Might this aswell work wit a perma sin/ perma ele?
Dont see why not but i dont know to much about this area so i might be wrong.
Perma might (if it works) be faster than ur build since u can throw in some buffs for sliver armor.
Is this farm profitable anymore anyway?
What gems drop there (gems do drop there right?) and for how much can one sell them atm?
Sry if my language is bad im not native english but i hope u understand what im trying to say anyway

The dervishes have PBAOE so you would need a hero to survive, there are builds for this on pvxwiki. This, however, is the only build (atm) thats viable solo for elementalists.
The farm is as profitable now as it always have been, you get occational gems and lots of golds.
Margonite gems drop from Margonites (obviosly)

Now for the good stuff.
HM of course
r4 Norn is required.

on another note you can achieve the same results with a 105 hp monk subbed mesmer with both visages, this way you can abuse quickening zephyr for Shield of absorption/spellbreaker and use the margonite's famine as your dmg output. It can possibly done in hm as well, usually 1-3 gems per 2-3 runs. Props on the build btw.

Well, while this build is novel, it really isn't cost effective for the time it takes. There are faster farms, but it's not a bad way to solo to get LB points.

There's still one thing bugging me about this build: On your first page you say that you need rank 4 Norn. The peron that posted this on PvXWiki also stated that rank 4 Norn is needed. However, since it lasts for 16 seconds (and recharges in 15 with QZ up) at rank 1 Norn, this statement is a bit pointless, no? Since at the time you get it, you can cycle it constantly.

well easy to awnser why, the guide was written b4 the update on pve only skills to make them more effective@ lower ranks. So thats why you now only need r1 instead of r4.

The person who posted this on pvx wasnt me. The person who posted there basicly copy pasted my guide there.
I made this when r4 was needed, I'll change to r1 in the main guide..

I am aware of that, and had no intention of implying that it was so (however, the person who posted it on PvXWiki is guilty of laziness, since he/she posted it after the update (unless I'm mistaken), and didn't check ).

What do u mean by 2-3 runs.
What is a run for u? Killing like the first 3 gruops at the start or giong on after that and kill the other groups (which imo is hard since u need to go out of the spirits range for that).
I killed the first groups 15 times and got only 1 gem and 1 goldie.
The groups never dropped more than 2 items in 1 runs - mostly white crap.
So to me the run is not profitable at all.
Or maybe its just really bad luck.
Let me know about ur drops.
Nice build and guide anyway

If you use EBSoH instead of Frigid Armor it takes apx 5 minutes to clear everything outside of the fort. The spirit part is a bit tricky yes, you have to time the patrolling group that walks outside the gates of the fort.

Great stuff, yea i took EBSoH instead of Frigid Armor and it went faster, not as smoothly but faster. Really great alternate for people that arent scared of their health dropping.
Thanks Kottis

I tried this about a year ago, and I wasn't very good at it. I'm going to give it another shot, now that I'm generally significantly better at the game.

Read the main guide properly. You need 20% ench and +4 for earth magic.
