Yes it does, at least for me it does.
My warrior does the run itself and a leecher, I prefer a paragon, only uses his shout on me before entering he cave.
Try it yourself.

I can say with certainty that leechers have never increased my drops when raptor farming.

I don't know if leechers give more drops, but I can say for sure that they don't take any (until you meet some total noobie and that's rare), make zoning faster, sometimes make it less boring and by taking leechers you are helping them thus doing a good thing.

If it makes any difference at all, it's so small that's it's not noticable.
I've farmed Raptors A LOT - I made a character just for Raptor farming... and she now has about 50 million XP from doing only that. I know what drops I get per hour on average - solo, with hero, and with leechers. No noticable difference between them.
I've also leeched to get rep on some of my other characters, and again - I have not seen the runner get better drops on average, no matter how many leechers. If anything they get less, because they waste time gathering leechers in town instead of doing more runs.
Urban myth as far as I'm concerned.

Been asked many times before and same answers apply
its 50/50 to what answer is as anet wont state which is corrects -
1 opinion is leechers increase drops by being out of drop range and other is they dont affect.
Untill anet verifies its a question that will never be answered.
Btw does anyone else ever roflmao at the "professional leecher lfp" cries in rata sum - how many runs of leeching does it take to reach that uber leet status :P

I recorded data for with and without leechers: no difference between them. Leechers only end up slowing you down, you will resign before a leecher can zone unless they are really on the ball (rare), and then you have to wait for them to load before you go back out.

i just wanted to say i think i started the LF Pro leecher thing (im w/n) :P
always get like 20 pm's when i say it.
@Impulsion - its worth taking them as they can zone so you start right by portal in rata sum instead of the teleport spawnings.
and last, they dont appear to affect drops. they take gold when that drops but again thats rare. i havent collected any data, and only raptor farmed for event items, but i havent noticed any difference.

You can just zone into Riven Earth, then run back into Rata Sum. Then every time you resign, you're always back at the entrance.

I've done runs both with and without leechers, and the drop rates aren't affected at all.
The only thing that a leecher can do is increase your zoning speed if and only if they have a better ping than you do, otherwise, /resign is a much faster option.
If you get coins as a drop, you actually lose more than you gain from splitting it with your leechers iirc. I don't get that many gold coin drops and it's been a while since I bothered with leechers, so I might be incorrect on that point.

Leechers come out with u into the zone and take the bounty so that they benefit and get asuran points, but they stay far enough away so that they do not receive drops. Supposedly, this will increase ur drops. If you wish to have a reliable source of information on whether or not it is beneficial to you, I suggest you do personal testing.

Not for me, approximately same drop rates with/without leechers.
As far as faster rezoning with leechers, /resign is my friend, after a quick zone out/zone in of Rata Sum in the beginning of the first run.

yeh i seem(this is totally exsperimental, bear in mind) but whenever i bring at least 2 leechers i seem to get some kind of rare dyes the first 3~4 runs. By that i mean i usually get at least a red dye the first run, but usually it starts decreasing.(ie. i start getting blk dyes, then the next its white then red. then after that it doesnt matter much). thats ust my personal exsperience w/ raptor farming. I try to not do it as much as possible and do other things, so that i can get great drops when i do it. just a word to the wise ^^.

Ive never done the whole leechers thing and just went solo. But try this though, fill the rest of ur part with just henchmen and see how the drop compare with real leechers and just solo.

Loot scaling isn't really affected by how many people are in the party. ANet lied on that, it is dependant far more on rate of kill. Leechers are pointless and came about because of the lie ANet (Gaile) told about how loot scaling works.

No, leechers have no affect on your drops. Loot scale is based on the merchant value of your drops per time, which is in turn dependent upon rate of kill.

How exactly does a leecher enable faster zoning times?
Like Saph said, zone into Riven Earth, IMMEDIATELY zone back into Rata Sum. Then go do your farm. Bind /resign to a key so you don't have to type the entire string & you'll be right at the entrance to Riven Earth back in Rata Sum.
