Gz on 24mins. What is shadow of haste for?
Also, if vale team is the first one done I'm guessing mnts/pools are done last? In which case using ele terras would speed the run up directly... by potentially a full minute or 2.

well theres a build on pvxwiki for dayway, why not fixing it up to match the details from this, it sucks as of now, only a few have instructions on what to do and the ele most people are clueless about , it as well has no instructions.

I have no idea who put DayWay on pvxwiki but it looks like they just copied builds from the original post. Builds evolve and also tend to change according to who is playing them. For instance Gesun Dheit came on a run as Rit and with his Uber-Powerful "Splinter Weapon" he changed the speed of vale so fast that we had him splinter himself all the way to wastes and solo the quest. Then when we got to Dhuum we noticed that using splinter weapon he was able to completely kill a minion before it burned to death on the E/Mo. We feel this is more humane and Dhuum seamed pleased enough at having less PI damage directed his way
And yes the tera's could certainly run E/A if they wish but no one has bothered yet as that usually isn't the last area before tele. Shadow of Haste (or recall) is being used to duo pits quest (and get final quest from Frostwind) and it has shifted from the a/d bar to the a/me.

I'm guessing yall kill the minions instead of incasing them? IMO better to have 1 person dedicated to encasing them and 6 dedicated to resting/fury. But just a thought.

IMO encasing is useless unless you plan on your E/Mo dying and if you have 20minions encased and your e/mo dies/drops bonds then its still a pain. The Rit does not die and become a spirit (he casts ebsw and pi and spirits) so you have a total of 6 people in spirit form. I can't see any benefit to encasing when everyone should concentrate on spamming rest and occasionally healing and removing dp from e/mo.
Here are a few vids of some pulls made by the a/me's. I havn't annotated them yet etc but will eventually get around to it.

I'm an ele and would really like to try this out. The only problem is that I'm not very experienced in the uw, so finding a group is near impossible. I'm sure with a little direction and explanations I could run the build just fine.

nice work guys but if you're bringing ruthless as my replacement i expect a decrease > 1 min :P
glad to see you can do it without me, keep it up as my schedule is now f*cked.

chamber should have killed everything by the time rit+emo have just killed skeleton (right after he laid eoe) and are running through mindblades.

i know it doesnt matter if vale is sped up, but it's just better so why not use it. :\ you can use splinter in vale versus wrathful, it works. ancestor's rage works there too. they will add way more damage than an additional spirit can especially since you can't keep painful bond up at all times on all targets. it's pretty hard to do so anyways.
|
if you know it doesnt matter if vale is sped up why bother worrying about how to speed it up.

also, you will not draw agro if you cast splinter weapon on a A/E because they stand a bit outside the agro of the dryders, so unless you completely suck, you will not draw agro by casting that on your teamy wanding the dryders. even if you suck and you do, let's hope you have the brainpower to run north, away from the reaper and die so they can reagro the dryders.
|
so you risk breaking agro and dying for ~2 second decrease (not factoring in the general loss @ dhuum)? its really fast with a degen bomb + suicide emo. better if the rit lays eoe and chills.
and who are you?

We have been encasing all the minions when we do Dhuum, and it works fine. As long as you have 1 dedicated Encaser, you don't have to waste your time killing the minions. Dhuum will instead only be able to summon 20 minions, and spend more time attacking which in turn make him die faster by using Judgement more often, and with PI that is win. Or am I wrong by that logic?

you may be on to something there. i've done some encase runs, but didn't think about it that way. the drawback is, the e/mo and rit can solo kill the skeletons freeing up the encaser to spam rest or damage. and if the encaser sleeps, the ele can be overwhelmed very fast.

We have looked at the theory that he casts judgment more often if he maxes out on minions but haven't seen any evidence of it. (In fact we will look at any theory no matter how unlikely if it will speed up this boring task). Therefore it seems a waste of time and focus to take anything away from spamming rest and occasional healing and dp removal.

But you have tested it? I know when we did it, he seemed to use it every 20 seconds instead of every 30 or so.

Dhuum uses judgment exactly 45 seconds apart. and yes we tested it with a stopwatch. so encasing is a complete waste of time and poses the risk of 20 unfriendly's running around with claustrophobic induced rage. he only varies from the 45sec if he is underground during the time he would have casted judgment
23min run tonight btw.

btw, some people seem to be quite amused with that skill-bar. I was experimenting with with different bars and tactics at the time and that was a bulletproof build for testing and being able to sit in skele/charged aggro for a bit. (quite capable of running pools/mnts or whatever without iau or refuge etc.....haters! lol)

Oh shite! you guys are doing HM???
So thats why we are getting fast times........
And I am not sure why his skill description is exactly correct (even in HM when he should recharge and cast 33%-50% faster) but it is. We just tested it and every single time.........exactly 45 seconds.

yea we thought that too. but he was very very consistent with casting every 45s. the only thing that overrides it, is if he teleports when using it, causing judgement to end abruptly or if he is teleporting when he would normally cast it, causing him to skip casting judgement and potentially waiting 90s between his casts.

gogo teams to post different tactis w/ corresponding screenies of times, would like to see the difference.
Judgement of Dhuum 45sec exact waste of time encasing because he wont use minion skills anymore. AI has Judgement highger on priority. plus you waste a guy on rest + ghostly fury. When hes standing in ward thats a whole min saved on dhuum vs the other BS that you guys came up with on incasing = a 2 min differential. PI doesnt trigger on incased minions, so again ...
incasing = bad
have a great day, gg
