There was another post about farming Zlnehlun Fastfoot outside Rilohn Refuge with a Necro. Not even a 55 necro. Couldn't find it in this thread so here it is (I take no credit for this build cuz it ain't mine and I can't find the opiginal thread due to extreme laziness):
N/A
Attributes
Blood Magic: 3
Curses: 12 + 1 + 3
Shadow Arts: 12
Skills
[skill]awaken the blood[/skill][skill]spiteful spirit[/skill][skill]price of failure[/skill][skill]desecrate enchantments[/skill][skill]defile enchantments[/skill][skill]death's charge[/skill][skill]shadow of haste[/skill][skill]dash[/skill]
Just use Death's charge and then Dash to get past that first group north of the shrine. Keep running (stay right) then engage Shadow of Haste before it opens up.
Continue to the right until you're on the middle of the bridge, all the baddies should have appeared by now, then hit dash to return to where you activated SoH.
Wait for them to ball up (Fastfoot and 13-17 of his cronies).
Then get in behind the rock wall to the right, just out of aggro range.
Engage SoH go around the corner, aggro them all, hit Dash. Wait for them to ball up again whilst trying to shoot you thru the wall . Target Fastfoot, cast AtB, then SS, then PoF, then Desecrate, then Defile.
Whole run takes about 2 minutes. And it might just be me, but his green seems to drop like candy at Willy Wonka's Chocolate Factory for me. I swear every 3rd or 4th run I get his green bow. Also a steady supply of golds - oddly enough the weapons seem to have the "of Shelter" (+7 vs Physical) mod on them. Not all of them mind you, but more often then not they have it.
Side Note: If someone else can point me at the thread this build came from, I will post a link to it in this post and give full credit where credit is due.

it's there, just not too in-depth - the guide's big enough as it is. :P
yeah, that run is epic for event weekends (although raptors dethroned it.) also, you get plenty of Ranger / Elite Ranger tomes, golds, picks, and other goodies.

Just wanted to add that you can farm some sunspear points while doing the Zelne run (and a high sunspear rank is good for any necro -> Necrosis):
Instead of activating SoH after passing the Ntouka, continue running down the path into the spiders across the bridge and let them kill you. You will respawn at the shrine right next to the Kournan garrison. Get the insect bounty from the priest and then run like hell (use dash) from the Kournans (they will aggro most of the time) towards the northern ramp. You can then sneak along the northwestern wall to the standard position behind the rock and continue normally with the pull using SoH/Dash.
This way the run will net you about 130 sunspear points, so you will be rank 9 after a hundred runs or so. It takes only slightly longer than doing it in the normal manner (maybe 10 secs) since you would have to wait for the spiders to do their ball thingy anyway.

HM, I'll adjust the above post with some pics on locations for activating skills and where to stand for killing the mob.

Definately gonna try this.
On a side note, is it possible to do the Spectral Vaettir farm in EotN with Necro? I've seen the build for ele (over and over), and was thinking it should be possible. Maybe not as fast or easy as with ele, but still possible. Anyone?
Found a R/N build that apparently works, gonna see if I can get it to work with N/R:
[skill]melandru's resilience[/skill][skill]vampiric bite[/skill][skill]vampiric touch[/skill] Optional Optional [skill]storm chaser[/skill][skill]zojun's haste[/skill][skill]dodge[/skill]
Only reeeeeeeeal big problem is that the R/N build relies on Expertise. Going to try it with max blood and max WS. Doubt it tho.....
Any ideas there Fuzzy?

do you mean HM or NM?
NM is easily possible with Soul Leech, Backfire, and some self heals. HM is a whole lot scarier - i shall see what i can do.

I'll usually try and farm in HM just for giggles. But being as glacial stones are not loot scaled (I think?) nm should be okay. But for a challenge, I'm gonna go with HM. O, and the Melandru's thing failed miserably. Too much energy consumption. Maybe add in hmm, I was gonna say Storm Chaser, but then that would negate the Melandru's......

Sunspear rank is really of little consequence - even at r0, it does 40 damage, which would be enough. however, it only starts doing more damage than Vampiric Gaze at rank 6 - so, rank 5 and under, bring Vamp Gaze, rank 6 and over, bring necrosis.

Sasuke: 36 energy will work, but higher energy is always preferable.
as far as vaettirs go, you guys had me worried - i thought they would be a challenge.
I guess not.
group them up with a wall on their left, don't spam, watch patrols on the way there. will add to guide ASAP.
EDIT: Also did some HM Nolani Academy runs today - got run time down to 2 mins. will post screens tomorrow.

I'm sad when it comes to computer skills, so I don't know how to post any pretty pictures in here like some of you. But I thought I should share the SLotS (Secret Lair of the Snowmen) farm for 55 necros in Eye of the North. For those unfamiliar with this dungeon, you get it from Koris Deeprunner (Hope I got the name right. It's close to that if that's wrong.) in Umbral Grotto for turning in the 4 map pieces. HM farming is best, since stuff dies faster, has a fairly good gold drop rate, and has a rather high drop rate for monk tomes (in my experience, at least).
The Build
prot spirit
shielding hands
spiteful spirit
suffering
necrosis (assuming your Sunspear rank makes it worthwhile)
awaken the blood
desecrate enchantments
option (I like to bring shadow strike, but whatever you want is fine. Defile enchantments is another good option.)
The Setup
Go in and get the Beacon of Droknar blessing thing, then go out the main door until the Glimmering Snowman shouts something like "They found our secret lair! Snowmen to arms!" Stop. Turn back toward where you spawned with your back to the snowmen. A bunch of snowmen will come running toward you. Cast prot spirt when you're just about to catch aggro, then shielding hands. Without shielding, you'll go down in ~1 second. A 20% enchant weapon is preferable for this shielding hands part. As soon as you catch aggro, run behind the icicles sticking out of the ground nearest to you. It may take a few tries to find the right spot, but if you're behind them right, the snowmen can't hit you with anything and you don't need to maintain prot spirit or shielding hands. The snowmen will kill Koris, then head toward you.
The Kills
Cast awaken the blood. The snowmen will probably have split into 2 groups around the icicles. Target one in the middle of the larger group (just to kill as many as fast as possible) and hit him with SS. Hit the other group of snowmen with suffering and desecrate. SS will finish off the first side. Feel free to spam the suffering/desecrate side with necrosis and shadow strike (or whatever you brought). Cast SS on the snowman with the most HP left (so it's most effective) in the second group when the hex recharges. Bam. Perfect for weekend event farming (hint hint) and a pretty good monk tome farm (Snowmen are monks).
There's a second group of Snowmen that's harder to kill. If they run down to the big doorway through which you walked at the beginning (you'll know what I'm talking about if you're in there), you can aggro them and hide behind the wall (find a good spot; if they can hit you, they can knock you down; plus, shielding hands won't last forever) to the left of the door (left when looked at from where you spawned). This second group doesn't usually come down here, however, and fighting them out in the open is impossible unless you bring anti-kd and another damage reduction/reversal skill, and it's not worth the time imo when you can just kill the first group in under 2 minutes (yeah, literally, /age You have spent 1 minute on this map. *Zone because the first group is dead.*). Quite a nice farm. Introduced to me by a guildie to whom I am forever grateful.
LOVE this thread, btw. It gave a lot of new places to farm, and I get to do it with my amazing necro, my first toon. Thanks for making/maintaining it.
