tried the contagion build. WAY too much damage to handle, you get wiped in about 5-10 secs, because it doesn't trigger SoA or Spirit bond, so it's unavoidable damage, as well as degen from burning etc.

i also gave the necro build a go, Contagion is WAY too suicidal. Vamp Spirit is just annoying, as the additional energy cost isn't worth it imo. i'd just run with 14 Soul Reaping (to minimize downtime) and either Mark of Protection vs. enchantedspikes or your own 5 second spellbreaker. i've cleared it a few times with 6 second spellbreaker, works like a charm, and i always have full energy, ty soul reaping.

Aw, that's too bad about contagion, was hoping that would work. I like the idea of the 5 second SB, for the weaker builds I'll probably do the same, nj.

Ran it last-night as my Warrior,
Here's a couple screenshots, it was a blast. Died a couple times. After reading Fuzzy Taco's comment about SB, I shoulda brought it would've saved me a couple times.
And Yes the Flower Crown is INTEGRAL to the build.

Tried it last night with my Mes, got to level 2 before I had to quit. Tried again today and got interrupted a few times, no problem there. But I have a problem of missing my Spirit Bonds and boom, dead. Did end up with a funny 666 hp after that. xD
I'll go and practice some more and return with a screenie of her at the end chest. =P

Try the new build, you'll get more energy and you'll be less likely to be interrupted. It's safer so easier, but handles smaller groups.

I don't think so, shards of Orr is very difficult. It's possible, but you'd have to specialize the character and build. From what I rememeber there's a lot of interupts and knockdowns. I used my monk and ogden.

This might or will work in Ooze Pit. Just need a Runner to get there.

Ooze pit is fun (lot's of knockdowns). No need for a runner; get the quest then goto Long Eye's. Head east toward the helmet, kill the lashers, cross the bridge to the shrine, head south. Next to a shrine is a couple groups of Char, you can run by them if you time it. The entrance is right next to the shrine (run through agro after shrine to entrance). It takes about 5-10 to run there, and 35+ to complete dungeon. I used my Rt and used aura of stability on ogden.
However, after the mystic regen Nerf I've been redoing the 600De and I think the Dervish would be a better bet (no dazed).

dumb question but, is NM a good way to learn this build, or is it best just to jump into HM?

for those having problems fighting the spiders without mesmer secondary - walk backwards away from the spiders and re-cast spirit bond as the spiders move - they dont interupt you that way. (cant move and shoot can they)

I've done the 2 monk version in shards of orr - you need fleeting stability on the tank or you are deader than tank tops.
A much more fun way to do shards of orr is 8 monks.
4 arcane echo ray of judgement w/mindbender
and 4 sig judgement smiters. you just go right through non stop to the end, no problem.

as strange as at may seem, HM is easier in many cases becouse of the +50% attack speed making energy more manageble and killing your foes faster (before spellbreaker runs out) ofcourse this means you can also tank less monsters (12+) gonna be hard for the 1 sec cast time of SoA but that isn't a big problem, just aggro one group of enchanted weapons a time the rest should be fine

I have a problem. Since the festival Ogden takes damage whenever I take damage. First I figured I had screwed up aggro.. but there was no one near Ogden. Then I thought it was the build (for some reason unknown to man) and went in with the original Me/Mo version, same result. Is it me or some hidden skill update or a bug?
Nevertheless, before the weekend updates I was succesful with the original Me/Mo build.
(notice Ogden's dp? He ran wild when I released him and he ran back to the firespitters.. every single time x) )

Since I'm a Sin, I'd like to know if the Assassin version of this build would work in the Shards. I know that for Completing the dungeon, the way you said is perfect, (I play Assacaster there (lol me)), but for farming this would be nice to know
