UWSC A/D Vale: Shadow Refuge v.s. Way of Perfection
Placed in this subforum since it's about a farming build -- if it would be a better fit in the Assassin class discussion, feel free to move this thread.
Anyways, for an A/D scythe Vale build, which selfheal do you prefer and why?
I find Way of Perfection to be somewhat risky since it relies on critting and balling up the ghosts correctly (sometimes they glitch and scatter, especially with the last group up on the hill) ... others say that Shadow Refuge is annoying because you have to recast it every 8 seconds, but on the other hand it has a 100+ hard heal at the end if you're attacking (and chances are, you will be attacking.) An unlucky nightmare spawn will strip you of your WoP for several 10's of seconds, but because of Refuge's short recharge/duration you can have it up again very quickly.
Also, I don't need the "if you're good then it doesn't matter" type comments. Even if you're good you probably have some sort of preference! I'm also not interested in /N builds because of how slow they are (and I dislike poop green HP bars.)

I use neither, this is what i use. If the necro you get is decent you don't need too much healing.

But, if you were to use one of those 2, WoP is much better with A/D.

i use both just in case instead of mystic and urals hammer. though i think i'll give that build a try. must hit for crazzzzzy damage. with the 3 self heals i think you can solo vale, not that you'd want to. but in any case, a/d is faster than a/n for sure. though i saw some guy as a/e with ebon vanguard assassin, flame djinn, sliver, and stoneflesh and said it was his favourite

Use both;
deadly + sf + mystic sweep + Optional + refuge + WoP + AoHM + WoTM
It's a fairly reliable bar, put in either Asuran Scan if you're mediocre, Ebon Ward if you're good, or Death's Charge if you're laggy

what's this asuran scan if you're mediocre business! i'm pretty sure you hit higher with asuran scan than the ward. though if you balled all 3, it might be a different story

I use the same bar as aga if i have a decent necro. If the nec is bad enough to warrant a selfheal (other than DC), I bring WoP.

Are you seriously sitting there stroking your epeen right now? Are you labeling yourself as "good" because you don't use Asuran Scan? Who the @#$^ makes up these childish rules to determine whether a player is good or not? You?? How/where do you find the time in your day to even care?
How do you pass judgment on a players ability based on 1 skill? (which isn't a bad skill to begin with)
Anyways, that's what I gathered from your post. Perhaps it's not intended to be the way you wrote it up but nonetheless that's how it comes across.

chill out dude...
He's just saying EBSoH is better if you can ball them up properly. Anyway, I think EBSoH is better because it adds a decent amount of damage from spirits at the beginning, which is the most crucial part.
