Would you please show us where it says you're not suposed to do that?
Cuz if he would have started a new thread to ask his question the answer
most likely would have been "There's already a thread about it!", right?

Well of course theres no real rule, but usually when someone res's stuff a thread necro picture and lolcats ensue.
I also thought the search button displays old threads? Im probably mistaken. But what I ment was its usually "if its not on page 1-2 you probably shouldnt post in it". If the search doesn't display old threads, then you're right. Also Pm'ing the author would probably have been a better option though.
No hard feelings though, it really can go either way.
EDIT: Just re-read the OP and an answer to the question wasn't stated, so it was ok to res it. Though pm'ing the poster probably wouldve been better (considering how long the thread has been dead) theres really no problem. Thread res'ing (even if unjustified) is no big deal anyway.

for the mesmer build how many groups do you aggro in the cave? all at once?
also instead of the glyph of ele power have you thought about using Signet of illusions? That way you could get 16 illusion out of it and rest into fc and inspiration...just trying to figure out how to get air of superiority in there too

I actually have put together a build similar for a Mesmer/Ele and it works great. Still can do 3 minute runs.... I think I will be posting a small guide for it, so people with mesmers can farm raptors also. Not need for using Earth Magic attributes at all for Mesmer...

People cannot refer newcomers to the search function more or less drastically over and over again, and then, when others actually use that function and post in a thread found, start calling them 'thread necros' and tell them to stop doing so.
That is ridiculous and a no-win-situation for practically everybody who has a question.

Look @ post dates, old old news.
Besides, pm'ing the OP or starting a new thread are both very acceptable alternatives, as is posting in this thread. This isnt srs bisnis.

It wasn't even a 1 month res, its allowed. Chill, In fact I applaud IAttackU for not starting a whole new thread for his question. Also this is the farming section, we don't do lolcats here, thats more a riverside thing.

Search the entire farming forum, you won't find any.
Yes I know you meant those posts, they weren't even 30 day bumps. Therefore it was not them in the wrong but you.

Don't mean to res an old thread but I have a question.
I recently got GWEN and am playing through it on my monk that I usually 55 on. I was wondering if this spot is 55able? Or should I just go through EoTn on my Ele?

Check this topic.
And please don't hesitate to leave questions or comments in there. As long as this forum keeps being haunted by new threads that are either perfectly useless or infringe upon forum rules, we actually *need* people to resurrect the good old threads with builds still viable

nice build. btw [wild st] is blockable. not only that but it's an off-hand attack, which requires the lead attack to hit also. [sliver] at 16 EM gives you a 52% block chance so you have better than 50/50 chance that one of them will miss.

How is it blockable when the skill notes say "This attack cannot be blocked".

[[Wild Strike] did not originally have the unblockable clause, but was updated to increase it's viability. It was kind of silly having an offhand attack to remove a stance when the stance you want to remove blocked it. It was buffed to be more in line with [[Wild Blow] and [[Wild Throw].

has anyone tried running with [churning earth] as this is a HM farm, all foes will be moving faster than normal and will be knowcked down as soon as they try to move away from the AoE.
The downside is teh 3 second cast time, but the upturn is that this is another earth damage dealer for which you will have max att points in the line.
