Green Farming, A revival
So, the SF nerf took a bit of a toll on green farming. Now, at the mercy of physical damage, and most unfortunately, interrupts, the old build is easily outdated. However, we can't let that facet of the game be crushed so easily.
I've taken to attempting a few of the old runs I used to run in NM with a bit of a variation, playing to the defensive aspect as the meta would have it be, and it's worked with a rather good degree of success. There are advantages to the change to SF, allowing and disallowing previous farms. I'd like to catalog the bosses here and the builds associated, as each requires a bit of a different
Factions

--Bringer of Deceit (NM)

Not much to start, but I'll see how much I can add in the coming weeks. Any contributions or suggestions would be much appreciated.

yeah, here's an easier guide: take a full h&h team, clear the area, flag away, and spirit spam
works for virtually every boss

Difficult question to answer.
If your looking to get greens to sell I wouldn't bother as few if any fetch a reasonable price.
For your own or heroes use then its an easy way to equip them with some pretty nice weapons.
I would go to guildwiki look up the stats of the weapons till you find some you would like and then check the map to see which ones are near towns, that way you can do some quick runs.
I guess most of the greens are easily farmed with the build all depends on how far you have to travel to kill the boss, that's why I stick to those close to gates.
I spirit spammed Kephet in the crystal desert which was pretty easy and got a double drop on the second run.

True, and I have resorted to that quite a few times, but there are also quite a few where it's faster and more convenient to use SF. Fahralon is an excellent example of that.
I'm just picking at a few bosses that are relatively easy to get the handle on the concept for now; quite a few of these would be far more favorable now to spirit spam. It's all a matter of preference, and in this case, just to see if it's still possible for much of it.

Grenths Balance W/N can solo pretty much any boss also with the h/h flag system.

Assuming you can live through it, sliver armor is immensely faster than any H/H setup. Run to the boss without killing anything, kill the boss without touching his minions. There's a reason this build was king.

Seems I forgot to mention, the primary focus is reviving the A/E Green farmer. More or less, picking at what bosses it can handle and with what. I may compile further builds to fill in for the bosses it can't handle, but that's at a later date further off.
I'm open to boss suggestions, as I've been randomly selecting the previous.

If its faster then people would use it, end of question. If its not then this thread would eventually die out automatically. I would use SF until the day it gets SBed simply because it still remains as the premier tanking skill that I like to use to play 7 monks 1 Sin Ray of Judgment doomsday destruction beam that lags the comp for fun.

Let's refrain from arguing over SF. That can be done elsewhere with a great deal of more people willing to do so.

Seems like a lot of effort to get an item that's rarely worth more than 3k, especially since a drop isn't guaranteed! Do some farming that's worth while, like DoA/FoW or Raptors/Vaettirs if you're into solo and then buy the green.
I'm sure it wouldn't be very difficult to set up a solo green build for any profession in NM. Atleast in HM there's a chance of leet tomes.

It's actually pretty effective. I farmed a few greens last night for kicks. The trick is flagging the heroes away early so the minions don't end up killing the boss before they grey out.
Probably the most in-demand green I see right now is Ssynn's Staff (rit, chan). I think everyone is making rits right now considering how much the runes are going for (like 4k+ for spawning and shaman's). The was one I would farm by the bucketload using shadowform. I'd like to see someone figure out a decent solo build for that.

Just being wary of KD and AoE damage. The damage reduction buffs may prove more useful there than the previous build. I'll give it a shot and see if I can't throw something together.

The problem with Ssynn is that the Naga have Seeking Arrows + Conc Shot. It totally craps on Shroud of Distress. I had a theorycraft idea of trying to ball all the Rangers up and hitting them with Unseen Fury and THEN casting, but that would probably be a lot of work and you could die before pulling it off. It could possibly work in NM, though, if you just want the staff. I'll have to test it later.

I highly recommend trying NM first. Green drop rate is the same. Gave a few builds a shot, but I'm still roughing it out. Two problems with perma sliver: the inherent chance of a false target on sliver, and the severe difficulty in casting from daze and interrupts. I've not tried the full scope of builds for perma yet, but have fiddled with a few other options. From what I can tell, it's either left to a precast dive bomber that can pop out, or something a little more hardy. I'd hate to say the only resort is a SoS farm, as that's brutally slow and the universal standard.
