just a thought,, Iam using the axe build, could it be efficient to replace Cleave with Whirling Axe? Takes 2 adrenaline, so u could spam it nicely, +21dmg with 16axe, cleave is 4adrenaline.
2 Whirling axes for the cost of one cleave?.
Cyclone and Whirling axe good combo? havent tried it yet.

GOOD, the wammo build is too fun and effective to be placed all the way back here, i really advice anyone that did the run few times and got it down, to try that wammo, it is much funner then w/me or w/xx

Im just wondering, would the run be more difficult as a Wa/Mo because you cant rely on stops like healing signet to heal you when you just escaped from skales and are at -8 hp degen with 150 hp left.

usually you can stop and wait for natural regen, or youll get a snarling driftwood aggro that healing hands can heal you

Or bring some Berserker's armour with no superior rune in it, and swap once you get by. (oops, added that to the first post as well)

i pack healing signet instead of balth spirit, i can get enough energy from my zealous blade to sustain hh and frenzy, and i dont care much about getting adren from the spiders, i get enough just being hit normaly and attacking 25% faster. i use healing signet mainly for running as well, i might switch to silverwing or balth spirit if i get more use to running without healing signet though, but then again i dunno, i need a lot of room in my inventory when i do this run, sometimes i go in with full clean inventory and still have to leave a few things on the ground, those extra armor peices might take up some room, it is really helpful if you accidently agro some driftwoods and a dryder in which you will have to use healing signet some because the dryder strips hh

Through Trial and error, i LEARNED to bring healing signet over bath spirit because I have a zealous mod and once i aggro the skales and a dryder, i'm basically dead unless i break aggro and by some miracle driftwoods come and i put up HH.

Ugh. I've cleared the whole thing once, but every time I've been going back I've been dying on like the 2nd group.
My problem is it's very hard to get the first few groups pulled far enough away from the others so I don't aggro them, and I've also been having problems getting them bunched up so they aren't healing.
Any tips on the pulls for the first few groups?

If your not using the healing hands build you should be able to go in and whack the dryders all to death usually..
If you are using the healing hands build, I have a similar problem, I pull two dryders away and then they start to drop, I have to just hope I dont aggro the 3rd..
I would suggest not trying to get them balled up, a lot of times they appear to be close enough but accually arent(for me at least) and healing spring heals them up, its really annoying to try and power through that. What I do is sit back and wait for them all to spawn and go on thier little patrols. They are usually far enough apart for you to just go in and take them out one by one.. Thats my method, but racthoh has some "leet spider farming method of doom" he isnt sharing me thinks -_-

The 3rd one can be pulled from the side, depending on how the skales spawn. You can try pulling from the front, you just need to make sure your bubble doesn't touch where the front dryder was standing.
In either case, 16 sword, Frenzy... you can drop the dryder before the spiders kill you, then use Healing Hands, followed by Sprint to escape.
No leet method other than what I show in the videos. Maybe there is something subtle I do, I dunno. I'd have to be controlling your game to figure that out.

i pull the first 2 with long bow to the mini land bridge island, peninsula? sp and just rip them apart, for the other dryder, i kinda get near that stone on the right, near the edge of the beach, and measure aroudn 3-4 ingame feet away from it to the left and attack with the bow to get him kinda started out, if i see any more red dots appear right when i hit him with the bow, lol i run immedietaly , but if i got him half way agroed back and red dots appear on accident, i just finish him, hit hh and sprint away like he said ^
sometimes to get started, i killed the first 3 spiders that spawn, then i run away, then i watch the spawn and start in hugging the left wall tryn to take out as many as i can without agroing the rest, from there, their population just starts going down to 0, if they ever ball up, i usualy make sure my sprint is ready, run right in the group while huggin the left wall a bit, stop in their pit , hit x quickly and then hit sprint and run out, this usually trails them a lil bit in your escape path so taht you can have a lil chain of them to start you off, so that your not called shot to death by the whole group at once, but i have to do this cus im still wearing normal glad armor with tanzit defender , i dont even have the strength req to get the full 16 al lol,

Hmm i think I'm gonna stick with this build:
I was pretty pissed at the W/Mo build because after nearly killing myself five times just trying to run to the spiders I found out I can't aggro ALL the spiders and still live even with HH. This build may be slower but I can make the run easier and aggro all the spiders.

^^Kyrtas, instead of final thrust, use Sun and Moon slash. Once you charge your adrenaline, you'll have all of your attack skills very close to being recharged the entire time. This makes things go by MUCH quicker.

yea, in the end, whatever suits you best and gets what you want done your way, is usually the best choice
**edit**
but i still love this build :P
can chop right through a couple healing springs, making the cave clearing part much faster then before heh

I find that Dragon Slash and Final Thrust synergize so poorly that it is better to take another skill. Dragon Slash should always have 5 adrenaline charged up after the first swing of it, 4 if you are using less than 16 sword. And by using final thrust you eliminate that 5 adrenaline and are forced to start your chain over again.

when i did this run in the past without the wammo build, i always took 2 adren attacks, 1 IAS stance and 1 energy attack, this synergize perfectly, but when i modified it, had more then 2 adren attack, or more then 2 energy skills, like having power attack, physical ressitance, and thrill of victory, the energy always synergized badly, i would stick with just 2 adren 1 energy attack and an energy stance like flurry, frenzy, or physical resistance. seemed to have best luck going taht way in skill selection

Ascalon and knights are now part specific and damage reduction from shields and stuff is only good vs physical damage. So wastrels will now always do 64 and better off to go with legionaire glads and no ascalon and knights pieces. Anet I guess is starting to try and nerf the warrior a little bit. Also standing slash is now 6 adreline which is good for sword builds.

wastrel worry does no damage if you cancel it out much, and really , i think im going to start going with full ascalon, the -3 damage seems still a bit more favorable then 10 more al in my opinion though. but really the nerf didn hurt this build much only the people using glad armor with 1 peice ascalon, the damage you wanna reduce anyway is physical, unless they made the spiders needle attack elemental? lol
