Hm, maybe you can try the VwK spiritbonder farming build, but the DarkFeather will still be problematic to kill, I think.

Yea, wail of doom makes that a place where a solo build has trouble(speaking totally in HM). Due to armor ignoring damage 55's won't work. Maybe an OS ele or a 600(but why dual it) could do it. I know you said rit but I was just throwin it out there.

What is the exact build you are using.
Armor of unfeeling and summon spirits should fix your problem as long as you aren't aggroing excessively (less damage, heal, and kiting).

Vampirism, Bloodsong, Pain, Signet of spirits, Shadowsong, Armor of unfeeling, Spiritleech aura and Painful bond. This i use for feather farm and for uw. Actually i can manage (barely) in Jaya hard mode, but i was looking for a more survivable build, `cause i get killed too often, mostly by necro hexes and touches.

Use summon spirits.
I never liked spiritleech aura. Try replacing it with a self-heal or a pve skill (YMLAD or EVAS).
Use a longbow to pull them to spirits and stay far back enough. Also a defensive set to switch to may help.

Perhaps going Rt/E and adding an AoE snare to your build might help. Snare them near the spirits and leg it to safety till one side of the other wins. Rinse n repeat.
However, if its feathers you are farming you are just going to slow down your rate of collection in HM. More xp and gold drops for sure, but if that's what you are after there are better farms you can do.

but feathers dropping in stacks of 25-35 in HM rather than 5-7 makes it worth while to find a better build...

This was my thought exactly. Most feathers come from salvaging feathered scalps, but if i can get feathers to drop in quantity of 19-25 instead of 4-7, then why not?

Craft farming is all about net profit. Sure in HM a tengu drops many more feathers but in all areas it takes FAR longer to farm due to the class mixtures in mobs. The only place where feather farming is best in HM is in Nahpui quarte because the tengu there have no collectible drop and therefore drop feathers far more often. Remember in HM or NM a scalp still becomes only 3-4 feathers after salvage. Stick to NM with practice the tengu outside seitung will drop 400 an hour on average.

A.Echo-Vengeful Was Khanhei-Vengeful Weapon-Soothing Memories-Mantra of Resolve-Physical Resistance
Can farm HM Tengu outside of LA, haven't tested in factions. NM(LA Tengu) requires only A.Echo-Vengeful Was Khanhei-Vengeful Weapon-Mantra of Resolve
EDIT: Confirmed NM Jaya Bluffs with just A.Echo - VwK - Vengeful Weapon. Clears in 10-15 mins with 80-100 Feathers total. Haven't tried in HM but if you still want to try it, it should work with some added skills.

Used to do it with perma-PnH 600 which made the WoD end within tenths of a second. Pretty awesome, too bad recharge is up so much.

What is trying to be said about hardmode is the following -
Yes feathers may drop more in hm but you can also get less feathers in hm as in hm you can get more cash/tomes etc.
nm you know has less items to drop than hm so in going hm you increase the item drop pool which can lessen what your actually after.
runs in nm are faster than hm - say 3 runs per hr in nm nets 1 stack feathers but in hm you may be 2 runs an hr and get under a stack.
People generally want speed and items rather than full on farming which takes longer in hm.
jaya bluffs is usually feather farmed nm , caromi outside la often is the least prefered farm - jaya is a lot easier and yields more feathers - as well as their scalps salv more than la caromi

Nahpui quarter can be solod in hard mode with a Vengeful was Khanei/Spirit Bond build. I haven't managed a full run yet (The furthest i've got is just past the turtle boss) but it normally takes 10-15 mins, getting around 150 feathers a run + celestial weapons, However the build cannot kill spirit lights in hard mode and i don't think it can kill the bosses either.

I've posted my build somewhere on this board before, on doing jaya in HM with spirits. I regularly clear it now, killing 160 in ~35 minutes - coming out with 150-300 feathers, 100-250 iron, 50-150 bone, 3-4k vendor trash, many golds, and 1-3 chests (and runes).
The trick I now use that has very good success, is to forget about [spirit siphon], [spiritleech aura] and [summon spirits]. Bring along [radiation field] instead, and [dust trap] makes a big difference in spirit longevity (AOE scatter plus blind, and decent AOE damage to boot). It works without the trap, but is a bit trickier, and then I'd suggest a run skill (or cupcakes/rock candies).
I drop the 3 (5 total) spirits and the trap, then lure the MOB. As the mob approaches, I armor the spirits. Once the majority of the MOB reaches the spirits and triggers the trap, I painful bond them (don't target necro runners!) and drop the radiation field. Next, I retreat just outside of aggro radius (heal/cleanse as needed), and prepare for the second and final trap/spirit drops. Half are dead by this point, and the other half die on the way... Can easily maintain killing 6-8 MOB groups every 2 minutes.
PS - I also kill the 2 oni spawns every time as well, and have gotten a couple nice daggers (do they ever drop swords?)...

Coney, that looks really impressive! Are there any substitute for radiation field, cause i don`t have that with my rit? Another trap perhaps?
