill the riders without them running. I you do another 7 between the 6's then they will scatter.
For the Mindblades I do the following.
4,5,6,7,7,7,4,6,7
This won't cause the Mindblades to scatter at all.
Hope this helps and can speed up times a bit for people.
Oh and Seth got another 10e run today
So made 113e from this in less than a week.

Damn I would gladly make an Assassin only to do this run... but the question is: will Anet nerf it in the upcoming week?

Doesn't matter. If they nerf it back to what it was before it's still possible to maintain Shadow Form permanently. End of story.

Thats what I did last week, made a sin to do this run. I now have upwards of 75 ecto from the run, and i'm not farming more than a few runs a night.
My advice is to make a sin now, and get it leveled up and at toa asap. Equip isn't hard to come by, and you can have it done in under 12 hours (at least thats what it took me). Even if its nerfed in the next month, it takes just a handful of runs to start making profit, counting the time it took to make the char.
If you need a maj shadow rune and the trader is still sold out of them as well as superiors, you can leave me a PM, as I have the one I took off my mask in exchange for the sup, and I'd happily sell it to you for a good price.

exactly, with a/me i'm doing 22-25 min runs in NM, and 27-30 min run sin HM, the killing speed isn't that much slower, the 2 sec echo is almost more of a limiting factor than the killing speed since it prevents you from walking. though i admit the build is much easier/safer w/o the echo timing. i really want to get eotn and try out this build =(

What's a good way to kill the dreamriders quicker, i can never kill them without them scattering and then spreading apart.

Thanks for this build!
And the run video.
And to the person who suggested keeping under 100hp that they won't scatter. Runs go much quicker now and get to kill those Bladed Aatxes. I've tested this "trick" on HM, they still scatter unfortunately. Personally I run the MoR, Lava Font and Flame Djinn variant. I tried using Phoenix instead of MoR, didn't feel the damage output was as good. Maybe Phoenix and Inferno instead of Mor / LF would do better.
Sometimes, the occasional Behemoth spawn ruins the run but definitely profits outweight the costs... I wonder for how long, if ectos will somehow stabilize and still be at a decent price. I mean, there were many farm builds out there before this one, albeit not as quick and profitable.
My only question is has anyone tried other areas? After the horsemen, I kill the small group of terrorwebs and avoid the charged darknesses patrol. If there was a way to deal with them, that would be another nice area to farm ectos.
Do you guys do any of the quests, restoring the monuments?
I've also tried farming the dead collectors and threshers but I've been running under 100hp, if I don't manage to kill them together, then it could eventually get me killed. Reason is that one of the threshers who raised a minion dies, minion is no longer linked, a thresher casts suffering on it, I will also get it even if I have SF on. If I go over 100hp, I can't seem to get them stuck in one place.
